  1. Wasn't his worst mistake, but probably his most costly.
  2. I've always felt that if we are taking players on loan, keeper is the prime position to fill with a loanee. I think because they are least likely to be sold on for a profit. As always, however, it boils down to how many positions we need to fill, what our budget is, and who's available.
  3. Aye, it's a pity we ran out of time to sign him during the summer window. I know one player doesn't make a team, but as a straight swap for Marv, I think he'd have made a positive difference to our season.
  4. I was wondering that myself. Or if we only receive percentages of transfer fees. Or if our add-ons have expired. I'm sure someone from the club could fill us in.
  5. Reading the owner's interview this morning, they are planning to follow the Bournemouth model rather than some big spending attempt to stay up. Whether that ultimately involves Murphy or not, he has played a fairly large role in their success this season and there have been a few ex-Well loanees who recently played in the top flight that are no better than him. I'm looking at you Jutkiewicz and Grabban (to name two).
  6. With Newcastle only picking up 1 point from their last two games, Brighton looking good to win that league too. EDIT: Confirmed promotion thanks to Huddersfield's draw. Congrats all round.
  7. Oh, he made a mistake at the goal, but so did the midfielders to allow the pass and the defenders to let the striker in and the linesman to not flag for offside. Samson has has dropped some real clangers - I just think it was a bit unfair to pick on him yesterday as, at least from the highlights, it looked like he had a decent game.
  8. Aye, we have had problems all over the pitch this season. Lack of goals up front, lack of creativity and defensive acumen in midfield and leaky defence. Not one of our best.
  9. Remember when Moult scored his peach of a lob against Celtic and everyone on here banged on about the Celtic keeper's poor positioning? Aye, Samson made a mistake, but that was only after poor defending let the boy in for his shot.
  10. From what I've seen his recent form has cost the Hammers quite a few goals. At fault for both yesterday.
  11. He was always likeable. It was just his style of play that wound fans up (when he wasn't playing for our team).
  12. Bottom line is we need to keep winning. Then the other's results are irrelevant.
  13. I think sub was what he meant given his subsequent comments, but I may have misinterpreted. He's certainly quicker with his subs than McGhee or McCall.
  14. Anier never impressed me that much at Fir Park. He was okay, but I think selling him on was one of our best pieces of business in recent times.
  15. Was watching Randolph today. If Samson had lost the 2 goals Randolph lost this place would have been in meltdown. He has put in some great performances for West Ham, but I have seem him lose a number of goals this season due to an inability to bully his way to dealing with cross balls.
  16. I know they have to play away matches too, but still think Accies and Kille get an extra edge with their plastic pitches.
  17. Interesting to hear Robinson was ready to make a tactical sub after 20 mins. Makes a change from waiting until tbe last 10 mins and taking a punt.
  18. Interestingly, since the Premiership was formed, there has never been a draw between us and ICT. We have won 7, they have won 5. No doubt it will be another close affair this time.
  19. Coincidentally, Lesley & Freak was my favourite cop show in the 70s.
  20. The U20s, any time they don't have to accommodate a senior player. That was an easy one.
  21. It's nothing to do with OF paranoia. It was the television companies (and sponsors) that wanted the 4 OF games guaranteed. I don't see how you conflate that with a conspiracy. I didn't make that up - it was stated at the time. Why do you think there was pressure to have Sevco stay in the top flight after they went bust? Why isn't TV money distributed equally among every team in the league? The game in Scotland has been run to suit the OF for as long as I remember. There's nothing conspiratorial about that. It's just a fact. The authorities are scared they leave or breakaway and every time they flex their muscle, they get what they want. That's exactly how the original 10 team SPL came about.
  22. [ ] agreed terms [ ] contract signed [ ] awkward MFC TV interview posted I'm not seeing any boxes checked yet.
