  1. Belter ................ and excellent for Team Spirit
  2. Long before your time mate, strange one I know. Think it was a Well fan who travelled from Dundee to watch us everywhere in Div 1 at the beginning of the 80's who came up with that one. He would shout Zimbabwe and we'd all go Ooooh ! OK, accuse me of blowing my own trumpet, but my fav creation - based on a major incident up Jervi after a midweek Motherwell -v Hearts game in 79ish - and to the tune of Boney M's .... Mary's Boy Child ....... was:- Long time ago in Motherwell, the Hearts fans they did pass, and all you could hear at Fir Park, was the sound of breaking glass, so listen all you Jamtart fans, just turn yer bus about, coz you might get into Motherwell but you wont get fukken out ! Can you hear the Well fans sing, The Jamtarts ran away, And we will fight for evermore, to watch the Well play. Now before you all start throwing the PC patter at me, it was a different time back then, most songs were aimed at opposing teams/fans. My fav Well song ever comes from the mid 70's, and was the 1st one I can remember learning by heart, standing down the front of the Shed listening to the big bad mental boys behind me, (the Tiny X, EYN, YMT, Bowry, etc.,), as it was a real anthem back then. KB and I sang it in the pub in Nancy, with very few joining in. Won't do it all, its too long, think the tune was Liverpool Lulla and hopefully some of you may remember ..................., For ever and ever, We'll follow the Well, To highest heaven, To deepest hell........................
  3. Go read Callum Bell's 2nd book, it all in there.
  4. Cup replay in 1998 for me. Swore I'd never go back. Stewards/Cops/Orcs = bunch of :wank:
  5. Excuse me Where do you want me to start ?
  6. Dons fans I know shitin themselves, they fear a humping. How times have changed.
  7. Can completey see where you are coming from, but come next week the Orc Media will have this billed as The Rangers -v- The SPL, and I so want The SPL to be triumphant by a considerable margin..
  8. After watching that pub team last night, the Orcs deserve a medal being screwed out of hard earned by Comical Charlie, to follow that shyte Are their plans to fill Hampden for the away trip to Queen's Park scuppering by the hour then ??
  9. Why don't you go home, Why don't you go ho-ho-home, Yer team's no more now, Why don't you go home !
  10. He was hovering around Dingwall last week, according to Teuchter FM.
  11. My Father took me to all 3 games, then we lost to St Johnstone in the semi. My Hearts Texaco Cup recollection is the semi after the Spurs game talked about above. Jumbo Muir scored in the 1-1 at Swynecastle, then we were 1-0 up in the 2nd leg before Hearts equalised with a very very late goal, and won in extra-time. I seem to remember the Ref's watch had stopped and the Jambo's equaliser would not have happened otherwise. By the light, of the silvery moon .......................... 4-2, 3-nil
  12. Other half gets the train to work, with a crowd of women who gather for a blether/gossip. Seems one of them has a holiday appartment in Spain. She was out there with the family and were in a pub that a lot of Well fans were in on the Levante trip. Her normally Motherwell hating Celtic supporting husband was very complimentary about the Well fans. Plenty of beer consumed and very noisy, but not one hint of bigotry, sectarianism or any nastyness, (not that this would surprise any of us). Best bit tho is ................. their 11yr old son now wants a Motherwell strip for his Birthday
  13. I remember that one, we took 3 buses from Muirhouse, think we arrived there before the pubs opened, and by k/o there were a lot of bevvied Well fans heading over the bridge ............................. you included Jamesy
  14. The Cup game matters more to the Zombies than it does us. If it meant 4pts from 6 in the League games, I'd gladly sacrifice the Diddy Cup result.
  15. Nish has a habit of netting against us.
  16. Spurs were Double Winners then, and the Texaco Cup was taken seriously by the English FA then. Round before we put Stoke out, (Gordon Banks, etc..,,)
  17. "....... brought 22,000 to their feet in thunderous acclaim"
  18. I was up in the POD that night, being still at Knowetop my dad used to lift me over the turnstyle in them days. A very special night, much of it still in the RAM, especially the huge crowd. Looking over at the Shed it just looked like beans, and what a racket was made. Well done Tex
  19. Scored a double against the Tims & a hat-trick against the Team that is No-More, (although there is some suggestion that the 3rd was a McKinnon og), in the space of a week, then the Beggarz stole him.
  20. Oxford Bar ........... that's a rugby pub !!
