  1. And that Thermous bloke or whatever his name was, and the "star of the future" french right back?
  2. Fair enough, I just remember getting awfully frustrated with him getting bullied of the ball, not saying he wasn't built right enough.
  3. For the first half of his spell he had none what so ever, he got better but still wasn't the strongest I have seen. Plus, I just like Higdon.
  4. I was only about 13 when Pearson was with us, but from what I remember he wasn't as good as Lasley has been the last couple of seasons.
  5. Aye fair enough I forgot Partridge was a leftie. The Juke, for all his height never had a great deal of upper body strength. Lasley has been off form just now but his past two season he has been one of our best players. Pearson to me is the same as 70% of the young players that have come through, starts of looking like hes going to be the next big thing then fizzles away into nothing wither they stay with us or move on, example Forbes, Fitzpatrick, Darren Smith, Slane and even Murphy. I'm not saying Murphy isnt a good player, but he has lost a lot of the fire he had when he broke through. I think even if Pearson had stayed he would have dwindled away. Just my opinion.
  6. That team would easy challenge for the title I recon. I would only make a few changes I would take out Corrigan, put Hutch into the middle and Partridge on the right. I would have Higdon at least on the bench, lacking the big strong forward in that line up.Would have Reynolds as the sub defender. And Lasley in for Pearson............ that c*nt can f*ck off.
  7. Just a guess but I think its because a tighter net is easier for a player to get out of if he slides or falls into it, rather than a loose net that is easier to get tangled in Also from watching those highlights its looks to me that those goals are a bit shallower than some, might just be my eyes playing tricks on me.
  8. Sevco please. Home preferably. Think we need another chance to redeem ourselves.
  9. McCall is needin to drop this "jobs for the lads" thing he has got going on, the only really good thing that has came of it is Nicky Law, who he is now playing out of position. We are pissing away wages for folk to warm the bench when we are needing to get someone into the starting 11.
  10. Was going to post a rant but its not even worth the effort. What was the reason for the ref switch? I left at the 3rd so missed it.

Gave it to Daley. Just cos I can.
  13. The club should stick entry for this one at £5 for adults, £2 for students and £1 for kids or something. Mostly everyone that would go to the game were there the first time so have a voucher or are in the process of getting one from the club. Stick PATG at £5 and £1 and try generate some extra arses on seats, a wee bit more money and keep up the reputation we have of having these deals.
  14. My general idea for the lay out of a new stadium would be sill having 4 stands. Increase the capacity of the "east" or what the equivalent will be since its the most popular stand and first to sell out for big games. For the Main stand to actually run the full length of the pitch but perhaps having less rows . The away stand to have just one tier, theres no need for two, and although everyone kicks up about it, when the OF come to town give them two stands. We can't fill them anyway, and if you take the last Celtic game for example, you could have fit the Motherwell fans in the Coop and Pod into one stand anyway. Unless of course we somehow grow our attendance and can sell it out ourselves, then the OF can fuck themselves. If possible I would have the stands along the length of the pitch curved and steeper so view isn't as restricted. And again if financially viable I would have all the stands meet in the corners, 1 to keep out the wind, 2 to help create a better atmosphere and 3 it looks cool as fuck.
  15. I would have to agree with the vote on moving. I love oor wee ground but its had its day. The cost of fixing it up would be too great I would think, to the point where building a new stadium becomes the sensible option. On the other hand, if we move to Ravenscraig we really need to balance the good with the bad. We could put in a car park, but traveling by train becomes all but impossible for a lot of people. We could build in shops/ restaurants/ units for business's to rent out. In fact, with building a new stadium comes the chance to improve our finances with things like I mentioned units for business's to rent out. A gym and training facilities, used by the club, and available to the public after hours at prices to rival the other local facilities. It could also be a good marketing tool, for example "collect your vouchers at each of this months home games and get a months membership to the gym/ an hours use of the 7's pitch/ fill in the black for free. Also as an answer to the train problem the club could run £1 shuttle bus's from the town center to the ground right up till kick off.
  16. I noticed the stewards weren't as game for handing out fist fulls of vouchers this time.
  17. Fair enough its a pain in the arse not not exactly worth calling a game off for.
  18. Don't understand why the game was canceled because of the power? What exactly does it effect? The flood lights were off anyway, its not exactly pitch black outside and I'm sure we could have managed without the pies for a week.
  19. Big Game manager? Tactically wonderful and Fearless? McCall? You sir, are on drugs.
  20. Looks to me like we have been holding out to see what happens to Faddy before signing this guy.
  21. All over twitter saying hes signed for Sunderland.
