  1. Trumped your first comment! Utter nonsense!

A first division Hibs won't be able to offer big wages!!

a first division Hibs will still be able to offer bigger wages than Motherwell. Never said he would be on big wages only that he would get paid more at hibs than he will at Motherwell

  2. are you a closet hibee,if you really think hutchy would be making a step up by going there your deluded.if hutchy stays in scotland then sadly i think it will be with sevco, though i wouldnt be surprised to see him end up at either birmingham or sheffield utd.

My Hibee mate says I am but that's a different story! In stature Hibs are the bigger club, who will offer more money and better facilities! They are a big city club and can offer something either of the old firm can't. Sign for Hibs you might not be on big bucks but you won't get tarred with a label.. Hutchy proves himself at Hibs it shows clubs down south he's ready to make that jump... something he can't do at a club with the stature of Motherwell. Didn't think you would need to take off the claret and amber goggles to see that!

  3. If Moore is out for the rest of the year and Faddy leaves could we be looking for another striker? Mchugh could well be off and Erwin is unproven so far.

Mark McNulty of Livingstone available for next season?

  4. biggest lot of shite ive ever read on here facepalm.gif

Not really... All points are valid. Bigger club, better wage, better facilities, chance to play in a proper derby match and after promotion at the end of next season probably more chance of being noticed by an even bigger team. All that and he doesn't need to relocate as its just along the M8 or a stop on the train away. Ideal if he wants to make a step up but not bite of more than he can chew. How many players have went down south in the past 10 years and not made it, can name a good few that have from Motherwell alone.

  5. Why would he go to a 1st division (potentially) club when he can play in europe for us

He'll go down south to further his career

    this...

Same reason other players have left us rather than play in Europe. More money, and he's played in Europe before anyway.

and... His girlfriend is from Motherwell and he has said himself he has settled here so Hibs would be ideal for him and slightly closer to Newcastle but close enough to his girlfriends family in Motherwell... Hibs would mean more money, better facilities and so on. Go to them, get a season in the championship (which will be more competitive than the premiership next season) and be back up next season. The reasons for him going to hibs next season (if he did) would justify missing a couple of games in Europe with us on a lower wage. Plus when Hibs come back a stronger team Europe will be on their horizons

  6. My expectations of June/July are as follows..

Players who will sign on again - Hammell, McManus, Lasley and Mcfadden.

Players gone - Hutchison (Either to Celtic, Aberdeen or the English Championship)

Question Marks - Ainsworth (will depend on his circumstaces) Pretty much all tried U20s (Don't know contract details)

    Any others I missed out?

Can see Hutch go to Hibs... Really don't see him at Aberdeen.

Think he's probably on his way to Sheffield United though

  7. If memory serves, the pay-off money he got from Celtic that he spent on the bender was mostly supposed to be for a hip operation. Even if he ever did have that, having been without a club since I doubt he'll ever make it at a decent level now.

    spot on there

  8. As much as Clarky is a nice guy, couldn't justify playing him over Sutton, Anier, McFadden, McHugh, Moore or anyone who could be coming up from the u20's.. would be a signing more for who he is and we don't have the money for that.

Pearson... He would be like signing a better Paul Slane.

  9. Village mentality - with a village idiot, you - away and lie down in a dark room ya muppet.

Another troll hiding behind a keyboard. When all you have to add is an insult you're the one that looks like an idiot.

  10. If he was the all round player he wouldn't be with us.

Ainsworth is capable going forward and chips in with goals, he's disinterested in tracking back.

Humphrey was rapid as, tracked back more but has no final ball and didn't contribute enough goals.

Omar, well .... erm ..... was McCall's mate?

We're Motherwell, we can pay a winger around £3k a week, what do we really expect?

more like £300 a week, motherwell players are on pennies thats why they are going south to league one and league two... thats where the £3-4k a week deals are.

  11. and this is the real reason we don't have a sash top... nothing bigoted or sectarian about it. Too many people who would get the their knickers wet over the suggestion of a sash in our strip. Personally though I disagree with a sash for the same reason I would if the band when right round the top (making a hoop) its dated, really out dated. Think we should look ahead and stop looking back, try something new and different. Seems Motherwell is the team of a town that has a village mentality at times the way some of the support goes on.
