  1. Fulham will be the only friendly we will see. The other 2 games before this will be behind closed doors.

Who will be the other two teams be?

For a cash strapped club if these fixtures are at home surely they should open said doors.

  2. The fact that we seem to have done the rest of our business so early this summer would suggest that we were looking for early clarification in order to help preparation. We may have other targets lined up, I don't know. But it just strikes me as strange given how quickly we moved for Twarzik and Law...

my point is that he could already be away, we've already been told who's signed and no one has came out from the club and said that they have offered them a deal.

  3. Might be wrong, but I think he's just winding up Makaveli, by suggesting that the t'internet may be full of false claims and lies.

"Why would I come on to the Internet and tell lies? " - why indeed lol

    I had to bite didn't I

  4. Henrik Ojamaa just tweeted a picture of him,the two Aniers and someone else. Pretty much confirms he's coming back tbh.

I remember a pic of me and Barry Ferguson being posted on a website and a newspaper... It didn't confirm I was signing with old Rangers. Henrik is on to bigger and better things.. Never know though if both the Aniers are in the picture and one is a free agent Henri could be nipping is bros ear to sign with us.

  5. granpa was saying tonight that Gunning is leaving united... never said where to though.

does he have a team lined up?

if not is he worth a punt? would make a good replacement for hutch

edit... see its already been mentioned hes off to sheffield

  6. Or from internally. I am quite sure the club thought we may see a wee boost in season ticket sales and attendances. But it did not materialise.

Q is would we have kept Kalum Higginbotham if Faddy had not signed. Bit of an ar*e but by far and away Thistle best player towards the end of last season.

I for one was happy to see Faddy back in claret and amber. Wish him well....

I like Faddy, wasn't saying I was against him.. Loved seeing him back in Claret and Amber. Although if they were nameless players I would've kept Higginbotham (who I totally forgot about) over Faddy. Suppose it was a risk at the time worth taking, as if Faddy found half of his old form he would have been some asset to the team. Could see him at Hibs though.. Championship could very sadly be his level next season

  7. So many questions but I'll stick with one,

who did McFadden play for the season before last?

Sunderland then us... my point being when he joined he wasn't needed he was just signed because James McFadden.... had it been any other player no one would have blinked an eyelid.

As I said though, as much as it was nice to see him in claret and amber again. There was no need to sign him... Probably find McCall wouldn't have signed him if there wasn't as much pressure from the fans.

  8. the 3 players you mention are all totally different footballers

McNaughton wont sign for us, he is under contract and a team with more money than we have will be more than happy to take him on if he agrees a deal with Cardiff

Agree with you although, at the time though when McCall brought in Vigurs and Lawson I can't be the only one that thought that he was going to play Vigurs left mid and Lawson centre mid. I know Angol can LB, Hammell had that position covered and with Angol proving he's a more than competent left mid player you would have thought it would have been between Vigurs and Angol for left midfield with Angol being able to cover for Hammell if he became injured or suspended. At that point of time McFadden had been playing as a left mid for his previous teams since he departed Motherwell. So my point still stands...

Last season we had a player that could play Left Midfield, we then brought in Vigurs as McCall thought he was more suitable. Then McFadden became a free agent and a lot of people going oh bring back Faddy etc we brought him in as what was simply a luxury. Not that I'm criticising him coming back... I loved seeing him in Claret and Amber again and was still eager to see if he would find his spark again but it still didn't justify bringing him back when we pretty much covered.

  9. We've just signed Craig Reid as a right back, and have Kerr and Ramsden who can play there too.

Didn't the same thing happened last year when we had Angol, Vigurs who could play left mid and we signed McFadden

  10. With red bull you don't sell it for a few seasons, you sell it forever, they remove your history and claim you're a new entity, effectively. No thanks.

ah.. fuck that then... It was a serious question though as I didn't know how it worked...

Yoshi...Thanks. I know, I knew it wasn't gonna go well for me, admit it went a lot better for me than I thought but I thought I might ask anyway. Have to work at how I word things at times on here.

Couldn't we effectively "hire" out our name for a couple of seasons? How would that work with league regulations etc?

  11. Merging the Premiership and Championship and make the top flight a league of 22 playing each other once at home once away and merge league 1 & 2 with the same structure of 20 teams playing 1 home 1 away and even open it up so you can be promoted or demoted to and from league and non league.

  12. how does it work with the red bull teams? Like Redbull Salzburg, Red Bull New York? Have they done the the same but with the team name instead of their stadium? Would anyone on here be happy if we became Motherwell Red Bulls or something along those lines... Selling the club name for a couple of seasons at a time to a big name brand could be profitable but don't see it going down well.

  13. Couldn't make this game, so wanted to go! My dad a former blue nose took me to his pals who were all celtic fans (were even a paddy and a mick there) which made it even better. Never saw folk react so angrily result, doors were punched etc! Me I loved it.. Was smuggest I've ever been! They had just calmed down and it came on that rangers would lift the title and that set them off all over again... I would say being surrounded by celtic fans that day could have made not going feel a lot better
