  1. Right, new manager sorted now alls we need is his no.2. If only we could afford to bring Malpas back, that would be a real dream team.
  2. So what's the script with McNamee? Still training with the 'well? Makes you wonder what makes the biggest impression on a chap - the team mates, the gaffer, the cash, the town, the fans.... I hope he gets offered a contract as he'd give the squad a bit more than Alan Gow does.
  3. .... provided they don't try to pinch any of our players....
  4. Why were they allowed to work without a signing a written contract when Jim Gannon was allegedly sacked when he refused to sign his?

Also, I reckon front / back / close-up photos (poppy, badges, signature) would give potential buyers a better idea of what is on offer rather than a team photo. Bear in mind that not just 'well fans will be interested in these shirts so a digital camera, a photobucket account and two minutes of your time could make a huge difference.

Beat me to it mate! Was just about to say the same thing myself because I couldn't find the shirts without LD's link. Putting them in the football shirts section may also have helped.
  7. Brian McLean going to Falkirk was another sore one. Couldn't understand the thinking behind that move.
  8. Did Motherwell not go on the longest run of successfully converted penalties a few years back? Shaun McSkimming, Stuart Elliott, Richie Foran amongst others. I think that it was our hero Faddy that broke the sequence.
  9. Aye, but how many shops employ two or three people for the one managerial position? There are factors other than money that should be considered eh.
  10. Hately, Forbes and Murphy have all missed vitally important penalties. Could they cope with the pressure of a shootout?

    Stevie Kirk

Glad to hear that he's okay. Makes you wonder what it's all about though eh. Why are fit and healthy young men dying so often these days? The holiday may have been 'illfated' but he obviously got top specialist treatment in america rather than
  12. Great news! Hopefully a few of those Uncle Phil signature shirts will show up.
  13. Please please please call up Reynolds and Hammell, to see both Kenneth AND Crainey in the dark blue at the same time really would be taking the piss. God help us if the other Caldwell gets a game too.

    Sg Sports

I'm unable to go into sg sports, being several thousand miles away, so I was just after an update.
  15. That last effort really isn't too bad. The second one would have looked significantly better with Kellog's Frosties as the sponsor though.

Does anyone know if the xara stuff got sold out or are there still some bargains to be found?
  17. Would anyone be able to post a pic of the 'dortmund' one? I've no memory of that kit despite having the jester shorts.
  18. I concur with The Brazilian: pink doesn't belong in football.
  19. I agree that Butch is now a 'well legend, did a decent job under extremely difficult circumstances. Was sad to see him go, even moreso after a year with MM at the helm. This legend thing (with regard to players) is for kids though, we've all got our own favourites from our own era and those memories will stay with us. I was 15 when we won the cup, that was my time and I watched the game with my Grandfather. Did he have any heroes that day? No, he was still talking about '52.
  20. Kirk and Arnott, top of the list for me. Probably Maxwell, Griffin and Angus as the other three but how about them v a 2nd V of Dykstra, Cusack, O'Neil, Boyd and Nijholt in the 5-a-sides?
  21. This should have been his season to gain experience and really establish himself in the first team. Terrible shame that we won't see him again 'til next year.

That goal up at Hampden.... Did he mean it? Course he did, gifted player. Get well soon.
  23. Why don't the sfa put as much time and energy into improving the pitches, facilities and coaching that are available to the future generations of Scottish footballers? We might even end up with a national team that's worth our support one day.
  24. It would be nice to see a gifted player like skacel at the well but he'd be another risk. He's been on a downward spiral since leaving hearts as has gow since leaving falkirk. Can we afford two players at the top end of the wage structure that may or may not recapture their former form?
