Our players and team can only improve by playing against better players. As i said football gods were against us and we did not disgrace ourselves. That team apparently scored 17 goals from set pieces last season. Giants and a guy who can cross a ball certainly helps.

Plus a penalty we could or should have had when 1 all.

We have a new defence which has changed every game. Add in new players further forward its no suprise we lack organisation at set plays. Still early days.

Starting Wilson is a bowled decision. Hopefully gives him confidence and kicks on.

Soft penalty. Obvious dive from slight contact. Expected a red and they eventually gave it. The officials were biased towards the bigger team and some of their decisions would make Collum blush. Overall they are a better team, but once we scored we retreated into a shell and stood off them. One or two just never got started. The defence is stronger this year. Strange saying that after losing two goals from cross balls. Going forward is a struggle. To many easy back passes to goalie as those further forward are not offering for ball. Again i am not having this hoof it down the park aimlessly. Giving the ball away cheaply. Front three need to do more. JT is an imposter. He has blistering pace, but it seems he is holding back. Carrying an injury? Or not interested? We missed Priestman today.

ODonnell on bench. Off topic, anyone else experiencing slow site response times?

I seen our starting 11, but never got the chance to watch the game. Very easy to slate youngsters, but it wont do any good for their confidence. The experienced players from midfield can only do so much. Where we are failing is in attack with experienced players not producing what we know they are capable of ie Cookie and JT. We cant rely on Said to score wonder goals every game. The number 9 issue continues to rumble on. The attacking front line needs a total rework. We need creativity, pace and a goalscorer. AJ will hopefully have learnt alot today. No consolation to us fans tho. We can only hope we get more players in and have a real go at the scottish cup.

Obviously they are a good side. But we need to remind ourselves we have beat very good old firm teams in the past, that are financially on par with Frieburg, but with argueable poorer teams than what we have now. Its 11 v 11, show no fear and be brave. We can win this with the luck you usually need to beat top sides.

Surely you cant be suprised that a certain club again gets the benefit of doubt. Identical to Falkirks disallowed goal.
