  1. If Alexander and Lucketti ever give any of them a chance.
  2. I'll renew mine, but that doesn't mean it's a vote of confidence in the bullshi55er who is manager, and, if rumblings I've heard from folk far closer to the inner workings of the club than I'll ever be, has alienated a fair few players by his arrogance. Previous managers haven't been given the leeway, by some on this board, that he has when results and style of football have been poor. I don't expect players or managers to have the same commitment as fans have to the club as it's a job for them. However, I do expect honest and hard graft, not feeble excuses about luck when we lose and no mention of that when luck means we win games we shouldn't. If Alexander bemoans the luck and fine margins since Boxing Day, he should also take account of the luck and fine margins that got us victories in first half of season.
  3. One of the best goalies we've had and we've had more than our fair share. Hope he gets through it.
  4. If it's any consolation, I'll be up at 06h00 to get my son's stuff organised so he can play , and I can watch his match in Linlithgow and we both get back to FP for the match.
  5. dennyc said: " I went to my first Motherwell game in the mid 60's and have suffered some dreadful teams in that time. But this current situation is as poor as I can recall....even thinking back to the Malpas, Kampman and Hynd eras. Watching what is currently on offer is simply not enjoyable and as a ST Holder I am even struggling to convince myself to attend home games. Away games are simply no longer worth the effort or pain." I must be of a similar vintage as my first game was in 1963, a draw against the now defunct Third Lanark. Having witnessed the three eras you describe, I fear that Alexander's anti-football approach will increase the disillusionment amongst the fans and will make it harder to attract players with any capacity for creativity. I acknowledge how tight the SPL table is in the middle, but there's not a lot of evidence that we're going close the fine gaps that Alexander claims are the reason for our poor run. I think I'll get a renewed ST as a gift from my kids, but it's going to be hard watching more of what's on offer and hearing the same post-match press conference. I'm not one for changing managers or judging new signings before they have a decent run of games, but surely even Grezza must see that he's not made best use of the resources at his disposal.
  6. And look at what Watt was on compared to Kelly.
  7. The socks are different. This link takes you to a black and white photo of the team. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.pinimg.com%2F736x%2F6e%2F18%2F9f%2F6e189f8132192f17d42d23d4437a67d7.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pinterest.co.uk%2Fpin%2F132363676534952688%2F&tbnid=Stzdtnu7yNclBM&vet=12ahUKEwjDoai9q9f2AhUGxhoKHUTuA0UQMygAegQIARA9..i&docid=1Afjodx4ZfGPLM&w=735&h=719&q=1965 summer cup final&ved=2ahUKEwjDoai9q9f2AhUGxhoKHUTuA0UQMygAegQIARA9
  8. I heard the same about Slattery and O'Donnell. Don't know if it's true.
  9. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Sorry! I'll bet exiting pics are black and white. The strip mto which I refer is, basically the reverse of current home kit; that is, amber hoop on claret top.
  10. Like the one worn in the Summer Cup Final against Dundee United in 1965?
  11. I wonder what O'Connor has to do to get a game.
  12. Will be a tough one, tomorrow. Donnelly's red card means that midfield will be different, thankfully. Would like to see Shaw in there. If he wants a future career at Celtic, he'll need to approach this game with a 'Well fan's level of distaste for the opposition.
  13. Hi ja_86. I've completed your survey.
  14. I think a move to Fir Park has the potential to benefit Griffiths in the same way that coming to us benefitted Tony Watt.
  15. Your analysis seems all too correct to me.....sadly!
  16. But is it on a par with Van Veen and co?
  17. Would I be right in thinking that TW was one of our players on a lower-paid contract when he signed? If so, and it hasn't changed, then I should imagine that Slattery, Goss, Van Veen, and the two Nordics are on significantly better deals. If that's the case it's understandable that TW would expect a much better offer from us.
  18. Only time I recall competent refereeing in Scotland was the time the Scottish lot went on strike and foreign refs were brought in.
  19. I picked up a stream which, sadly, was Celtic TV. It even beats Rangers TV for tunnel-vision bias.
  20. I've got one that my son has. It's in good condition but has no7 and Alex printed on back.
  21. Dykstra profits from the halo effect of his personality, and generally solid displays, but he wasn't perfect in significant matches.
  22. Yeah. Please share any outcomes and conclusions, if you can.
  23. Done. Hope the data collection goes well and that you share your conclusions with us on this site.
