That would apply to all clubs he is considering then since there has been no news about him signing for anyone?

I think Shields can contribute too. He does need to be stronger but I also think we need to play him passes inbehind the defence to run onto.

I also struggled to see the hand ball and thought the guys arm was actually behind the line anyway and so if it did hit his arm the ball was already out of play. But I’ll take it !! Finally getting to see the good side of things evening out over time!

You are already ahead of me on that front but I know there are automated vision inspection systems out there that do wonders with a video image.

Be interesting to see if Killie go for the “ stifling” approach or make an open game of it. Maybe we’ll get a look at McKinstry at some point. Hoping we can put up another 3 points to keep momentum going.

I don’t know the technical design of the VAR system but it’s not super hi tech to draw the lines correctly. I would hope the design would encompass data processing to ensure the lines are drawn correctly. Having said that, they should put a very short time limit on reviewing offside decisions with the lines. Quick look and if it’s not obvious, the officials’ call stands. The time consuming microscopic analysis is what wastes it.

I think (hope) it will eliminate obvious dreadful offside calls and blatant incidents that our officials somehow manage to miss. As for incidents where it’s a judgement call like red or yellow, was it a foul or not for a penalty, I fear those will go the OF way as mentioned but that may just be paranoia on my part. We should have our VAR teams outside of Scotland.

Thought the ref had a very poor game. Since we won it’s not sour grapes

Certainly a good 3 points to get. Didn’t play as well as last week but as mentioned in other posts we done a great job limiting Livi to really no clear cut chances. Thought our midfield didn’t show for the ball as much as last week and so the football on display not as good as last week. Not entirely unexpected. For 11 men against 10 I thought we could have done a better job of seeing the game out making it a bit easier on the nerves. Effords put in some good work when he came on so seems like Hammy is getting more out of him. All in all a good days work.

We seen it out but I thought we didn’t do a very good job at all in that respect. Should have killed it at the end but late slack pass from KVV and Effords then picking out wrong player and chance was gone.

A couple of weeks ago I would have said “ and all against us”. But now I’ll just add “finishing just behind KVV for top goal scorer”.

I guess they are squad players. Things were much simpler back in the day when you had just the team and the reserves. No subs even. I remember big Peter McLoy getting injured against Killie I think. Someone went in goals and big Peter came back on as outfield player with his wrist bandaged up.

I can see the Lamie change but I think that would be only change to starting line up and see how it goes.

There are 2 teams and then the rest. If any of the rest can raise their game, go on a run or grind out points they are more than capable of top six finish. So IMHO every team in the league should be aiming for top 6 and have a realistic chance of achieving it. Us getting 5th spot last year being a prime example.

Suddenly it’s good to be a well fan again! I suppose it’s just the rollercoaster ride we are all used to at our great wee club.

Does that include Scottish cup as well or just for the league? The reason I ask is that bbc site has league table partitioned as 1,2 + 3 + 4,5

What European places are up for grabs at the end of this season? I did try googling but couldn’t find answer.

The most I’ve enjoyed a game for quite some time although a wee bit tainted by me just waiting on us collapsing which never happened. Great display. Well done Motherwell. You can tell we were good when the thread is so subdued. Here’s hoping we see a lot more positive results like this and lots of decent football to enjoy.

Enjoyable good performance and a win. See! Not mutually exclusive. That makes you want to go watch a game. Not sure if we can play that well every week but at least we know what we are aiming for.
