  1. This festive period has broke me. I cant even afford £20 for this game so im going to miss it. Im gutted as i was looking forward to it, Never mind.

anyway is there a way of watching the game for free considering they only got 2 stands. Is there not a banking there with a view of the pitch?

  2. The thought of a new ground away from everything depresses me. I fear the club will get desperate and build a st mirren type ground. There's a forum called skyscrapercity. you should see the pictures of some of the small grounds that get put up on there. It shows what can be done on a small budget. In fact i will find you a link now.

  3. Motherwell aren't exactly a big attraction for talented world beating managers are they and the club don't exactly have the money to entice a big name .Like someone said before, some of your expectations were way to high. who ever got the job some fans will find something to moan about. If you truly love the club, you will at least give the guy a chance FFS.

Its one of them en it. Where some fans will be almost willing the guy to fail.

Motherwell delay appointing new boss as Neil McDonald stalls over move

    Dec 28 2010 Craig Swan

MOTHERWELL target Neil McDonald has admitted he is ready to step back up into a top role in management.

But a proposed move to Fir Park hung in the balance late last night as the 45-year-old had second thoughts over a switch to the SPL.

McDonald emerged as one of the major candidates for the Motherwell job after being axed as assistant at Blackburn Rovers by new Indian owners Venkys.

The Geordie had worked as Sam Allardyce's right-hand man at both Ewood Park and Bolton Wanderers but insists he is ready to step out of the shadows again and take on a manager's post in his own right.

McDonald has experience in the hot seat having taken charge of Carlisle United and Swedish outfit Ostersunds before returning to join Allardyce in Lancashire.

He has an extensive list of contacts throughout the game in England which makes him a promising choice for the Steelmen and he insists he wants an instant return to the game .

But, after a long day of thinking at his home in England, no agreement had been reached and McDonald is understood to be reconsidering any move to the SPL.

Earlier in the day, he was cagey over the move when he said: "I've been a manager before and I liked it. I also liked being a No.2 so we'll see what it is in store.

"I felt I did well as a manager, a reasonable job anyway, so we'll just see what is around the corner.

"Management is something that would interest me, without a shadow of a doubt.

"However, you'll have to speak to Motherwell vice-chairman Derek Weir about anything else."

The Fir Park club are close to an announcement and could have their new gaffer in place for tomorrow night's trip to face Celtic at Parkhead.

McDonald was in the stand for the home game against Rangers on Boxing Day and when asked if he was interested in taking over from Craig Brown said: "I wouldn't have come to the game otherwise."

He added: "I am not going to deny that I was at the Motherwell-Rangers match. I like going up to watch Scottish games and have been to several of the Fir Park club's games watching Nick Blackman.

"It's not as if I don't go and watch matches."

However, nothing has been signed and sealed and the deliberations are continuing for the Lanarkshire outfit.

Ex-Old Firm stars Stuart McCall, Chris Sutton, Alan Stubbs and John Hartson have all been linked with the position along with former Doncaster Rovers, Darlington and Oldham boss Dave Penney. And Motherwell have other irons in the fire as they seek a successor to

  5. I know a lad who used to be a steward at fir park. He was the extreme loyalest, uvf, rangers type. He loved to do his mrs with a flute while he wanked over pics of the queen. That's maybe an exaggeration but he was rangers daft and had a hatred of everything motherwell.

Anyway he was a steward at fir park. Most of them probably support one of the arse wipes.

  6. Wouldn't it be cheaper for the club to do up fir park than spend ten million on a soulless basic st mirran type stadium at ravenscrag. we all love fir park, surely shes worth saving. A new stadium outside of motherwell will be the end for our club. People cant be bothered going to fir park so whats the chances of them making even more of an effort to go to a soulless lifeless boring ground at the craig. A few million investment into fir park would do wonders in my opinion. Also they should bring motherwell fc back into the community and not just talk about it. At the minute they dont give a fuck about the fans. Yesterday proved that. First things first though we need someone in who knows how to run a football club because them who are doing the job at the moment dont have a bloody clue and will kill this club by alienating the fans and the town even more. The fans of mfc are treated like shit by the club.

  7. me and the mrs left early. couldnt bare watching anymore of that shite. Motherwell are getting torn apart. If rangers were having a good day it would be 6 or 7. When we got the ball they didnt know what to do with it and just wasted the ball everytime. We need someone in charge asap to tidy this mess.

  8. Imagine john hartson hay. Now that's someone who would give 110%

Seriously though, whoever he is we should get behind him 100%

I do believe though that they need to get him in asap. Being so far behind in games and the Christmas period we really do need the players motivated and at there best like.

  9. Also I think we just have to accept we have been living with Siberian temperatures for about a month and still trying to play football games in it. Its never going to work.

Our game with Rangers is a doubt due to the streets around Fir Park being covered in about an inch of ice that will not be moving at all this week.

Most of the roads are fine around fir park. Yea there's some dodgy bits but an inch is a little bit of an exaggeration :dash2:

Anyway a wee bit of grit and scrape they will be ok. That's the thing though en it..... No one at the club will do anything about the roads.

Nothing wrong with pulling over a gritter man and asking him to give the roads around fir park a little bit of special treatment. In fact i will pull one over when out with the dogs tonight. You can only ask cant you. Probably tell me to fuck off mind :O

  10. somethings not right in my opinion. Folk are to scared to speak out these days because they get accused of being paranoid and are made to look stupid.

The other week when we were supposed to play dundee took the piss. Called off in the week but by the time Saturday came the roads were clear but again people wont speak out because they are made to look like fools by folk knowingly or unknowingly protecting the powers that be. Like it or not, the clubs and police are using the weather to there advantage and calling games off far far to easily.
