I'd be pleasantly surprised if we manage to raise 500k in 2017, but it's a great gesture from Les and another incentive to throw a few more quid to the Society. I have also been a critic of the many of the Society's operations in the past, but believed it was the best way forward for the club if it could get its act together. I think Les' influence has been very positive on that and the recent changes have left me more optimistic about its chances of success.

I think the foundations McGhee (and Craigan and Leitch) in developing the youngsters are going to pay dividends in the next season or two. I have no problem if it's McGhee himself that gets the benefit.

They do say that, but from a purely statistical basis it's not even close to true.
