  1. Noticed that, fair mobbed and getting busier. Long as they have a torrid, nightmare 90 minutes ahead, then I'm quite happy to see them having a good time!

    Breidablik

I see they won 5-0 at home to Valur last night. Think we did very well to beat them home and away.
  3. Sky constantly running a story about Cardiff hoping to have their transfer embargo listed. Aye, no problems, just give us what we're owed first of all....
  4. Is a bit ridiculous. No coverage of either Breidablik tie, or the away game....but suddenly they are now interested. Just wait and see if we get by this tie and draw someone really good, they''ll be drooling at the prospect of covering it.
  5. Wonder what the team was, and who the trialists were....
  6. Dortmund v Man City is on Sky tonight, might be worth watching just in case we get past Aaelsund and draw them.......
  7. He's only just made his Canadian debut.... Canada
  8. They lost 3-1 to a team further down the league. Don't know if they rested anyone right enough.
  9. Wondering from that pic of the pen, looks like there's one of the Norwegian players encroaching well into the box as the penalty is struck. He's a yard ahead of I think it's Stevie Hammel.
  10. We've never lost to Liverpool.........
  11. He did indeed, on 78 minutes for Doogs. Always remember Welsh getting sent off just before half-time (for the foul which gave Garcin his free-kick goal) and how we laughed as the mop-haird clown went.

    Highlights

Judging by those highlights, we were the better team until we scored then sat back a bit. Still, plenty to be encouraged about for next week.
  13. Was told that the throw-in leading to the pen was a foul throw, didn't see this anyone confirm? Saunders didn't need to tackle but it'd be unfair to to be to hard on him for it.
  14. Aalesunds have a tough away game at Strømsgodset on Sunday. Wonder if we'll just train or do a bounce game?
  15. Someone is fibbing. BBC say we had 7 corners, UEFA have taken 3 away. BBC have fouls as 8 home, 12 away whilst UEFA say 13-21. And goal efforts as 5 on 5 off, 4 on 4 off whilst UEFA give it as 5-2. Only things they agree on are score and cards issued.
  16. Was a funny game that. I recall thinking at 0-2 after just 8 minutes there's no way we are goint to lose to this bunch. We strolled to 3-2, they missed a couple of great opportunities, then flattened them on the break during the last 10. Then McLeish decided to jump ship not long afterwards to go to relegation-bound Hibs. The reception he got when we went to Easter Road soon after was good.....
  17. We've got to get it right sometime.......
  18. Next week's Ref is very, very card-happy indeed. If they tackle then like they did today, they won't finish iwth 11 men on the park.
  19. Total control and possession first-half? 100% of the ball and you couldn't score? I know we may have been a little defensive today, but to string 11 men across the goalline in the first half and still have a couple of efforts on goal wasn't bad........
  20. Aye, what was more amazing was Lee McCulloch scored twice! I remember the one at Easter Road, no-one who was there could get round the fact Hendry actually managed to score once never mind a second......
  21. Nah, Hendry scored two when we lost 4-2 in October 1995.
  22. Doogs last goal was it not? Motherwell 6 (3) - 2 (2) Hibernian Arnott 10 Crawford 4 Weir 23 Laverty 8 Garcin 43 McCulloch 81 Coyne 88 McCulloch 89 on 31-01-1998 Motherwell: Woods, Christie, Ian Ross, Newman, Martin (Philliben, 45 ) , Falconer, Weir, Garcin (McSkimming, 72 ) , Coyne, Arnott (McCulloch, 78 ) , Coyle Hibernian: Reid, Miller, Boco, Jackson ( Dow, 77 ) , Dennis, Welsh(sent off 43), Harper, Larusson ( McCaffrey, 87 ) , Crawford, Lavety, McGinlay Subs not used: Walker, Bookings: Falconer (Motherwell) Dennis , Jackson , Welsh (Hibernian) Attendance: 6169
  23. Hibs are getting pumped 3-0 at the moment (goal from Tavares - apparently it only took a minute.....). Looks like we are still the only Scottish club to win a tie in Europe this season......
  24. BBC says 57-43% possession in favour of Motherwell. I'd say that makes us the team who kept the ball better! Anyway, this is a fantastic result for us tonight, really is.
