  1. An effective replacement for Harry Paton then.
  2. If Wikipaedia is to be believed, he had a trial with 'Well in 2007 but he was not signed on in time before the transfer window closed.
  3. Dykes won every header and could have scored if he'd been a bit sharper. Overall, a good performance considering he's just back from a lengthy injury. Christie, though, the BBC said he put in a MotM performance - I thought he was very average. Biereth did nothing, apart from try to get Max sent off.
  4. Callan Elliot earned another cap for NZ this evening.
  5. I honestly don't know what pictures Hanley has on his phone but someone needs to steal it before we have to endure another campaign with him in the team
  6. He might turn out to be our best centre-back in years but my issue is that we could lose him for between three and six games against a team that we almost always get beaten by.
  7. I thought that there was contact but Ward should be stronger in situations like that. Definitely seen freekicks given, though.
  8. Look who threw their toys out of the pram. Grow up.
  9. No clue about any alleged injury, just feel that he's a very sellable asset.
  10. Not at all. He's under contract, which is exactly the right time to move him on. He's surely worth a million quid to someone.
  11. It's just polite to spell anyone's name correctly.
  12. Max straight into the starting lineup today. Taken off in injury time.
  13. Biggest problem with Killie's goal was Gordon getting dragged out of position. SODs had to slot into the centre and Daniels was unmarked at the far post. Not SODs' fault and I think he's had a great game so far.
  14. Spooky. He must have a sixth sense for steelmenonline posts.
  15. Yep, most peculiar - from Champion's League to League One in a season. Hope he's got a relegation clause in his contract.
  16. McKinstry has scored for 'them' this evening.
  17. Jack Leitch scored against our reserves this evening.
  18. *yin. Agree about a cameo for McGhee. Much as I'd like to see him start, we don't want to injure him by doing too much too soon.
  19. I'm really hoping that this is all just shite. The boy surely has greater ambitions than Derby County - offence absolutely and fully intended.
  20. None of our players are, that's why they're with our club. Even Lennon Miller wasn't 'top-level' - although we all hope that he will be one day.
  21. Yeah, support can be offered by the club privately in order to avoid such a scenario.
  22. So it's the first MJC derby of the season, a day when his inner Motherwell Jambo Conflict reaches fever pitch. A day when claret becomes maroon. Ordinarily, I'd be happy with bringing a point home from the capital but we need to start winning games, so 0-1.
  23. Not a fan of his, terribly sad news though. Born prematurely and she didn't make it.
  24. Think the team of Steves that we had over a decade ago years ago was the most impressive - Hammell, Saunders, Craigan, Jenkins, Howarth (who?), Jones, Meecham (again, who?) and also including honorary Steve, the 'Goal Machine' Esteban Casagolda.
