  1. Massively worse than Fir park that. And that's a brand new pitch and stadium is it not?
  2. Why shouldn't we be confident of a result going into this? Rangers were dire on Saturday, hardly at their best in the LC Semi either. Boyd and Miller might be back, but just coming back from injury won't be fully fit and wont' fancy our surface right now. This could very much go either way, but there's no way they are going to horse us.
  3. Brilliant, composed defending from Stevie Hammel right at the end to see that ball out. Someone less composed would have scored an oggy.
  4. Took this one yesterday, nice pic I thought......
  5. Watching Dunferlmine game today and, whilst their park is considerably better than ours, there's plenty of bareness about it. Goalmouths are completely devoid of grass and the touchline areas are bald as a coot
  6. May have been Hamilton's best player on the day, but for Reid to say he was the best player on the park suggests he should stop sniffing his own jocks.......
  7. I'd love to hear the club's view on this, would certainly go a long way on this board as so many folk are asking questions.
  8. Or Ibrox a while back when it was 90% sand....
  9. Not a classic, but a classic case of grinding out three vital points. Five shut-outs, cannae argue with that. Had to laugh at Reid's summing up.... Hamilton manager Billy Reid: "There was nothing really in the game. They scored a scrappy goal in front of the goals. "I thought, for 30 minutes, we battered them. We pinned them in, we didn't get the break; they did. "We pinned them back for the last 25 minutes of the game and, once again, they've not got what they deserved but we'll stick together. "We had a strong penalty claim at the end. "I'm really gutted for the players. I don't think we deserved that today, we deserved something out of the game. " I thought Dougie Imrie was the best player on the park. He was fantastic, different class."
  10. The Juke......Hint hint.......... Lukas Jutkiewicz could extend stay at Motherwell after Craig Brown and Archie Knox committed themselves to the club The striker has scored nine goals since moving from Everton in the summer and is delighted that Brown and Knox have signed on until the end of next season. "It is great for the club to have them in for as long as possible" Jutkiewicz said. "It has started so well and the amount of experience they have got, it is going to help the young players we have got in our squad, like myself, to learn as much as they can. I am as happy as I have ever been since coming here so there is no reason why it couldn't get extended even further than this season." Jutkiewicz moved to Goodison Park from Swindon in 2007 but made just one appearance under David Moyes. The Englishman has found his route to first team football blocked by the likes of Louis Saha and Yakubu and is unsure whether his long term-future lies in Liverpool. He said: "It is probably not for me to decide. I just have to play as well as I can here and score as many goals as I can and then it is up to Davie Moyes."
  11. Karl Ready wanted to do well, unfortunately he was absolutely gash. As a QPR fan, I'd already seen plenty of evidence of this and received many warnings from other Hoops fans regarding his utter gashness. Sadly, he definetly lived up to that.
  12. Oooooft! Remember that 0-4 drubbing at Easter Road when he just stood staring as Hibs forwards dallied past him? Came on as a sub for another haddy, Karl Ready, and O'Connor had an absolute field day against him scoring two piss-easy goals past Francois Dubourdeau.
  13. Couldn't see the "magnificent" Herve Bacque amongst those mentioned. Played just the once, or rather took part in a miserable, freezing cold day up at Dens when we lost 1-0 and he played an absolute mare as a sub. Previously at Luton Town and, honestly, AS Monaco..........
  14. On the subject of bizarre mid-week friendlies, here's highlights of the Northallerton Town game....
  15. One day your a Peacock, the next a feather duster..........! Well done Craig and Archie, and the lads. Keep it up!
  16. Somewhere there are a few which exist. Will have to dig them out.......
  17. Sure we played at Peterlee Newtown in November 1996. I was at both, and the latter saw just 8 of us make it down on a very, very cold and snowy day. Joni Lehtonen actually managed to score that day (his only one) and no-one could get Willie Falconer and John Hendry away from the club puggy machine.....
  18. Scott McDonald, you are okay once again...........! Might have been a nominal fee between Middlesbrough and Aberdeen...or enough to bail Willie Miller out of his latest restaurant flop.
  19. Would change one thing which isn't listed - offisde. Either you are or you aren't, none of this second phase nonsense.
  20. Yir Elder and I did this once, at the BOBATH friendly a good few years ago. Thought my camera/sound work was superb and Yir seemed to do a terrific job on the commentary!
  21. Sound man and commentary. Looking for volunteers........-)?
  22. Stay with us, improve even more the next 18 months, get a big-money move down South perhaps. Go to Aberdeen, get bogged down in a constant struggle in their 1983 timewarp, and become another "nearly" player. Makes sense to remain where you are, Jim.
  23. Would definetly have come up had I not been working today. Hope it's a bigger turn out next time and, if not otherwise engaged, will be there. Wonder if we'll be releasing a DVD box set come the end of the season?
