  1. A 3-goal victory on Saturday would put us 3rd having played two more than both Dundee United and Hibs. Their games in hand are Aberdeen (A), Hibs (A) and Hearts (A), Dundee United (H) respectively.
  2. Thought we'd perhaps get four points from these two games, but not in this order. 11 games unbeaten in the league is terrific. Still four short of equalling the 15 in 94/95.
  3. They might well be, but they are also fighting for survival so a point I'd say is a pretty good one.

I am! He's been incredible down there to be honest has De Vries.

Another clean sheet tonight, 14 for the season. A striker with 14 goals in 29 games would be praised constantly by the meejia...... Anyway, could do with Watford nicking a draw against Swansea as De Vries looks like getting another clean sheet tonight as well.
  6. Another one of those you'd have taken a point before the game surely. Keeping this unbeaten run going is vital to our chances of nicking third or fourth. A point is better than none of course.
  7. Some think Reynolds should be punted for nothing. Craig Brown can't speak highly enough of him.

Thing for me there though is that there's huge uncertainty behind the scenes. I'd say there was a high probability Mowbray won't be there next season.
  9. Grass will begin to grow at approximately 5C. Each day this month, thus far, the temp has exceeded this although there has been quite a sharp frost almost every night. Terrific interview.

I said before, a move to either of the Old Firm wouldn't be as No.1. He's too good to warm the bench, and clearly him and his family quite like it here.
  11. Blackburn now linked with a move in the Summer, again £500,000 being quoted.
  12. I suppose if United win today and we can see off FHW next week-end, then that'd put potentially 13 points between us and them (a win on Tuesday also would see to that).
  13. Game at Tannadice is on BBC Alba. Not quite live, but the full 90 all the same. And I've just read the first message. Ooopsssss!
  14. Hmmmmm..... Wembley to relay pitch for 10th time The Wembley surface has come under fire in the past week The Wembley pitch will be replaced for the 10th time in three years, with officials blaming the combined effects of a harsh winter and freak weather. The surface has once again come in for criticism this week after the Carling Cup final on Sunday and England's friendly against Egypt on Wednesday. But Wembley officials insist that has not affected their decision. "This pitch has not fared well during an extremely harsh winter and needs to be replaced," said a Wembley spokesman. The badly cut-up surface was described by James Milner after the Carling Cup final as "one of the worst pitches I've played on all year". And Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes the "heavy" pitch played its part in Michael Owen suffering a season-ending hamstring injury. Owen's United team-mate Wayne Rooney is also an injury doubt after playing two games at Wembley in the space of four days, with his match-winning display off the bench in the Carling Cup final followed by 87 minutes of action in England's 3-1 friendly win over Egypt. But Wembley officials say the weather - with 8cm of rain in the week leading up to the Carling Cup final and a further 4cm the night before the game - ensured a poor surface was unavoidable. "The ground staff did very well to stage the Carling Cup despite conditions in the build-up and employed the use of a canopy to shield the pitch from the rain on Saturday night and Sunday before kick-off," added the spokesman. "They worked round the clock and could not have done more. Conditions were better ahead of the England match but the pitch was still not good enough for our liking. "A decision was made on Wednesday night to replace the pitch and this will take place this weekend ahead of Johnstone's Paint Trophy on 28 March. "This will be the 10th pitch since opening but the stadium caters for football and non-football events so replacing the pitch more than once during the course of a year is a reality of a multi-purpose venue."
  15. Only if he does it part-time and stays on as Motherwell manager!
  16. Today was, I'm sure, only the third time this season we have conceeded more free kicks than the opposition. And at that, it was only 7-6!
  17. Where's that tongue-in-cheek emoticon?......Nah, Falkirk could only get to 41 points before the split so yes, we are.
  18. Actually did think we would concede today, a team which has been finding the net easily like Saint Johnstone have recently would always be dangerous though I imagine the apparent ease they got their goal wouldn't please Craig and Archie. Onwards to Saint Mirren on Tuesday, and to put that League Cup game from earlier in the season firmly to bed.

With the Soccer AM golden gloves thing, despite Ruddy losing a goal today, De Vries has just lost a last minute goal at the City Ground. Edit - Just saw the goal. De Vries made a complete erse of the corner, keeps that up he won't get any more......
  20. FOURTEEN points clear of Aberdeen, sixteen clear of Saint Johnstone. That's top six secured now surely. A wee draw at Tannadice tomorrow would keep FHW at bay.
  21. I didn't want to say anything earlier, but mostly when predicting a win for us we generally don't. Credit where it's due, well done!
  22. This will be one huge, huge win if we can hold out now. Massive.
  23. Just see the game out now. Come on Motherwell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
