Looks like it is even more important to stay out of the bottom 2 all of the time in case the season gets called again and they go with positions!! Looking at the teams in the league though we should realistically be targeting a top 6 finish.
We did have 3 players in the scotland team that got beat 9-3 by England in 1961 Bert McCann, Pat Quinn and Ian St John. The other Player of note was of course Frank Haffey, the Celtic goalie.
I’d like to think we could match them on wages to keep Campbell with understanding that we would let him go for reasonable fee to someone outside of SPFL.
We have 4 games coming up against similar level teams where we should be aiming to haul in a few points. I’d say if we are in top 6 by end of Oct. it would seem daft to be looking at replacing the manager. If however we are in bottom 3 after these next 4 games then it certainly a valid topic for discussion.
Based on Mugabi’s recent matches. I’m ok with him. Yes, he might turn bad at some point but I don’t think we can drop him in anticipation of him loosing form. Of course, you may think that his performances are not up to scratch.
