  1. The sign for "Welcome to Motherwell" is situated at the railway bridge near the big roundabout at Flemington. That would suggest to me that Motherwell effectively begins at that point does it not?
  2. Finished 4-0 for Motherwell, Smith adding to his already impressive tally. Well done on a great season lads!
  3. Only need Rangers to draw one of their last two and the guys will finish second, miles ahead as top scorers.

    Jim O'Brien

Wouldn't mind that so much. Obviously would prefer he signed a new contract but, if not, then as long as he can't come back to bite our erses then that's fine.

    Rhys Weston

He's away back now..... FORMER Cardiff City defender Rhys Weston is back with Coca-Cola League club Walsall after spending two days on trial with Motherwell. Former Scotland manager Craig Brown, in charge pf Motherwell, is keen on former Welsh international Weston and says: “He can play anywhere in defence. “We have a young squad and Rhys could help lift our levels of experience.” Weston, 29, is out of contract at Walsall this summer and has also attracted interest from Leeds United.
  6. That's what I was thinking. Stewart is a decent player, but there's so much with his discipline he could only ever play where he is. Will probably go South.
  7. Everton's Lukas Jutkiewicz keen to stay at Motherwell By John Barnes Jutkiewicz has scored 10 goals during his loan spell Lukas Jutkiewicz hopes Everton do not demand a fee that would prevent his loan move to Motherwell being turned into a permanent one. "It would be a shame if Everton were to price me out of a move here," said the English striker. "It wouldn't make sense to ask too much because I'm obviously out of contract next year." Motherwell boss Craig Brown, though, believes his best hope of retaining the player would be on loan again. Brown believes other clubs, more able to pay substantial fees, would enter the fray should Jutkiewicz become available for transfer in the summer. Nonetheless, the striker, who has scored 10 goals for the club this season, would be interested in prolonging his stay at Fir Park, particularly should Motherwell qualify for Europe. "It's obviously an incentive, but even without European football I've been really happy here," he added. "So next year I'd love to see myself here. Fingers crossed that can happen. "Unfortunately it's not completely in my hands, having a year left on my contract with Everton. "From a business point of view, they'll look to get a little bit of money out of me this summer, otherwise they risk losing me for nothing next year. "I expect I'll be having a meeting with the manager (David Moyes) at the end of the season to see exactly what his plans are."
  8. Incidentally, they only got 628 for the visit of Albion Rovers on Tuesday night there.
  9. Not that it was seriously in doubt, but..... Dubious goal verdicts Motherwell's second goal in their 2-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League on Saturday has been officially marked down as a John Sutton goal. Sutton challenged for a cross ball with home defender Marius Zaliukas and the SPL Dubious Goals Panel have deemed it as the forward's goal.
  10. Wasn't suggesting anything at all! Just thought it interesting to read their opinions, for me, only Craig and Archie's opinions which matter really.
  11. This bloke Weston aint exactly liked by Walsall fans....... Saddlers Do a wee search on Weston and you'll get comments which don't do him many favours.
  12. Mebbes he's been promised his more normal position and we're just trying to cover.
  13. The thunderstorm after the game was amazing as well! Saw it start with 20 minutes left and wondered if the game would be abandoned. Fair play to the club. Would obviously like them to do something for the season ticket holders as well, hopefully they've something in mind.
  14. Back up to second. If Rangers fail to win at least one of their last two games (both away, to Falkirk and Saint Mirren) and Motherwell win their last game (this Friday, at Creamery Park v Saint Johnstone) then we'll finish second (Dundee United and Saint Mirren would need a massive turnaround in goals to overtake Motherwell), a superb achievement.

    Jim O'Brien

I sincerely hope that Jim is able to live up to the legend that was Joe McLeod. After all, he's achieved something Jim hasn't thus far....scored in a cup-winning run!
  16. Went for Hately - sparked some mass mental celebrations too!
  17. Goal difference could be a major player now. Both us and Hibs are +2 right now, so no, we must go full strength every game.
  18. Craig Brown was right when he said we hadn't been playing poorly. Keep this standard up and we'll easily take fourth.
  19. Ideally, I'd have United finishing 2nd, us in 4th, and Ross County to take the cup. I'd settle for Motherwell finishing 4th right enough.
  20. Nah, must be my shit laptop! Anyway, I absolutely agree with you. FHW is always correct! This is an FHW view on today's officials incidentally. This coming from a supporter of a team who have THE worst crime count in the SPL for three consecutive years, and three massive fines for it too.......
  21. You been drinkin Haggis, only one person in that pic. Still, he's a big enough wanger for the rest so I suppose you are right!
  22. They seemed adamant Jim was booked for "deliberate hand ball" and that the Referee later apologised to Jim and Craig for making such an arse of it all. Love this from Jeffries. Starts off well, then .....
  23. Quite confusing. Not being there didn't help, but there's so many contrasting reports on this though I have to say the radio were adamant it was a booking for Jim due to the Ref making an erse of it.
  24. Jim was booked, but it was a minute later I think. Thought it was for the hand ball but it was for a clash with Black.
