It might actually suit us playing them away and sitting in, rather than them hitting us with pace on the counter attack. That said we'll do very well to take anything from the game. I think we can though, if we're not wasteful with possession and stay disciplined and organised. Nil nil says I.

For me I'd keep both if possible. We've had enough squad upheaval this year, consistency of selection could help us achieve European qualification again. Sadly I think we'll only retain Ainsworth as Anier seems highly sought after.

Honourable mentions for goalscorers Anier and Ainsworth who were terrific, but my vote went to captain fantastic, the housewives favourite, Keith Lasley. A real captain's shift today.

Under Stuart McCall we've failed to beat St Mirren at home, so that fact added to everything that's happened more recently points towards a share of the points on Saturday. However, their good run can't go on forever, and we're hopefully due a good spell, so 2–1 to us.

Two fairly uninspiring games and no Well goals up there last season, so we need to amend that first of all. County are nowhere hear the side they were last season, nor are we of course, but we're still a better side than them. Both sides need the points so a draw looks the most likely outcome, however I think we'll nick it by the odd goal.

Probably the best type of game to have after yesterday's debacle. Not that I'm suggesting we're likely to win or even draw, but it's almost certain we'll play with pride and fight all the way. However, that wasn't our failing yesterday. It was our lack of tempo, intensity and attacking verve that cost us our place in the cup. Against Celtic we won't have much of the ball, so it'll be all about work rate and defensive discipline. Even if we give them a game and possibly take something from it the shame from yesterday won't be forgotten. For me it won't gloss over the failings of this current side which are obvious to a blind man. The most likely outcome is a 2-0 defeat in my humble opinion.

I'd be tempted to leave a few guys out for this tie, as we should have more than enough to progress comfortably. On a pristine surface we should have the pace and ability to open them up. Wasn't at the game, went to Murrayfield instead! Delighted with the win and the clean sheet, here's hoping it kicks us off on a wee run.

I felt we actually started fairly positively, a couple of half decent moves and we looked okay. However, after we went behind it got progressively worse, and in the end 4-0 was the least United deserved. We offered no pace, no intensity, no creativity and looked bereft of confidence. We were found out tactically and were overrun in midfield. We need to look beyond the usual 4-4-2 formation, we simply cannot cope against a side whom line up with the extra man in midfield. It was there we lost the game, too often our defence was left exposed by United's runners, and the big lad up front played the lone striker role to perfection. Back to the drawing board. We can't make our lads quicker, but we MUST find a shape and system that suits what we have.

This would be my selection too, although I wonder if Carsy will be fit following his knock on Saturday. A draw would be decent but we are capable of winning.

A win is a win, and after the last two games it was most welcome. Despite a very disjointed overall showing we made more chances today than in the previous two! Ball retention was poor after the break and we looked increasingly nervous as it wore on. However, the character shown and the clean sheet should increase confidence in the squad.

Big Mick was absolutely immense for me. Considering Hutchy had a poor game and we lost both full backs to injury, he held things together superbly. There was also the small matter of the only goal of the game?

Whatever the final score is, we need to see some real fight from the team, not to mention some semblance of lessons being learned from the last two matches in terms of attacking verve and creativity. For me Ainsworth has to start, and I'd be tempted to include Vigurs from the start but in the classic 'number ten' position, releasing him from any defensive duties whilst giving him the freedom to open up Hibs. I think it'd be interesting to see how Moore goes from the start. Any win against Hearts is a good one, and today was no exception. We made it harder than was strictly necessary, but that's just a Motherwell thing! Magnificent strike from Moore to dig us out a wee hole, at that point it looked like it was going to be one of those days. I'll take 2-1 every week!

I expect we'll either hammer them or be in a real struggle for the three points. As others have said they'll be full of enthusiasm but that on its own isn't enough to win Premier League points. If we can dampen that spirit and take our chances it'll be a very good day. If not then we'll gave to go some to even win. Team wise I think we need to restore the Sutton-Anier partnership, although this may mean we're outnumbered in midfield against their likely 4-5-1. With that in mind perhaps a 3-5-2 might work for us on Saturday.
