Cant say i am suprised by yesterdays result, as it happens time afer time. I also cant say i am suprised by the reactions by some. Given our resources, it's a miracle we've got a team of average to good footballers who would want to play for us. We have no right to win every game, and have to earn it. Maybe the players have forgotten this and believed the hype. Time to draw a line, roll up the sleeves and move on. It was only three points dropped and there is plenty of time to make this up.

Not suprised by todays scoreline. The bottom line like every other season, is although the old firms standards have dropped they still can afford to purchase strikers who can put the ball in the net. Workrate and tactics help of course to beat them, but LUCK is the key. Had Murphy's goal stood, then like many games before it's a different game. One of these days when we least expect it we will get the luck needed. It's obvious that McCall does not think that outwith Forbes anyone else on the bench is ready for the first team. Players need to be brought in, and pronto. We need a striker, sod this wide player malarky, get a central striker or two in. Next few games will tell us alot about our teams character.

according to radio scotland, thats correct he does not have a uk visa yet and wont play tomorrow.

initially there was chat about one fully owned signing and two loaned players. Nowt much been said about former. Is the money there or has the budget been cut?
-
Outwith the fans, i think the players and management owe themselves a performance and result against Rangers. They really have nothing to lose at this point of the season.
-
it happens that often the players would need to be stupid to believe it. Surely, the best way to seal a move would be to put in a performance against them, rather than the usual stage fright approach. Todays young footballers really should steer well clear of the old firm, if they want a successful career.

sure i read somewhere that big gers forward has scored in each of the last 8 away spl games. Anyone know if this is right?
-
brines has never ever been an average referee never mind good. The £840 he gets per game is a disgrace.
-
maybe we should ban all chat about the rangers game, until after it!

whilst there is time left yet within the transfer window, i cant help but feel that McCalls budget has been cut back. It was suggested we would bring in one more full time player, Reynolds or Gunning were likely players and a couple of loan signings. We've lost Saunders for the season, annd apparently released another couple of former u19 players, and yet all we here is that we are stepping up efforts to bring in a loan signing or if we are lucky two. Even looking at the u19's squad they seem awfully short of options up front as well. I appreciate finances are tight, but we are on the back of a good season in terms of generating income, and freed up alot of wages. You ve got to wonder if like last season the board or chief exec are moving the goalposts with regards to budgets. How long into the season before we start to struggle to even fill the bench? I dread to think what next seasons squad will look like if we dont equal last seasons efforts and rewards.

i heard it was his teammate Mustapha Plasma we were after.

what you mean is that the slow possession football aint for you. Would you rather watch Craigie Browns punt into the corners and chase?
-
with higdon being injured unless we get a really stupid offer, then it would be madness to let Murphy go. He is an invaluable assets to our clubs ambitions at this time. The Murphy transfer speculation chat and better publicity suprises me. What has changed since last season? He's only played two competetive games which hardly gives an indication that he has suddenly vastly improved. You've got to wonder who is pushing this, club or agent?
-
shows the expectations from some fans that an away draw against Killie, who often gives us problems, is deemed somehow not good enough. By all accounts is was a fair result, as their were chances at both ends. As for the comments that the subs bench lacked options, that seems to go against the running a smaller but better quality squad out the water. Gods only knows what our squad would have looke like had we not got to semi final, cup final and top six finnish last season. A draw and clean sheet should not be dismissed as a poor result. We are still top of the league!
-
i wonder what the we fall out was between agent and player? could it be agent was not happy player chose football over money? anyhow good player to resign. im sure we will bring in another one or two loan signings. The playing budget might be the same in financial terms, but like every other season, numbers are down. In the past we've been lucky that Saunders, Hutchison and Murphy have managed to step up to the senior level. I'm not so sure we have anyone else who is ready. Big ask to go through another season without major injuries and suspensions. So as of now, are we still awaiting a natural left sided midfield player or not?
-
fans complaing about meaningless games at the end of the season, but want to spend money watching a kick about pre season
-
What is it about motherwell fans wanting to flog our best players for peanuts? Murphy is one of our most talented and important players. Utd want £2m for Goodwillie, and quite right, given the stupid valuations down south, i.e. snodgrass, Mccormack etc aint any better than Goodwillie or Murphy.
-
Probably Gunning he wants back. As for Murphy, the link to Palace has been there for a while now, and looking at their fans websites seems it's a possible. If he goes, i hope we get good money for him and a good sell on percentage built into the deal. But i wont hold my breath on that! You've got to wonder what the club is going to do with all this money comming in, i.e cup football rewards, top six finnish, selling best players. You think Boyle's doing a runner with the money in his back pocket? One thing's for sure McCall's job aint going to get any easier.

Typical of Brown to be only interested in the short term. Im sure he'll leave them in a mess
-
at least the will he wont he sign for us has been cleared up quickly. The motherwell way is not to sign anyone until the last minute to save the pennies. We probably wont see any signings until mid july.
-
who cares who leaves. We have always lost players, and players with far more quality than those currently at Fir Park. We will continue to survive. It's the Motherwell way.
-
Who's to say they have not set a time limit of accepting the contract.
-
The club should insist that the SFA charge Brown for bringing the game into disrespute. Can imagine the outcry if the shoe had been on the other foot? just read McCall's reply to Brown in one of today papers. Well said our manager. Brown is an embarrassment.

Remember thats another season of experience under the belts of Saunders, Hateley & Hutchinson. Considering these guys to an extent have been thrown in at the deep end theyve done not to badly. Sure, we've lost alot of goals of late, but the players have played alot of games in recent seasons, and are probably jaded. With no European distractions, and hopefully a fully recharged and determined squad, much the same as this season, then we will do ok next season. Has Craigan's form been that much different than previous seasons? He seems to have always had good and bad spells each season. Perhaps start with Saunders and Hutchinson with Craigan as back up. Tho, how happy he would be with that... Outwith the old firm and perhaps Hearts (i.e. the big player budget clubs) who's a better left back than Hammell? At the end of every season, we always have a thread where someone states we need this position filled. God knows how long we've waited for a left side midfield player! We do need more a goalscoring threat from midfield. But then everyone is looking for that player. Suppose we will just need to sit and wait to see what unfolds.

Mclean's been a bombscare at Falkirk.
