I said nothing about it being OK to castigate our own players, and the reference to the quality of a side from decades ago serves to highlight the alarming decline in the beautiful game. Lastly, as a lifelong Motherwell fan why on earth would I refuse to celebrate any achievement ? Beit the SPL, the Isle of Man Tourny, the Lanarkshire Cup, or anything else. No matter the quality on offer, finishing ahead of the opposition is the end game for a professional FC surely.

am not sure how you made payment mate, but your bank should have a mechanism to attempt to recover your funds. You must also report this to the Police in order to get a crime number for your Bank. Was thinking the same myself. The owner of a restaurant we ate at on Panarmou, (Athens), on the Tuesday night said that reports had come back from Pana fans intimating how well they had been treated at the 1st Leg. He gave us complimentary beers and said that we would be similarlly honoured in return. Maybe that explains whu we got away with doing this ................

totally agree, it was disgraceful, worst stadium facilities I've seen since visiting East Stirlingshire in early 80's. What he said Add in that all this has been achieved whilst situated well within the catchment area of 2 of the biggest FC's in the World, with one of the smallesst budgets in the League, in front of a regular attendance that would barely fill the South Stand, and my chest bursts with pride.
