  1. Has anyone else noticed that since Klimpl did his wee interview with the papers "praising" referees in Scotland, for letting him be a bit "heavy" in the challenge without getting booked, that he has been booked in almost every game since !!! Me thinks his master plan has backfired !!!! Mon the Klimp !!!
  2. thoughts are with you and your family Jim64
  3. having just read the article in question, it can be best summarised as follows ...... ...Celtic tried to play the silkiest soccer imaginable, but were pissing against the wind on our ploughed sand-pit !! Motherwell slogged on, sending out our hatchet men (Klimpl and Craigan get extra special merit in that dept apparently !!) and were obviously never going to get a goal if it wasn't for the shambolic disgrace of a playing surface !!! Now I'm sorry, yes our pitch is a disgrace-but that debate has been done to death, and we have to live with it till the end of the season. secondly, both teams were playing on the same surface therefore (if you excuse the pun) its a level playing field !! and the whole "handled and manhandled" comment about Craigan and the"took out as opposed to took on" comment about Klimpl are laughable !! The Herald certainly used to be one of the better, more un-biased reads, but I'm afraid that of late it has certainly joined in with the rest of the "Pander to the O/F brigade". anyway onwards and upwards !! 'mon the well !!!
  4. how about ...you get the square metre of turf from the old pitch being ripped up ? not great quality turf, but thats not really the point is it ??
  5. "You see !! I told you !! stand up for 30 seconds and some pikey bastard will nick your seat !!!" or "here, Mutley, 'ave no seen you smilin like this for a while !!"
  6. after a reality check, a good hard boot in the stones, and a decent pep talk from McGhee, I actually think that there might just be a good result waiting for us on Sunday !! IF the squad we have is back on their game, coupled with the ploughed field that we're used to , then I think we might just give the Phuddle Dhrinkers a much tougher game than they think !! I'm gonna stick my neck out here and go for 1-0 to the mighty 'Well with the goal being supplied by M. Fitzpatrick Mibbe, just mibbe that would get some of the "Fitzy Bashers" off his back for a wee while ??? 'mon the Well
  7. I think it was more of a team effort (or lack of ) than any individual that was to blame tonight. I dont think criticism can be thrown at just 1 or 2 players tonight, as they were all below par !! on the bright side .... we might not have a decent playing surface, but we have a stadium with a bit of character and atmosphere, something that St Midden most definitely dont !
  8. just watched Mark McGhee giving an interview on the bbc website there. listening to what he said, just made me think that perhaps there was a wee bit of coaching from somewhere, after the Malpish statement of "I dont answer to the fans!", McGhee has just stated that he works for the fans !!! Glad to hear it !! WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW HERE
  9. startin to pray for a wee last minute winner !!! c'mon the well
  10. Adam Coakley just scored for Queens park !! now 2-1
  11. sounds very much like a "shot-shy" game !! needing Sutton on as well now !! canny waste any more time
  12. had a wee chuckle at that !! was that no the night that Jay lost his boaby ?? that was after it whacked a good few on the walk up from the bus to Easter rd !!! brilliant night, bonkers celebrations, and superb atmos on the bus comin home !!! more of the same this year please ?!?!?
  13. good result !! more of the same on saturday please !!
  14. just to echo whats been said already guys ... ....to anybody travelling up today, TAKE CARE on the roads !!! absolutely dreadful driving conditions, and hopefully no late call offs after people have started travelling !!
  15. was on Radio Snyde on the 12;30 sports bulletin just there !! apparntly Porter is having second thoughts, and Derby have already spoken to McGhee can only be good for our coffers !!1
  16. apparently the big man is having 2nd thoughts now that Derby are trying to sign him as well !!! let the bidding war commence !!!!
  17. at the same level as Faddy was when with us then ? as i think he was 26 goals in 63 starts !! anyway glad he got a hat-trick a few weeks ago, should leave a good memory of his time at the 'Ark
  18. sorry to see him go, but it sounds like good money for himbeing out of contract soon !! best wishes and thanks for the goals big man !!
  19. I keep gettin pulled up for saying it myself Al !! thats the only reason i spotted it !!
  20. Freudian slip Al ? or something we need to know ?
  21. majority of whats been said, I agree with, but I feel that Darren Smith most definitely CAN do a job for us, and probably just needs a consistent run in the team ! The Klimp certainly looks to be a force in midfield, and hopefully by releasing Bob "the liability" Malcolm, we can free up some money to secure his services for the next few seasons. Like Gaag said, it looks like something has happened to Sutton -would really like to know whats goin on there !! as he looked to be on fire when he signed, and has all but dissappeared off the radar !!! Mon da well- you hit the nail on the head with Hammell, he most definitely is not the player that left us a few seasons ago !! when he went, I had said for some time that he was without a doubt the best left back in Scottish football at the time, I was ecstatic when we resigned him, but he doesn't seem to be half the player he was when he left !! Over all though, I think we have for the first time in along while, the Nucleus of what could be an absolutely superb team !! Fingers crossed for some luck in the transfers dept. both this window and during the summer !!!
