Nah never, we've not beat a team we weren't favourites against yet, though we do have two big failures in Mypa47 and Stjarnaan.

The rest I'd say have went with the team you would have expected to win over the two legs.

That’s my recollection as well... the only one I could think of that was a decent (as opposed to great) result to go through was Aalesund

To be fair, I thought Carson was a bit ropey during open play...a good few times he could have commanded his box much better than he did

I thought that too... don’t remember him coming for one cross, although he did get a fingertip to the one that O’Hara cleared off the line. I still gave him MotM though

It is a lockdown but I presume like here in UK, professional sportsman get preferential allowances to play as they are being tested.

Anyone checked the small-print of the Israeli lockdown rules? Does their definition of “professional” square with what we saw for lots of last night?

Will be surprised if we have to go to Israel as they are in total lockdown . All the home based Israel players coming to Scotland 10 days before play off game on 8th October so they can train so would think it will be moved to another country . Also as they are not able to train and needed injury time equaliser and winner against a 10 man Albanian team do even though we are crap we still have a chance . Tonight was all about getting through and we did so that’s all that matters and we’re now 250K better off so roll on next week you never know it’s football and anything can happen

Maccabi Haifa played at home tonight as far as I can gather

  5. I'm thinking the 8 stick-ons for the first 11 are: Carson, Grimshaw, Gallagher, Lamie, McGinley, Donnelly, Campbell and Hastie... then likely any 3 from O'Hara, Turnbull, Polworth, Long, Lang, Watt, White. Good to have decent options going forward, and I'd be surprised if anyone else came into the starting team that's not in that wee list.

  6. Squad's looking good, and any additions to it are a bonus as far as I'm concerned... unless we lose anyone. Hopefully getting everyone in place early sets us up for a good start as well. We could field a pretty settled / first choice team tomorrow, which I'm not sure many of our competitors could say... signings by other teams seem to have been few and far between so far.

Never ceases to amaze me the logic of footballers, just because training is back, doesn't mean the pandemic is over. Anyway hopefully in 6 months its Done and so is Dunne, as a club we are to benevolent to injured players, he should be away.

Charles Dunne was only there to drive people home.
