  1. Maguire has been playing defensive midfield (and doing it very well). I understand thats where Robbo sees him long term if he continues to develop. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  2. Some numpty with a dodgy haircut and straggly ginger beard a few rows from the front had spent most of the 2nd half bellowing sh### towards the dug out. Female steward got involved after Robbo's retort, all got calmed down. Don't blame Robbo, guy was a loud incessant clown. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  3. Sportscene pundits agreeing after seeing close up replays it WAS a foul on Carson, but as Robbo himself said, in real time it would have been difficult to see and there was no intent. We were still architects of our own downfall. Some you get, some you don't. Hope Trev OK Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  4. Usually agree with Dave's comments but actually thought our back 3 defensively did well and in no way were bullied, however in terms of moving the ball forward, all were pretty ineffective, perhaps the sheer physicality of the game left nothing in the tank for more offensive play. Carson's injury reduced sub options as I am sure Rose or Hartley who were running on empty near the end would have been replaced. Disappointing day, ironically McHugh our best performer despite his howler. Good mental strength after the double whammy outcome of his mistake. Plenty of effort but everyone just looked out of sorts, and against a team with better players thats a problem. That said we for the most part matched a very hard side to play against and they know they were in a game. Whilst I would love a non old firm team to win the league, I have mixed feelings when it comes to this mob. Better teams than us have been and will be beaten by them this season, disappointing as it was. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  5. Dunno Andy, I have a feeling there will be a decent turn out for this, think also opening the Hunter or Cooper might be a good option Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  6. Great listen, football fans can be fickle, but those questioning Alan's appointment hopefully realise now what a smart move it was. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  7. Very much so as he skippers reserves, has looked good in 2 games have seen recently Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  8. Agreed in particular Maguire in defensive midfield role was outstanding, liked the look of Krones also. Good shift from Grimmy at rwb, Mbulu impressive, no failures, really enjoyed the game. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  9. Bad weekend for refs...and talking of Thomson his sending off of Devlin in Adeen Killie game was ridiculous (as were the actions of Brophy) Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  10. Aye the difference a good 90 mins can make, mind you this place will be back to usual if we don't win at Dens. Like others I was becoming concerned about the apparent non evolvement from hoofball, however Johnson is now getting up to speed and looks a real find, Bigi now realises what he has to do to be a regular starter and it's like having a cracking new player, and we still have Tanner to come back, all of which points us towards a more creative and varied approach. The team spirit and commitment is obviously good, just wish some of our support were a bit more positive and less inclined to sit sharpening their knives for the next setback Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  11. So everyone is believing a story in the Sun now!!! It was the same when we were 'linked' with Callachan of Hearts folks criticising Robbo wgen it was a non story. So quick to have a go Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  12. Agree wholeheartedly re Cadden and Tait, they both look better players playing together on the right and link up so well. As you say the issue is then the left side. Would be great if ATS could step up to the mark. Tait is such a valuable player for us, flys under the radar, great engine, so consistent, versatile, and team player....next captain imo. 13. Great day all round, congratulations Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  14. Excellent news Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  15. on what basis do you think Mbulu is ready to play instead of McHugh? especially as he has been signed for reserves initially. Btw saw him on Tues and looks decent and we may well see him in first team this season, but not just yet. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  16. Strange game in many ways, Shire made a game of it 2nd half until 2 injuries after all subs on reduced them to 9 men. Mbulu strolled through game, looked confortable on the ball, passed well, and showed good anticipation to stop a goal when a long ball caught Ferguson in no mans land. On tonights showing (and it IS only 1 game) I don't think Scott and Livingstone are near the first team, Turnbull, Mbulu, Hastie, Watson and Maguire look to be ahead of them. 17. Aye but flow is doing the twitter.......tbh i think 3 nil flatters us a bit....good goals as they were Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  18. Hastie nets no 3 cut back from jas scott Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  19. 2-0 broque watson, great build up play Turnbull at heart of it Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  20. Superb goal from Turnbull Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  21. In Falkirk for Colts game v east stirling... Maguire, Scott, Hastie, Livingstone, Mbulu, all starting with Turnbull as skipper and Ferguson in goals....be interesting to see how it goes....will post at ht and ft Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

  23. Agreed, given lack of match fitness I thought he did very well, especially first half, never lost a header. Hung out to dry a bit late 2nd half playing wider. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  24. No its called being objective without an agenda. And btw we were shite yesterday. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  25. As ever Andy a superb post and agree with every word. Robbo kept up a far worse team than this one, he gave us great cup runs and safety in the league so a lot of credit in the bank from me. However it is a results business all that will mean nowt if form and results don't improve. The manner of our defeat today took me from mildly concerned to very concerned.
