    St Johnstone

I like Reid, he doesnt look out of place at right back or in front of the defence. Vigurs for me though. Also funny how some give it to Ainsworth yet the guys around me were giving him dogs abuse. I thought he was OK, not amazing not terrible, but nowhere near as bad as some were making out.
  6. Weeyin - you miss the point. That being that for the entire duration of the game there were no posts here, yet posts on the Dempster thread. Better luck next time eh?
  7. so let's get this straight, a very important win against a top 6 rival which places us requiring one point for europe and potentially sets up a 2nd place playoff against aberdeen, but folk would rather foam at the mouth on the Dempster thread. Sums up a section of our fans. Thought it was a very professional win today where we werent great, and I thought we might concede late in the 2nd half, but all credit to the team for holding on. St Johnstone were a very dirty team and I cannot believe Wotherspoon didnt get in the book. Vigurs MoM for me, he's a touch of class.
  8. guy in the red looks a bit chunky no?
  9. on my way back after a few pints. A very poor quality game with neither team dominating. Couldnt see the penalty handball but St Mirren supporting mates said it was stonewaller. Poor performance all round with no fluidity and poor movement. I would say a draw was a fair result, it seems st mirren always drag us down to their level...

Hutchinson was absolutely solid, so going for him in a team where no one quite stood above the rest.
  11. I was a bit perplexed at the ICT love in on the radio on the way home, thought they were mediocre to poor at best, and apart from one which was cleared off the line by Hutchinson possibly, I cant think of any time Neilson was really troubled. They probably shaded it in the second half but first half we were by far the better team and deserved to win on balance. The media attention was baffling. Thought a big part of our win today was down to the back 4, Hutchinson and McManus in particular were immense and Hammell's two assists were both fantastic balls! Whole back 4 just didnt give them any change. Also forming the opinion that Reid, whilst not flashy, can cut it at this level. Also, when have we ever had an out and out winger with so many goals? Does Murphy count? If not then I dont know who! One for the stattos...

    Hated Players

In fact probably my most hated player has been Bob Malcolm. Was absolutely gutted when he signed for us. Although again im sure Flow said he was a top guy off the pitch.

On Jim Goodwin - I met him on Saturday night in a city centre hostelry, a very pleasant guy. His off the pitch personality def doesnt match his on the pitch hatchet man impression.

Not quite sure where all the votes for Faddy are coming from?! Didn't think he had a particularly good game. Would agree it was a team effort with no stand-outs but I voted for Lasley.
  15. Anyone mind copying and pasting? I think The Herald are in the dark ages with their 'pay for our online content' approach.
  16. I think that was possibly my first game I went to myself when I was about 14...got the public transport from Strathaven for it. Absolutely fucking woeful game I remember, with quite a big away crowd.
  17. Browni - aye I saw that but why? A bit strange unless it was for charity?!
  18. Sutton - ran himself into the ground
  19. Surely Ross Stewart can sit on the bench?
  20. first ive seen it on sportscene and its a definite red card, shocking tackle. sportscene agree. the penalty was soft but justifiable I think. On another note the ref at st Johnstone v hearts had an absolute nightmare!!
