  1. I don't think it's that straightforward. We have drawn a number of games this year that we should have won, and a lot of that has been due to take our chances and finish off the opposition. Losing Porter was a big factor in that.
  2. And as I posted earlier, if he matures like most strikers it will be another 5 years before he reaches his prime. So plenty more to come.
  3. Next time I'll be less subtle. WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR QUESTION, DECORATOR? IT'S NOT CLEAR FROM WHAT YOU POSTED. There you go, my subtext-challenged fellow fan.
  4. We're only 1 point behind Hibs now.
  5. Nice tidy display there. Hope nobody bet on the "everybody on 41 points" scenario
  6. I thought they'd all gone home.
  7. If nothing else, it will help secure 7th. That is worth a few quid to the club for next season.
  8. Are the Radio Scotland commentators sitting outside? There seems to be a lot of wind noise on the mics.
  9. At least we have that chance. A wee bit less stressful than looking over our shoulders at Falkirk.
  10. Sounds like a stonker.
  11. I see Klimpl is benched. McGhee is taking the Fair Play spot seriously!
  12. Is all the banter on the Buddies' boards as sharp and insightful as the patter you bring here? You must be a riot at the school disco.
  13. I know you have been on holiday, mate, but I posted the exact same thing about 6 pages ago. Please ban yourself from posting until you have caught up But aye, it would be great, and makes a further mockery of the split.
  14. That he finds your 'banter' piss poor?

I guess the test will be if we sell more shirts due to the campaign. I suspect the sales will come from the quality of the design rather than the marketing strategy, but I'm just an old cynic.

    The man was correct.
  17. If that truly was your best, then you have my sympathies. I had much more respect for the side that won the Cup in '87.
  18. How funny would it be, though, if Aberdeen and Hibs miss out after making the top 6 and we sneak in after losing out on the split? (Quite funny - that's how funny it would be).
  19. I'm guessing you are too young to remember actually seeing Ferguson's St. Mirren side play. Still the dirtiest, most niggling, time wasting team I have had the misfortune to witness in 40 years.
  20. What your missing is Return on Investment i.e. how much does the marketing campaign cost vs. the profit received from the extra sales. I have no idea what the figures would look like, but I imagine (or maybe hope) that the marketing crew investigate these things.
  21. Roger Hynd. Even as a 12 year-old, I could see he was complete mince as a manager.
  22. They wouldn't even be interesting in Compost Corner.
  23. I think the reasons for not liking him are well documented in this thread. He took a team that was capable of finishing second, threw a huge (for Motherwell) wadge of cash at it, and transformed it into a team that barely avoided relegation. And make no mistake, when he joined Birmingham his first task was to avoid relegation. Like I said, he seems to be decent coach, but lacks the ability to build a team. Something that will likely cost Birmingham dear as they try to consolidate in the EPL.
  24. Well he did fail in stopping their relegation too. From what I have seen, he seems to be a decent coach, likes his teams to play football, and is okay at dealing with the media side of things. What he has proved at all of his clubs, however, is that he is pretty useless at spending money to build his own team. He took wee Tommy's team to 2nd in the SPL (with decent coaching) and then destroyed us when brought in his own personnel. He ran down the Hibs squad in a similar fashion. It's also the reason he did a decent shift as the Scotland manager, as it was all about making good use of the resources available rather than having spend money to buy players.
