I think Slattery need to loose a few pounds. His stamina and passing seems to have gone the wrong way. I’d be looking for more from him. I think Spittal and Cornelius could be interchanged so one gives it 100% then replace with the other as they start to tire. Midfield definitely needs to work harder. They seem to get caught in the middle not up supporting forwards or back helping defense. They need to up the work rate and just sub them as they tire. or to be Grizzzly-esque. Flood the midfield and use our subs!

With respect to Celtic query on Jotas goal. The call on the field was offside. VAR was unable to provide clear and obvious evidence to change the call. The Morris incident I thought would have been red card. So moving along to the throw in, I’d be very interested to hear that explanation. As mentioned the governing and officiating bodies need to have open communication so that clubs and fans alike can understand what’s going on. If a mistake was made then just say that and we can all learn and understand better edit: they need to cut the review time down. If it’s an obvious mistake it should be easy to see. they could also tell the players right there and then, and coaches, why that particular VAR review resulted in the call.

Problem is, having already slowed the other team down by committing a foul, the offending team linger within the 10 yard distance stopping or discouraging the team awarded the free kick from getting any advantage without incurring a risk of loosing possession. Additionally the first sentence literally states that the kick should be retaken if an opponent is closer to the ball than the required distance. They either need to remove one of the sentences or tidy up their wording.

Those 2 statements contradict each other. Unless they mean ( which they don’t state) in the first instance the player takes the free kick “slowly”? Or after the ref blows the whistle? The second statement is bullshit. It might be right and it might be the rules but it’s a bullshit rule. It should be a straightforward rule that none of the offending team can touch the ball within 10 yards of the free kick. Responsibility should be on them to retreat 10 yards and not allow them to gain advantage by intercepting a quick free kick. First statement pretty much says it, if u r within 10 Yards when kick is taken the free kick should be retaken so how can that align with second statement???

Once again if we had some communications from the referee organization it would help. Might not agree with their answer but at least you would have the reasoning behind it.

Yea we probably got away with more than we lost out in. Not sure how they figured Jota was offiside. Morris was a red card. They got the break on the throw in. O’Donnell and the other guy was rightly ignored by the officials. So they got one right out of four.

It’s the stupid stuff that is so frustrating. We had chances. I don’t think it was a bad performance.
