  1. Yes I'm serious. WTF has Linfield's gate prices got to do with what we charge. I paid 7 euros to watch Nancy away and a damn sight more at the return leg - no corellation at all. Does your logic stretch to charging £25.00 if its a full-time club? hope we get one in the draw, sure that will help to justify the price to yourself, when handing over your hard-earned. Who's telling anyone to save up for their ticket lol - prices have been announced, if you want one buy it. If you want to save up so be it, but nobody is telling you or anyone else to do that. Individuals choice. And if you can't see what frazzie tried to explain about how many more needed to come through the gates at the reduced prices to make the same level of income, then you are exactly as paraphrased. Do you seriously believe that the Club would increase the gate 20% by reducing prices. or as in Numpty's example an extra 1000 on top of the 4000 who will go anyway?
  2. Rumoured that Hearts have made an offer
  3. At last common ground - £30.00 it is then. What has the opposition got to do with price of a ticket for a Euro game. It's already been explained that a reduction isn't going to produce the desired increase to make it viable, so why do it, just to make the ground look full?, even though we don't make as much money. It's only common economic sense, and to paraphrase your previous comment - "and only an idiot would think otherwise". There is nothing either to substantiate claims that reductions in price reductions breed new generations of fans or attracts stay-away ones to come back on a regular basis (our average attendances bear that one out).
  4. ...................... and only an idiot would think otherwise.
  5. But more importantly probably lower income streams.
  6. Does nobody actually read these statements (sorry not just getting at you Dezz - but also those who get there knickers in a twist over ticket allocations for away matches when the arrangements are purely for the home ties). The statmenet reads.... "Fans should note that the days allotted for the Second Qualifying Rounds are 17th July for the first leg and 24th July for the return leg. Obviously it is still not known when the match will take place at Fir Park so anyone buying prior to the draw being made (23rd June) should be able to attend on any of those two dates."
  7. You're aware these arrangements are only for the home match?
  8. Might be wrong, but I think he's just winding up Makaveli, by suggesting that the t'internet may be full of false claims and lies. "Why would I come on to the Internet and tell lies? " - why indeed lol
  9. Why is he no well? It really is silly season.
  10. Or does he see him as a replacement for Ainsworth.
  11. And yet it was only 3 - funny how drink takes its toll .
  12. That part of his Community Payback Order?
  13. Hope to f..k its for 'flow's old job
  14. Would you like a role with Society? - keep this up and we'll be at the £1.5m in no time
  15. Unfortunately Celtic I think in the first of their 9 in-a-row.
  16. They dropped a division, so might be looking to offload.
  17. Unfortunately the club needs everything in the 'pot', because like it or not the playing budget, whilst the most important, isn't the only function of the club - but you know that and don't need me to point it out - even though I just have. But your comment has made me evaluate and think about future contributions to either 'Well Society or club directly and what would benefit the Club most - would love to do both just can't. I had considered upping my contribution to the Well Society, then thought that perhaps the additional money may be better channelled to the Club, given its current predicament. Anyone care to offer some practical advice. My initial thought was to pay for extra season tickets, to the value of my increased contribution, thereby providing the Club with direct funds, but this would be a one-off and unlikely to be available year-on-year. The other obvious alternative is to upgrade the subscription and let the Well Society filter the money to the club as and when required. I want to help as much as I can, but am unsure which direction to take on this. Anybody else in this predicament.
  18. Similar scheme already in place Postie. Was introduced earlier in the year to attempt to attract new membership.
  19. And this unfortunately is multiplied many times over throughout our 'core' support. Happy that the Directors are not resting on their laurels and are actively seeking alternative funding, hopefully successfully.
