  1. Kinda puts into perspective the difficulties we have with our 4 better players long term injured. Look at Hearts and how a few injuries have affected them. Not for a minute saying Robbo is the blameless messiah, but that injury list would test any squad, and add McHugh and Hartley suspensions too. Also saw Livi have had 8 clean sheets including Hearts, Celtic, and Rangers, so disappointing as Saturday was we are not alone. Overall our squad is limited and just cannot cope with the absence of all the better players. While Maguire is a great prospect Saturday showed you cannot expect too much too soon. Tough times ahead but I think we have enough to stay up then start again next year, especially with the youngsters more ready to step up Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  2. It is a fact that Robbo sees him as a defensive midfielder which is why he has been largely playing there for Reserves. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  3. We are where we are, you can debate till the cows come home the relative merits of Boyle and Hutchison, and the legal agreement, but thats what it is.....a legal agreement. So how to best support the club and move forward. In my opinion that is to support the Well Society, whats the alternative? Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  4. Ben Heneghan in action for Blackpool tonight (on BBC2) FA cup away to Solihull Moors. Had a dodgy moment early on. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  5. After witnessing the shambles at St Mirren when their booth actually ran out of tickets!! I was glad I had taken the online purchase and delivery option which I have done again this week, and the tickets duly arrived next day, a great service. However the requirement for tickets for a game that will attract 2000 at best is a nonsense. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  6. I think you are right, MS didn't look at ease delivering his piece, poor guy has been gettin pelters as well Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  7. I don't think he is ready yet, but definitely one for the future, fantastic close ball control and great attitude. Would benefit from a loan spell Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  8. I love watching lower league/cup fitba, and if we aren't playing or are at the ugly sisters I try and take in a game, sure the quality isn't great, but there is a refreshing honesty and enthusiasm about it, and at times some great moments. 2 Kelty Hearts goals I saw last season would have graced any ground. Agree BBC FA cup early round coverage excellent Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  9. Talking of Essex I see a certain Stephen Hendrie scored an og playing for Southend Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah my brother in law is an Orient season tkt holder and he shares your opinion. Not long ago they were at the top of League 1. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  11. Craig Clay and Dean Brill in Leyton Orient team who won 2-0 at Wrexham to go top of National League. Crowd of 6400 !!! Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  12. I thought the exact same when I read it, we would get a decent dev fee, but I would rather have him for a couple of seasons, and a bigger transfer fee, still the lad looks as if he is sensible, so hopefully we are reading too much into it. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  13. Not often I find myself (almost) agreeing with you, although I thought he improved in 2nd half and also played sensibly after his early yellow card. I understand he has been injured and so could understand being off the pace a bit early doors. Doesn't mind a tackle tbf, but will struggle to fill McHugh's shoes. 14. Wasn't saying I would rather have their squad (thanks ??), just pointing out he turned it round with a complete squad overhaul. Kept them up from a seemingly impossible position then got promotion. The fact Stubbs came in and made a right royal erse of it by sidelining a lot of that squad and falling out with all and sundry, meant there was more to their downturn than losing Morgan and doesn't deflect from the point that a January window can turn around things even without millions spent. 15. 'but January transfers are never going to fix any team's problems unless you have tens of millions to spend' Jack Ross at St Mirren turned over virtually a full team in a January transfer window when they were rock bottom of championship, and I doubt he spent a huge amount of money, so it can be done, although you could argue they had nowt to lose at the time Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  16. I think we need to take off our Claret and Amber specs somewhat. The only person to blame for the red card is Mbulu. If he hadn't stupidly barged Cowie, then Cowie would not have done his dying swan routine, and the ref would not have had a decision to make. Thoroughly enjoyed the game. County were a big step up on Sligo, and the boys performed admirally, Livingstone's free kick was quite special. I liked the attitude of the team with 10 men, heads did not go down. The future is bright, although at the moment I think only Maguire, Hastie and Livingstone are ready to get their chance. I like Scott, Krones, and Watson and hopefully they and the others will continue to develop. No failures on the day, other than big Christian (who was playing well) for his moment of stupidity. 17. Yeah listened to that, very interesting, guy is completely off the wall, found parts quite sad as well, as you say later on. Agree well worth a listen (but not within earshot of kids!!) Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  18. Picked the right weekend to go away, just back and watched 'highlights" First off, no excuse for a 7 goal collapse, can't defend that and won't try. McHugh's first yellow was an absolute joke, and only given because of the antics of that snivelling little runt Morelos. Even the Sportscene 'experts' disagreed on the penalty, we would have wanted it, but it was not hand to ball, and there is no doubt that was the game right there. The joke first yellow then ensures a red. Should have had a stonewall penalty for Tavernier on Rose, not that it would have made any difference but yet again highlights Thomsons ineptitude. However maybe all that is a valid excuse for getting beat, but it is not a valid excuse for shipping 7, pretty simple goals. I am disappointed though at the vitriol being hurled in McHugh and Robbo's direction. McHugh is a decent player and like all of us has shortcomings, but doesn't deserve the level of abuse being directed his way. Robbo has questions to answer, no doubt about it, but the barely disguised glee in the way some keyboard warriors across social media are creaming themselves with outrage is sad. Make no mistake this is a pivotal moment for our club. Be careful what you wish for, as St Mirren, Dunfermline and Falkirk fans can testify. Turning on those in charge with cringeworthy post match fan demos will be the start of a bigger slide. As a point of perspective St Johnstone got beat at home by the same 6 goal margin after a less than inspiring start to the season. No red cards or dodgy decisions. No panic there, and they win their next 5 without losing a goal. Given our forthcoming programme thats not likely for us, but it shows that it is possible to get back on track quickly. Robbo is under pressure and deservedly so. Recruitment and tactics have been found wanting, and if he can't improve things then yes he will go. The question is how long can he be given to turn it round, and will mob mentality create a distracting circus that further affects the team. Worrying times, cool heads needed, I personally hope the next 2 results are positive, but even if they were I fear now Robbo is only ever going to be 1 poor performance away from the sort of backlash we are now seeing. Given the state of Dundee and St Mirren we will not be cut adrift, so I think he should be given to xmas, and if no improvement then change has to come in time for January window, trouble is some of our 'support' will be wishing just for that. 19. Ah you are back then, now that things are going against us, funny that Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  20. Maybe but winning the 2 play off games were the most important of all of them. It is astonishing that at 1 nil dow n with 82 mins to go posters write the team off. Glad the players mentality is stronger Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  21. Feeling better now ? Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  22. Sadly 6-0 for Hibs at HT. Hope there can be damage limitation in 2nd half, girls don't deserve to finish a great season with a gubbing. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  23. Stop shipping so many goals?? The issue has been more that we don't score more. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  24. And 4 played on Wed night Cadden, Campbell, Turnbull, and Maguire. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  25. I agree the vocal support they have provided over the last few years has been much needed, but recently their antics have taken on a more malevolent feel, and it was more than 'one or two' acting like f###wits last night. If you think that because they make noise at games then thats OK, fair enough, but I can't agree with you. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
