  1. Haven't had chance to see the highlights, but my judgement on the day at the match was swithering between Hartley and Campbell. Opted for the former. Aberdeen have a huge budget in comparison to ours but, judging by last two games against them, there's no corresponding gulf in ability between us. Thought it hilarious that they celebrated so much over snatching a narrow victory out of a game they set out to draw against us - a "lesser" team.
  2. I, totally, agree with Happy Dosser. I was a very small kid when I saw the but Bert and Charlie Aitken were superb and real gentlemen.
  3. No failures in entire team. Hard to choose from amongst them. Bowman, Rose and Campbell worked so hard, Louis was menacing when he had the goal in sight, Hartley is such a calming influence on defence but I'm going for Hammel. Apart from an early header, he wasn't beaten all night in defence and offered some great balls going forward. Although if you could give it to the whole team and management, I would. This team have 1991 spirit.
  4. If appeals are treated, genuinely, as presenting evidence to demonstrate refereeing errors/incorrect decisions, then there is a clear case for this appeal. Agree with weeyin re his point on theatrics but are the Scottish footballing authorities being genuine about appeals: the two simulated incidents against us would suggest not. This is reinforced by the decision to penalise Schalk for his simulation. More generally, I find it hard to recall an era when Scottish match officials were so arrogant and incompetent. (maybe they're copying Regan and Doncaster).
  5. And sorted out the catering for away fans. I had t wait 28 minutes at half-time to get my kid something to eat.
  6. Let's hope for a halfway competent ref on Thursday. Too many games being decided due to errors by the men in the middle. The guy yesterday almost made Madden seem passable.
  7. My original remark was about my opinion on Lennon. However, I agree, entirely about Goodwillie and Thomson.
  8. You selectively quote from my remarks. I was explaining, in some detail, why I dislike Levein. I have even less time for Goodwillie or Thomson but as earlier posts in this thread will show, the initial discussion emerged over peoples' perceptions and views of Lennon not either of the two reprobates whom you list.
  9. Levein for me! His contemptuous treatment of Faddy sealed it for me plus I had dinner with an ex-Hearts player from the Nordic countries who described what a violent bully Levein was as a manager and I know the mother of an ex-Hearts youngster who suffered from Levein's bullying antics. The fact that the football journalism corp who got him the Scotland job - at which he was a disaster - are now hailing him as the man Hearts need - even though he appointed Cathro - and he basks in that glow is sickening. You could add the fact that he's worse, more churlish and more ungracious in defeat than Wenger and Jeffries into that mix, too. A despicable person.
  10. Watched highlights last night. From the limited view of him that the highlights showed, he seems to have been comfortable using either foot and was keen to be involved. However, as weeyin and middleeastdave imply, it's too early to reach a final judgement.
  11. Yep! No harm in trying. A while back, I worked for a company that had corporate tickets, there and if I recall, correctly, there was a car park right next to ground. I recall this because I was a helluva lot younger and had a convertible and when I rolled up with a fairly tasty girlfriend, young kids assuming I was a new signing and rushed up with their autograph books.I resisted the short-lived temptation to ham it up and pretend I was.
  12. Been through the highs and lows of supporting the 'Well, so it's a bit easier to motivate himself to go at minute:reasons for optimism and hope have been rare in recent years.
  13. Thanks. The person's not registered disabled but just a bit frail at minute.
  14. Any thoughts on best place to park. I'm taking someone with restricted mobility.
  15. Lennon's stuff's never wound me up. I think he's called it reasonably accurately on the inconsistency of Scottish refs, he's been frank about his own mental health issues and as for the stuff that bugs folk, I see it as pure pantomime villain. He can't be that bad if Big Tam Forsyth and Wee Tommy rated him.
  16. I'd settle for a point. Don't agree with Milo's assessment of Lennon. How would you feel if folk felt it was acceptable to send you bullets in the post. I think you're reacting towards Lennon, the way opposition fans did to Lasley.
  17. Campbell by a country mile. Bowman, Kipre and Hartley for honourable mentions and Tait didn't do too badly. In fact, the whole team, especially in second half, worked well for that victory.
  18. Despite some of my closest mates being Jambos, their team and Director of Football are easy to dislike.
  19. I've heard it frequently from Sevco fans when they're doing their victim stance but this is real money that all clubs receive. In addition, good performances in Europe by any Scottish team benefits us all in co-efficient.
  20. O'Halloran's a loanee, so not pushing too big a boat out on that on plus he wanted to go there
  21. I think part of that is because, like many guys who return to Fir Park, O'Halloran is happy at Saints.
  22. Agree with underboyleheating regarding our defence. Like last season, it's still losing too many goals and I think tightening that is a priority if we are to avoid an end of season struggle like last season.
  23. I tend to agree. Cadden would be a bigger loss to us. In addition if we tighten up defence and stop shedding goals, Louis' goals will be less important, even though they wouldn't be any less welcome.
  24. I'm more concerned about him leaving than Louis.
  25. Didn't say it was higher wages than Moult.
