I'm feeling quiet uneasy about this, 8 goals over two legs is pretty damn impressive whatever the opposition.
we put 8 goals past some Albanian mob, as long as we're on our game we should do this.

Exactly my response to being told that. thought it was complete and utter bullshit but thats we were told on more than one occasion. Still to this day don't get how 3-4 people sitting in a stand at Firpark can put pro footballers who are used to playing in the same stadium in front of 3000-4000 people. Don't know if it was said assistant talking shite or the guy who called himself our manager/boss

Probably something to do with playing players without pressure of fans watching. Sounds daft but when I was doing ground staff work an old assistant manager used to complain about a couple of us watching the 1st team train at Firpark saying "it put the players off"

Staying in the Cups whilst qualifying for the group stages would work out well. Come January we could then afford to bring in a couple of bodies to boost our cup run(s) in the second half of the season.

The dreaded sponsors logo probably ruins 9 out of 10 kit releases. Unfortunately they are a necessity to raise income and few clubs can afford to have tops without one. It's only in recent years where we have witnessed a rise in gambling and payday loan sponsorship which usually devalues any design even more. Where possible clubs should try to offer an alternative to the sponsored shirt by having an option to buy a sponsor free retro top. In fairness to Motherwell/Provan they have been good at offering alternatives to the usual sponsored match day shirt.
Makes me wonder, is there an "ideal" sponsor? Something that would make a kit look better with it rather than without?
Sometimes makes it easier to remember a certain kit if its from a time the supplier had been the same for a longer period of time.

I think in terms of your current false renaissance as some sort of credible poster it's incredibly relevant.
I've been pissed off, fed up & gutted with my team on a number of occasions, but would never dream of turning my back & publicly wishing bad fortune on the club.
Some people have questioned why you get a hard time on here, this is precisely the reason why for me.

The abuse I got was unwarranted and over the top, attacking not only me but my family
That is why, as you put it said I was done with Motherwell and wished them misfortune... Then in time realised as time went on that I shouldn't look at a couple of trolls on a web forum and see them as a representation of a club that I have supported from the age of 12. A club that had been there for me at a time when I was recovering from a life changing accident. A club who then later I poured money I probably shouldn't have into through buying merchandise, sponsorships and higher end season tickets and a club that tried to help me through a bad bit of my life. I had done stuff at Motherwell that not many fans of the club have had the chance to do. Maybe I didn't get that at the time, whether that because of my youth or the state of my mental health at the time is for me to know. The fact the some fans decided as soon as I made one mistake that it was time to jump on some bandwagon and abuse me and my family was the reason for wishing misfortune.
Anyway... back to ins and outs
I missed the original post on the goodwillie/boyd chatter but was more talking about it overall than one individual post
I can see a replacement for Anier being some 20-22 year old from abroad who will be sold abroad next season

Is there a reason the club won't disclose the fee? Is it a contractual thing or is it because it might slow down the 'were fucked: buy season tickets' campaign?
The club are usually transparent about how shoddy our finances look, I'd like to know how this affects things.

I found a potential loophole that could get me into Australia if I really want to go. I don't though, they're touchy bastards. Seems they got quite upset when my response to the question "have you any criminal convictions?" was "I didn't realise it was still a requirement"

I noticed Sevco are looking for two video guys to join their media team. It's a bit of a step down from the Motherwell job, however, maybe any unsuccessful candidates might wish to apply.

With any luck Clarky will play today, even for 20 mins and we will get to see if there's glimpses of the player he once was and if he's worth signing. If not then we'll just have to trust the gaffer and find out come the start of the season
