  3. Last night (and Sun)we seemed just to be a yard off the press. Celtic were tying themselves in knots at times passing it along the back 4 and had the front 3 pressed that bit higher/faster we might have got in - perfect example being the McKinstry chance. Also frustrating was the final ball when we got into wide positions. For the last goal, Football 101 is to clear your lines and ask questions later. Rather than avoiding each other that ball should have been away whether they collided or not. Seems harsh, but these are things we can control (as was not tracking the run at the 1st). Usual ref moans as well. Generally decent game, but: For 1st goal Mooy had a head-knock and game should have been stopped. If you see Lammie he is distracted and gesturing to the ref. Maybe a bit straw-clutchy, but definitely remember a similar head-knock call going against us recently. I'd like to see the early doors Kyogo challenge on Lammie again. Not much of it was made at the time, but one of the replays shown it was 2-footed into Lammies shin. Would have expected a card there. Main problem at the moment is our options up front. Is trying Robbie Mahon a shout? Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  4. Totally. For all his faults, Baraclough's ignorance to the sycophancy/deference towards Rangers won us the play-offs. Imagine the vibe coming out of the club had McCall been in charge for that fixture. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

  11. I don't understand the Slattery hate and comparisons to Grimshaw. He is relatively composed on the ball and very good at winning free kicks, which keeps possession and relieves pressure etc. He does try the risky/killer ball a lot and granted the success rate of that can be frustrating at times, but it only takes the odd one to come off and you're in on goal. I far prefer a player who will try that sort of thing. Even if it doesn't come off, it gives the opposition something else to thing about in terms of where to cover/track etc. Its just developing the game awareness to know when/when not to try it. 12. I'd maybe get McKinstry and Penney involved to bed them in, but aside from that, as you say, put a strong team out, get the game won first then think about giving players minutes. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  13. As an aside, ref an absolute shambles as well. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  14. Poor subs sterted it tbh. No need to bring on Morris and Efford. We were relatively comfortable. Have completely lost the midfield Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

  17. Its a symptom of ever-increasing senses of entitlement, driven by Twitter where people think that just because they have an opinion it is in some way pertinent vs actual facts/figures. ...Anyway Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  18. All the best to Hammy. Certainly speaks well and knows the club. ...I think peaople are being slightly harsh here about transfers etc - There seems to be castigation of Burrows/Board not being hands on enough in transfer policy. Its entirely correct that they leave that down to scouts/manager and trust them with it. Manager will live/die by the decisions, as has happened. The board can't be seen to be acting in a Romanov-esque manner and intervening/acting as Scouts and essentially selecting teams. It undermines those employed in such roles and the optics are terrible for prospective Managers etc Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  19. Regarding Lennon, he had success with Celtic, but the odds were largely stacked in his favour. Latterly, he managed to scupper what would have been unrepeatable and Celtic's greatest achievement, although to be fair - Rangers went unbeaten that season. Bolton and Hibs didn't seem to go too well, again though, Bolton seemed to be a shit-show off the field. When he's on it he's a good manager, but a bit of a risk as you don't know what Lennon would turn up. Would also result in an absolute media circus which we'd all get tired of very quickly. 22. There was an interview with Alan Burrows on Sportsound earlier where he pretty much dismissed it as tabloid drivel. When questioned on it he said "Be careful what you believe in the papers" Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

    Alexander.

It's a bit naïve from Kelly to come out and have a go at an already agitated fanbase and label them toxic - Whilst citing that everyone needs to pull together. Wouldn't hear it from a Campbell or a Lasley. ...Maybe its a pointer what has being going wrong though - No personal responsibility being taken from the players/management. They're just unlucky and the fans don't know what they're talking about. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

    Alexander.

Not a good look from Kelly. They didn't lose because of the fans. They had absolutely no energy, fight or sense urgency in their play. That's what angered the fans in the first place! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  25. I was thinking this earlier. He's actually got quite good patter as it turns out as well. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
