  1. I think he just borrowed that from Hollis.........but as you mention, he's there!!
  2. Probably not too many as other players and agents will no doubt also be fannying about
  3. Definately a shock and sad news. What a scary half back line that was Miller McVie McLaren Must have caused some nightmares for some players
  4. Not sure how much of Faddy's wages come form the budget ?
  5. I know we are all keen to find out what the out of contract players are doing but based on lack of comments from the club I am assuming that the deadline for them to inform the club of their decision has not been reached yet. Once that deadline is reached then the club will act accordingly based on the resposne from the players. With resepct to some other comments I would say That I think McFadden is in a unique situation in that if Higdon or Hately go then we need to find replacements. I don't think we are looking at finding a replacement for Faddy. if we have him on the team it's just a bonus so we can probably wait until the last minute and still let him sign up.
  6. Some lies are easier to spot than others
  7. i really don't want Kerr to stay. Have not been impresed by him at all. but if he does stay i hope he proves me wrong!
  8. Add to that I also seen him pull on the goalie jersey during one game and score a hat trick in another. I think the hat trick was against Montrose at Fir Park. The goalie may have been his debut game??
  9. Well it's easier getting it into your own net
  10. Still disagree. if a team is not in a european competiton what difference does it make to them if he is cup tied or not? Championship side like the looks of him............he plays in europe and turns in a few stormers. Why would his value go down? Also if he starts to attract attention from more clubs then his value is more likely to increase
  11. Don't agree that his value goes down as soon as he kicks a ball.
  12. So can he transfer to foreign club any time or stil lonly during transfer windows? I can see us wantint to take a decent and reasonable offer but I would want to keep him for the european games before accepting any offers. Maybe a few sterling european performances might drive up his value and attaract some richer suitors?
  13. Apologies in advance for being so dumb ( and lazy ) what round is our european tie and how many rounds would we need to win to get into the group stages?
  14. Was his nickname "Measels? That would be the team with Pettigrew in it? I think 10 out of the 11 guys were all signed up on S forms and Wilson Humphries was the coach.
  15. Doesn't bother me that he went there. Don't care where good players go when they leave Motherwell as long as it's not to rival teams in our division.
  16. Yes, he wants to talk about how much he would be on playing for Sheffield Utd.
  17. Difficult task for the club. You want some stability but in doing that you may end up having to keep players who turn out to be non performers. Hopefully the Manager/board can keep that to a minimum. AT the moment i would mabe only classify Daly as having fallen into that category. However, even by giving the likes of Law etc 2 year contracts it gives us some continuity but no chance to sell them and make money. So perhaps ( easier said than done ) we need to develop a signing strategy that 1. Provides continuity: Manage contract lengths such that you limit the number that are up at the same time. 2. Enables us to get some decent time out of good players but still enough time left on contract that other teams would have to buy them if they wanted them. Of course, we are completely at the mercy of who has enough cash to buy players but at least if we don't sell them we get to keep them for longer. But, stating the obvious, any contract strategy relies heavily on the ability of the manager and board to "predict" what players will be good for motherwell and able to maintain or improve their performance level. Not the easiest of tasks. The task being made even more difficult by the fact that they have to also align these contracts with projected budgets. I don't envy them the task
  18. I think you play our strongest team. Go out in style....hopefully !
  19. What age was Keith McRae when he played in goal for us? Not making any point just that he sprang to mind and I could not recall what age he was but pretty young I think. I have no clue how good ( or bad ) Stewart is.
  20. What's the position with Higginbottam? Haven't seen too much chat about him. I quite liked the look of him but no idea how the situation is with him at Huddersfield. Is his contract up there? or is there a chance of getting him on loan again next season? wouldn't mind having him on the squad.
  21. It's a long term strategy as well. No easy quick fix but the more kids you get coming to fir park for free the more likely they might continue to come as they get older but as mentioned benefits would be in the long term.
  22. So you like the Kit Kat?
  23. I'm hoping we crush them and score about 5 or 6
