  1. yip, it is quiet , you carry on telling yourself and others that's the reason, if you really think it
  2. honestly thought you were at the wind up , but follow up posts makes me think you were serious? Watt was unable to breakthrough at a Belgian 2nd tier team led by a 31 year old Spanish striker named Esteban .........yip that one
  3. Its like week to week they've never played together as a starting 11........ people kidding themselves on Moult dropping out is the root cause, he was involved in as many of the brutal games as he has missed. Give Robinson another 3 or 4 players and we'll have another 8-12 weeks selection shuffling before having to go with Lasley picking a best 11 and battling for survival. The injuries have dealt Robinson a tough hand, him treating his squad players as versatile superstars is laughable, they are not at that level or anywhere near it, they need structure and familiarity around them on the pitch. he can do it, it will be horrible to watch, but it needs to kick in now, cut out the mistakes by getting back to basics..
  4. another dissapointing goal to lose, Carson palmed it out at near post for corner under no real challenge or need corner was cleared out box , but no one to challenge outside box, ball chipped back in to box, laid off to wilson on edge of box who struck it well. no chance of clearing lines, with no out ball
  5. HT 0-0 Be lucky to finish without a red, Ref getting quicker with the card for our misdemeanours. overall decent from a mismatched squad, not quite Mclean backs to the wall but not a great deal play upfront
  6. for future reference: Motherwell: Carson, Tait, Grimshaw, Bigirimana, Hartley, McHugh, Rose, Fisher, Dunne, Kipre, Tanner subs: Xenodochov, Hammell, Bowman, MacLean, Turnbull, Campbell, Newell Rangers: Foderingham, Tavernier, John, Wilson, Jack, Herrera, Kranjcar, Morelos, Alves, Holt, McCrorie subs: Kelly, Hodson, Candeias, Peña, Hardie, Barjonas, Bates
  7. Its not that weird if the employees were the lowest paid that their voice would not be heard, its very common, that the supervisors at that tier do not escalate or sort out these issues, management structures should be in place to catch the issue , which isnt an isolated case
  8. I'm sure one of the Podcast lads will be along soon , but for now they have posted this up on their site: http://www.mfc1886.com/fans-help-make-christmas-toy-drive-massive-success/ which includes the following snippet:
  9. Brazilian

    Celtic Motm

some good performances tonight and laudible workrate from many, but Carson, again, was MOTM.
  10. Tait and Hartley were great to day, Trevor Carson had a world class save from where i was, might not have mattered but he stayed focussed enough to deal with it.
  11. I take it you are trolling, there is no way you are a Motherwell fan residing in Scotland that is unable to get a ticket for the final with very little effort. you made a decent point about match scheduling maybe limiting the floating fans , but the patter about us having 9000 diehard fans is pretty laughable
  12. When the pre-steel membership was introduced , it was to accommodate those that could not make the full upfront £300? Payment to be a member They were given membership including voting rights for signing up as members on a recurring payment scheme, expectation that they would continue contributing and become paid up members. Now for a minimal share purchase of £50 non members will be given a presteel society membership , with no contribution to society membership funds or enrolment in recurring payment scheme Only argument seems to be 'they will not get rewards' Counter to that, voting rights are not a reward , every member at every level has them , it was debated at length in society meetings that there is no requirement for annual subs to retain that voting right as it was earned by paying for membership Now you can get it for free
  13. Maybe you should read the offer before commenting http://www.thewellsociety.co.uk/share-sale-faq/ Non-members purchasing shares will be given a pre-steel membership of the society
  14. very possible weeyin, and essence of my comment, one off sale of the family silverware (20% shares). sell them and they have gone, use the return it to pay a loan off early when its not required, no reserves for any future problems some may argue we'll not sell the full £500k , but I feel , responsible business management would just not offer that amount , leaving teh society with no leverage in the event of any of the situations it was set up to protect the club against
  15. Selling the shares wasnt put to a vote, opinions were sought, so giving away memberships wasnt voted on as part of this party piece Depends, would that be your interpretation from the opening statement
  16. People need to be realistic , its a multimillion pound businesss that quite possibly could be desirable for any number of reasons primarlily its assests as speculated ( based on historical trends) , that is offering half a million pounds worth of shares in a public sale. not your mates printing of some wall art it wouldnt take a forensic investigators to match shareholding to individuals, what's your name, I'll tell you how many shares you hold, its a PLC its all online & public, albeit with a time lag. Fair enough to the folk who only want a certificate for the wall for £50, don't concern yourself, dont even bother to ask if its an ordinary or deferred share you are throwing a tenner at, if you don't care about that stuff, let the representatives get away with poorly worded FAQ's and throw away comments whilst speculating with your club assets. PS you might want to ask if you will get a certificate, as I cant see anywhere that says you will and for £50 income and share registration costs any acknowledgement is eating into the goal, but hey an easy and obvious question for the FAQ...... as of 16 January 2017 there were 2088 Deferred shares and 298712 Ordinary shares so 300,800 total number of shares in Motherwell Football and Athletic Club Limited (The) SC005702 on that date , The Well Society owned 17,115 and 204,700 from a quick scan (221,815) approx 73.74% they are offering up to £500k of shares if taken up with the share discounts could easily reduce shareholding to almost 53-57%, what are the plans for the cash raised? I notice they have rolled out the 'reserves for the club' line, after the whitewash of society funds being transferred to the club, I consider that slightly ironic and would ask for some re-assurances that, as they are effectively selling of the family silver in a one off deal, the funds are truly ring-fenced and we get back to core principles of the Society funds being loaned to the club, which is required to operate within its means of commerical income, with a full and binding expectation that the loans are repaid, to ensure the society does have reserves to support the club well into the future. and all of this just down to an almost ignorant FAQ section , which considering the sale is public might even be reported if someone so feels the need. I'm all for the sale of some shares, for me they would need to be oridnary with voting rights, otherwise the funds are as well straight into society and keep what are the societies only assets, in tact for future security. what really pissed me off, was making the sale public, and giving away free memberships, of the society, to any non member buying shares in the club, totally undermines the very essence of every current member buying into the 'society' to get that one member one vote. the only reply from the society is 'but they dont get rewards' (with the free membership) that just pissed me off even more, aye magic they dont get a pin badge or entry into an away ticket draw or place on a tour that there is no public evidence have ever happened, but being a member they get a vote on all society matters and can nominate for the society board, Farcical! P.S I'm sick of the society membership rewards being branded about as justification for anything, but the lack of governance on them is for a different discussion
  17. Dave are you answering on behalf of the soceity and the specific type of share they are selling, or offering info' on your own shareholding? Its important , the society answer clearly for this financial transaction. nothing is clear on the FAQ's regarding what type of shares these are, and what rights comes with them.
  18. Who says Motherwell fans don't have a positive outlook , born? and raised in the West of Scotland and still thinking we'll be about and able to tell the difference between Russell and Moult in the 2040's as for Favourite Goal, Psychos, Faddys, Moults et al are all up there but absolutely no doubt in my mind, one of Kirks simplest headers at the back post will be forever my favourite. Cooper swung a corner in from the right, into the wind, it teased Alan Main out towards 6yard line he got hands to it but under challenge from Paterson & Griffin? the ball made it through to Kirk arriving 3 yards out at the back post and he powered a header into the net.
  19. Dunno.....but the League match vs St Johnstone is now scheduled for Tuesday 6th February 2018 19:45 ko http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2017/10/27/saints-fixture-switched/
  20. with almost £4k banked there is a chance that this initial target could be achieved within 24 hours which would be a tremendous boost to everyone involved and help keep the buzz driving on. I'm not sure what seeing players, staff, executives and directors, Pedro , the SFA compliance officer and hundreds of Motherwell fans chipping in indicates, but its a nice feeling! go on , join in !
  21. as strange as it it , following a 2 goal performance from a star striker I too am going for Trevor Carson , the most quietly assured performance in a huge game from any keeper I can remember
