  1. Twardzik does have a future in Motherwell... Up the Asda on the checkouts. Never a keeper!

Heard we were looking Jake Kirby from Tranmere Rovers. Young midfielder who has played a fair few times this season. Seems to fit the bill of a young player who could grow at the club.

  2. Sure I seen 9/5 available on County with SkyBet over the weekend. Seems pretty generous, however St Johnstone have beaten them 2-1 in the last 3 matches between the two. St Johnstone need to also win.

Fancy us strongly tonight. Having been watching some of the live games against Aberdeen/Accies and the highlights from Killie we look to have improved so much. I really fancy us to go and win this one comfortably tonight. 3-0 'Well.

I'll be watching. With the clocks changing in the UK a week or so ago the kick off time is only 00:15am for me. Mon The 'Well!

  3. The 6 hour round trip to Pittodrie, time off work etc for a game I can watch in my house or a pub is not a very easy sell! Only a real diehard or someone who happens to live or work in Aberdeen are going to that.

That or guys that love a right good Don Revie and make an overnight of it...

  4. The shoutbox could be disabled during matches if that would encourage match thread chat.

Open to suggestions at all times folks

Reckon that would be a decent shout mate. Normally I wouldnt have been on here during matches but in recent months I have found myself drifting onto here during the matches. Would be good for all the chat to be in the thread and not lost in the shoutbox.

Shoutbox serves its purpose though so still a good feature.

  5. £26k for someone in a specialised role. Not sure what the going rate is for that type of job but seems pretty poor to me!

Pitch has been better in recent seasons but aint seen much of it recently out with the highlights of the Killie match where it was poor at best.

  6. My arse is like a rabbits nose ahead of this match. Very cliche but every match is going to be like a cup final. 3 points would be a great step in the right direction and put pressure on St Mirren and County ahead of their matches on Saturday!

Game kicks off at 1:15am here and looking forward to sitting up with a few beers and watching it!

  7. You're far from the only person to say that in the aftermath of this episode (and the earlier Brian McCafferty one). Looks like the podcast has become more than just entertainment for fans and has actively led to a good few folk deciding to sign up for the Society, which is fantastic.

Exactly. The benefit of running a podcast like last night could be the difference in an extra dozen or so people joining up. Shouldnt underestimate the positive impact that it has had.

Hearing about the work going on behind the scenes shows that the club is on a journey of improvement (biggest room in the house and all that...). Hopefully we will be a well run business over the coming years and can be a step ahead of the rest of the teams around us (lets be honest, with the exception of Hearts, most other clubs need to get their house in order).

  8. I have been a massive critic of the society in the past and made it clear from day 1 that I wouldnt be joining. However having been listening to the work that is going on in the background by our new owner and the team I have decided that I will be joining the society. It is a must to keep the club going in the right direction, which is clearly is after listening to the recent MFC Podcast.

Will get onto it in the next couple of weeks.

  9. Cheers mate, that was a personal highlight. He left just enough of a gap after asking the question that I thought he was looking for an answer. Was just about to shout out something like "living room!" like a game of Family Fortunes when he then finished his wee quote!

With Les being as financially well off the answer to him is probably his wine cellar!

Hopefully he comes on again in the future and gives a bit more as we progress on the journey. If anything, it has made me decide to join the WS so if nothing else it means there will be another £300 into the fund!

  10. Cracking show lads. Deserve loads of credit for how it has taken off and how much it is enjoyed.

Was lying in my scratcher this morning listening to it. Have to say my favourite bit was when Les mentioned aout asking "What is the biggest room in the house? Room for improvement". That quote will be heading into a meeting in the next couple of days!

    Again, well played lads!

  11. Can't accept anything but 3 points from this one. We need to keep on the coat tails of County.

Overall I thought we played well against Aberdeen. Individual errors cost us. We need to cut these out.

I would go with Sutton and McDonald up top for this one. Accies has probably the shortest playing squad and with good delivery he will score goals!

  12. Been bugging me who he reminds me of - think it might be a wee bit of Stirling Moss

For some reason anytime I see him I always think of Casandra's father in Only Fools and Horses. No idea why!
