  1. Let's be honest - if the muppets inside the ground stopped throwing stuff onto the pitch we wouldn't need any yellow jacket muppets outside.
  2. Because they were quoting a report from Opta soccer - US based website.
  3. Of course it's my opinion. It would be pretty pointless posting someone else's point of view. And I made this comparison as someone who used to regularly watch Bramble at Portman Road (when he was actually a decent player). Now he is a bomb-scare and I'd take Reynolds in the 'Well back four over Bramble every time. What is your counter argument?
  4. He plays in the same team as Titus Bramble and Reynolds is better than him.
  5. And now we have the insanity of a split, ridiculous all seated stadia/undersoil heating criteria, half the OF trying to stave off bankruptcy, Gretna bankrolled into oblivion, miserable European performances and one of the worst International squad in decades.
  6. And 7 < 10. The more teams in the league, the less likely it is that you will play each other, even with 'luck of the draw'.
  7. If that's not a sufficiently good justification for an 18 team SPL, I don't know what is.
  8. I'm looking for 4 points from the next 2 games, but not too worried which game we draw. Now that's sitting on the fence.
  9. That was 2 years ago. Less money in the game this season, and I doubt you would see Rangers offering 750k now. Be nice to see a bidding war start though and Broon sounds like he is doing a good job in talking him up. Pity Levein didn't call him up for the friendly as that would have likely added another hundred grand to the asking price. Just need to price International Appearances as a clause in the transfer.
  10. That's the problem. "Give us a million quid or else......... we'll let you have him for free in 6 months time".
  11. And depending on the replacements he brings in over the summer.
  12. Agreed. 500K, especially in this financial climate, is a decent amount under the circumstances. And let's face it, the coaching he would receive there would likely make him a more technically able footballer.
  13. 1.2 million supposedly, with various add-ons for appearances etc. Whether you agree or not, he was rated more highly than our players by the EPL clubs.
  14. Teams like Hibs also pay their players more than we do; particularly guys like Brown, Caldwell etc. That plays a significant factor in their valuation.

    John Ruddy

Aye. I don't get to say this very often but I heard from an impeccable source that earlier in the year Boyle offered to put his hand in his pocket to the tune of 350,000 to sign him. However, Ruddy wasn't sure he wanted to commit and was still more attracted to a deal down south closer to his family.
  16. Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut Big, big win today.
  17. I'd have taken a draw before kickoff, tbh. Always seemed like a tricky game.
  18. Or just tell us what was allegedly said.
  19. See, if there wasn't any doubt, there wouldn't have been any dissenting opinion. Without a definition of legend, it's a pretty pointless debate anyway.
  20. Doesn't surprise me as the Saints are a pretty decent attacking side. Fortunately their defence isn't as good, so if we keep at them more goals will follow* *or maybe not
  21. If the future of the SPL is sitting on a wee plastic seat in a lego stadium watching a game on a plastic pitch then count me out.
  22. Best record I can remember is when Davie Hay was the manager. We lost the first game of the season away at Killie and then went, I think, 20 games undefeated before finally losing (a derby game at Douglas Park).
  23. I don't mind that the guy was successful with his appeal. Hughes comments annoy me though: Aye, right John. So the fact that the JOB was quick enough to avoid getting his ankle broken makes it a less dangerous challenge. It's no wonder that players struggle with the rules when their managers don't know them either.
  24. You're right, of course. And the old memory is going because I had another name in my head and I can't remember who it was.
  25. It was , but during his first stint with us he appeared to be 'hard but fair'. His decline into 'bit of a thug' seemed to start shortly after he went to Ibrox. Of course, I could be looking back through C&A specs
