  1. We punch above our weight, but, never rise to the occasion. Ex players always score against us. We never do well against a team with a new manager. Any team on a losing streak always breaks it against us. It's amazing we still exist as a club, never mind get any points. As for our recent 2nd and 3rd league finishes, they were reported by the BBC and obviously fake news.
  2. And they won this one. But apart from that, it was a pretty fair assessment.
  3. You can take the man away from "crap performances against Rangers" but you can't take "crap performances against Rangers" away from the man. (although, TBF, Laing did do OK in the play-off).
  4. It would be if anyone was doing that. A regular poster since 2008 responding to multiple people in multiple threads of interest is hardly stalking, though.
  5. It must be a miserable experience following a team that gives you bad feelings every week.
  6. I'd also leave McHugh in mid. Jules in to replace McManus and Chalmers at left back. I know he's not exactly some fans' favourite, but he's adequate in that slot and I prefer that to putting a right footer in there.
  7. No controversy here - 100% red card for linking to the Daily Mail.
  8. One the reasons it has had so much coverage (outwith the fact it was against Celtic) is the big song and dance we made - not unjustifiably - about the McHugh and Skippy red cards. We were always going to be under more scrutiny after that, waiting for someone to "get away" with one.
  9. I think we're starting to lose the plot here. A newspaper is under no obligation to highlight or analyse every similar incident. They report on what they think is interesting and will attract readers. Articles about Rangers and Celtic attract more readers. No need for us to reach their levels of paranoia. No conspiracies here, just inconsistent refereeing.

    Mcghee Out?

Not only that, but assuming we stay up, there is a significant bump in income expected next season.

    Mcghee Out?

Smells of an Asian Betting Cabal to me. Anyone know who might be able to bring it down?
  12. Aye, I know they had to show it. I was more pointing out that being media friendly didn't help Skippy out this season (or last season) when it came to highlighting his red cards.
  13. So is Skippy. He was even on the programme to discuss his own sending off.
  14. I know he'd gone by the time we lost 8 - 0 at Pittodrie as that was when Ally MacLeod dropped most of the first team. So he must have been in charge of less games than I remember. I do recall a lot of draws under his reign.
  15. It must have been very brief, as we lost our home league opener to Partick Thistle that season! As a young fan, though, it was a character building season. Sacked manager, Ally MacLeod putting the whole team up for sale, an 8 - 0 defeat at Pittodrie and relegation to 3 years in the First Division. And I don't mean that sarcastically. That period of our history was part of my formative years as a fan that shaped my attitude to the game and the club - and some of my happiest times following 'Well. Roger Hynd was a significant part of that.
  16. Would you rather have him playing up top than Moult? Don't you just hate when opposing teams put out 11 players and then they go and start playing? It's like they want to win and make us lose. If only we had some kind of strategy we could adopt with our players and do the same. It's a head scratcher.
  17. Time for the players and gaffer to start earning their keep at the business end of the table. Think we'll have enough to win this one 3 - 1.
  18. His record as Motherwell manager wasn't exactly great to say the least (we were relegated that season winning only 5 games), but he seemed like a nice guy and always a shame to losr a bit of the club's history. He was definitely the maestro of the draw!
  19. Thankfully, though, the fans don't get to pick our team either.
  20. I remember when Dan Twardzik was going to be our goalkeeping saviour.

    Mcghee Out?

We really stink at adapting when we have a couple of key players missing. For all the experience in the side, we seem incapable of changing our tactics and being successful. Part of the blame for that lies with our players, and part lies with McGhee for not recognizing their limitations. We seem to get on much better if we swap like for like with missing players, rather than play our strongest 11 in different positions. The harsh reality is, however, that we are a slightly below average SPFL team playing slightly below average. Our goal has become to just stay up, and I think we will manage that. I'm still somewhat hopeful that the younger players were are blooding at the club and on loan will improve our quality next season.

    Mcghee Out?

If you're taking bets on that, I'll have twenty quid on not going straight down or being in the play-offs.
