  1. Fair questions so far. I hope the club replies soon and I really really really hope they do not approve of forming an SPL2 and in no way endorsed that communication. The whole spirit of the NO vote is that Rangers should not get any special treatment and that we are willing to bear the consequnces of that stance regardless of what they may be. There should be no vote There should be no reconstruction ( at least not in the rushed manner this is apparently being done at )
  2. I disagree Stoney: They list the statement below as a benefit to scottish football "Keeps all 42 clubs together avoiding a divisive SPL2 split" Meaning if you dont play ball with us then there will be an SPL2 in which rangers will participate. Of course I am not sure if that means ALL SPL clubs would get to vote on who is accepted. if i read correctly this has been sanctioned by all clubs ( still not sure about that ) which would seen to infer that they would allow rangers into the SPL2. My opinion is that they should be starting from Div 3 and I do hope you are right stoney and that I am jumping the gun. We should know soon.
  3. Total CRAP of the highest order. Its the governing body thats resisting change and afraid of it not the teams in the SFL or SPL. The change should be that Rangers get treated the same as any other club would have got treated. Apparently though this is never going to happen and the power that be are shit scared that lossing rangers money wil mean cut backs to their cushy jobs. We are the laughing stock of world football. This shite should have been over and done with months ago. step 1 Rangers go into liquidation step 2 A new club is formed step 3 The new club applies to be able to participate in the SFL. DONE !!! Enjoy your summer! But no, we have to suffer the indignity of being bent over multiple times and shafted from every angle. How the F**k can they contemplate an SPL 2 when they can't even run an SPL 1 properly FFS!!! They ask at what level scottish football might survive..........whatever level attianed at least you could in all honesty say that we are at this level because we done the right thing. Scottish football needs to change but that change has to mean being able to survive without depending or rangers and/or celtic. ..........and I'll take whatever level that is!
  4. not really so much of a witch hunt as it just takes all this carry on to get them treated like any other team should be. And even that has not worked........ there should not be any vote!!!
  5. when are we going to hear something regarding Jennings?
  6. I have no problems with the club statement. The problem is with the media doing the scare mongering.
  7. FFS how many time does this have to be pointed out??? This is not punishment this is merely treating Rangers in the same way that any other club would be treated by making them start at the bottom. They are actually getting preferential treatment because any other club ( outside of celtic ) would not be offered the chance of a vote!!!
  8. The rangers media have a cheek on them. There should not even be a vote. The point is they went bust,. so go start at the bottom and work your way up. it's not revenge, it's not blood lust...................it's just that Rangers should be treated the same as any other team would. Therefore it is reasonable that clubs should already have their mind made up to vote no. it just means rangers get no special treatment no worse or better than any other team should get. Having said that the scottish football authorities still have to deal with the alleged offences and act accordingly. Part of that being to determine if the newco is actually accountable for any offences proven to have been committed by the old rangers
  9. ied I have no doubt that it means the ballot result wil be how we vote on 4th July.................. but should be easily clarified. Can't someone do that tweetery twit thing and ask if the 4th of july vote will be the result of the ballot?
  10. Taking the rest of the statement into consideration it has to mean the result of the ballot is how we vote.
  11. I hope a move like this by the board will be repaid by the fans in ensuring that they give their continued support to the club regardless of................. 1. Whether the vote is a yes or a No 2. Whether Rangers end up in SPL or not 3. whether Rangers get punished or not The board are stepping up to the plate and delivering. We can only control what is within our means to control. I think after such a brave decision by the board, if you are a real fan, you should not turn your back on Motherwell because of something the SFA/SPL did or did not do. The board have put themselves out on a limb by doing the right thing. The very least we can do is give them our full support regardless of what other body's choose to do. DAMN!!!!! I did not realize how much this was bothering me till I read the statement today and now I am going to ahve a big stupid smile on my face all day long!
  12. to be fair to the board. I doubt that they are thinking up bullshit spin but are genuinely worried about the future of the club. Unfortunately I think they are so scared that they are letting the reasons for YES outweigh the reasons for NO. the board need to have some faith and vision and vote NO. That is the best they can do to ensure the future of the club, because the future of the club is the relationship between the fans and the board not what any other club does. By voting NO they will cement that relationship and enusre a loyal dedicated following fo ryears to come.
  13. I would rather go defunct because we voted NO Than see us go defunct because we voted yes.
  14. I think the ( No ) decision has to be made and the consequnces dealt with.
  15. Just as devils advocate.............. lets say Mothwewell vote yes but punishment from SFA sees them end up in Div 3. Will there still be withdrawals from Well society and people not buying season tickets? or do we just care that Rangers start in DIV 3 however that comes about?
  16. i have a bad feeling about all of this. Startng to think that there is a story being concocted and Rangers will be business as usual.
  17. Not forgetting Watson, Donnelly and Heron Maybe we will get a chance to beat them again this coming season!!!
  18. Not sure what all this talk of Div 1 is. New team new start so to me that means Div3. Wouldn't all new teams have to start at Div 3? i think all the fans are asking is that newco get treated like any other team would, with no special deals because of who they are. ....................sorry, were.
  19. I see your point Jim. Regardless of whether it ever gets to a vote or however it pans out the board of Motherwell FC can stand up and be counted by making it known how they stand on the subject. They do not have apportion blame or insinuate guilt merely state that " if any team, regardless of stature or financial influence, are forced into liquidation and reform as a new version of the old club then that new version of the club must star afresh from the bottom and work their way up to the SPL. Any comments on a vote can only be relevant to where a newco rangers should start. A Vote has no connection to the crimes Rangers may or may not have commited. The SFA/SPL are the ones who need to determine if Rangers are guilty of any crimes and punish accordingly. With repect to that, they owe an update on what Rangers punishment is to replace the "illegal" transfer embargo plus they need to determine what punishment to apply ( per FIFA directive ) for going to court. i think there may be a couple of other items in the works still to be determined if Rangers are guilty of as well.
  20. I am in the camp of punish the crime appropriately and live with the consequences whatever they may be. I think that view has been stated in several different fashions. No one can predict the future so any scenarios from the "keep rangers in SPL" to " banish them forever" are all merely opinions. Most people will feel justice has been done as long as Rangers are given the appropriate punishement for anythign they are proved to have done wrong. Whatever happens after that people will be able to deal with however it turns out. What angers people is the thought of Rangers getting off lightly, just because they are rangers.
  21. I think they also learned very quickly from the court ruling and have purposely left available punishmnet wide open and not retricted themselves to "available" options.
  22. Too many pages to read through but I never realised ( til now ) that we have 2 shots at getting to the group stages of one of the euro tournaments. if we win our first tie then we are guranteed group stages of at least europa league. If we don't win that tie then we have another game to get to the group stages of europa. DAMN! thats scary how close we are to a real european adventure. Apolgies for not paying closer attention! Dammit Jenno just sign the damn thing!
  23. considering he scored 2 goals lst saturday in such a short time then perhaps his "lack of interest" ranks along side our famous" downward spiral" this season.
  24. now that would be icing on the cake but don't see Rangers losing to Utd us and St Johnstone. In saying that even beaitng rangers and ending up third would be very enjoyable
