  1. Hope this is just a rumour - though I believe it likely to be more than that. Had his time, surely better players (in our price bracket) than Clarky out there.
  2. Yeah lots are claiming it as their own, sadly I only ever linked it to Celtic. The Glentoran one is a real surprise.
  3. Don't think so cambo - that, I'm certain has always been one of the few original Celtic songs - recorded by Glen Daly at the Ashfield Club circa 1961'ish. Some digging around Everton sites suggests only being sung since the middle to late eighties.
  4. Adopted by Liverpool in early sixties after Gerry & the Pacemakers (from Liverpool) released it as a single. Stolen and sung by nearly every club at some point thereafter (I'm almost certain even Rangers sung it). Definitely NOT a Celtic song originally - eventually most clubs moved on to other songs/chants, Celtic continued to sing it and 'adopted' it as their own. Another copycat - 'the Poznan' (though that might be the Huddle "something else" refers to).
  5. Ha Ha - a picture and story for every eventuality - truly a legend
  6. Who the f..k is 'elbows' - McCulloch?
  7. Confirmed first leg at Fir Park 17 July
  8. Damn was hoping it would be the other way round - won't make away leg - off on holibags 25th
  9. Not even allegedly - sure he was cleared.
  10. Suppose if your going to go back it might as well be for that reason
  11. You'd go back again? - thought it might be once visited never to return (bit like Katowice, now there was a backwater town if ever there was one).
  12. Ha Ha only a matter of time good one.
  13. Having time to consider this, could be a good bit of business for the club. Now who's gonna replace him - Higdon? I really need to post quicker - gazzumped twice in the one thread
  14. Anier gone http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2014/06/19/well-sell-anier-to-aue/ - that's a shocker
  15. What a fabulous gesture - has this been publicised anywhere or have I just missed it.
  16. LOL too true - Oh I know what they say - but being successful would mean MJC having to remove his cloak of anonymity.
  17. Have they really applied though - I thought they were just at the wind-up?
  18. Welcome back Lionel - things really taking shape and early too.
  19. See you on the 12th big fella - good luck.
  20. LOL - yeah it was another poster I mixed you up with on the financial information. Its still about affordability though, but I agree the two are probably closely related (fleeced and cost).
  21. But that was the whole basis of your previous arguement - was it not? Just out of curiosity and for no other reason than to prove I'm not losing my mind - did you amend your previous postings to remove personal financial information (a wise move), or did I imagine it lol.
  22. Saving yourself and everyone else who attends - a fiver and losing the club much needed income into the bargain.
  23. Yes I'm serious. WTF has Linfield's gate prices got to do with what we charge. I paid 7 euros to watch Nancy away and a damn sight more at the return leg - no corellation at all. Does your logic stretch to charging £25.00 if its a full-time club? hope we get one in the draw, sure that will help to justify the price to yourself, when handing over your hard-earned. Who's telling anyone to save up for their ticket lol - prices have been announced, if you want one buy it. If you want to save up so be it, but nobody is telling you or anyone else to do that. Individuals choice. And if you can't see what frazzie tried to explain about how many more needed to come through the gates at the reduced prices to make the same level of income, then you are exactly as paraphrased. Do you seriously believe that the Club would increase the gate 20% by reducing prices. or as in Numpty's example an extra 1000 on top of the 4000 who will go anyway?
