29 is stll young.........lol! I do agree with your point however.

Murphy. Finally gave the performance we all know he is capable of. 2 good goals and unlucky not to get his hat trick. Creditable mention to Henrik and young Zaine.
-
I actually thought Henrik was excellent today. With one glaring exception I thought his use of the ball was much better and if Murph had taken a chance on getting a pass near the end he would have had his hat trick. The boys energy and enthusiasm today was outstanding and bodes well for Thursday night. Thought Murph had his best game in claret and amber for quite some time and some decent performances all over the park. Hutch was a bombscare at times, particularly in the first half but makes up for it with some last ditch tackles. Overall really pleased, good three points and the result could have been much more clear cut. Roll on Thursday!

Ok, slightly re-phrase that, his defensive qualities sometimes let him down. I think he is a great wing back, but his best qualities are his energy going forward. I would play him on the right of midfield if we had an alternative but at the minute we dont. Point being, some of our supporters think he should be Cafu or Roberto Carlos or something. They need to take a chill pill and appreciate what he does bring to the team.

Surprised but pleased to see most folk on here taking a mostly balanced and understanding view of the game today, because some of the pish I heard being spouted from the Cooper was incredible at times. Today was always going to be a tough one after Wednesday, so a point is decent, especially in the circumstances against a Saints side that have freshened up significantly in the close season. The abuse Hately gets at times is ridiculous. We all know he is not the best full back in the world but he never chucks it, regardless of how he is playing. If Daly, Ojamma and Murphy showed a fraction of his commitment and enthusiasm, we may have scored more than 1 goal in the last 6. Time after time today he burst a gut to run 60 yards and give the midfield the overlap, never to get the ball and mostly managed to get himself back in position. Some folk need to have a reality check about who we are and what we have a right to expect from our players. Hately does the best he can with his ability. I thought we looked more balanced when McHugh came on, he looks like the best option for getting someone close to Higdon and picked up a few of his knock ons. Took his goal well and should start next week. Hard to see how to balance the rest of it up for the best but a couple of new faces would certainly help. I think we have shown enough in the 2 champions league games to give us encouragement for the season ahead, we just need to be more positive and less critical as a support to get the best out of the team. 'We are all Stuart McCall'

Voted for Law because I felt he stuck at it and when he got forward he kept delivering the ball into good areas. Wouldnt disagree with Hutch though. Shame he wont be with us when he reaches his peak. Boy is a born winner.

alive and well. 5 stitches in a head wound but walked off our flight to heathrow safe sound. his daughter seemed pretty unperturbed as well so all good!
-
I didnt think it was too bad. Due to the height we were up it was pretty reasonable. I think if you were in the lower tier it would be rubbish though.

His abilities as a player are not in question. It just makes his antics in both games all the more gauling as there was no need for him to do either. He also escaped a yellow card for leaving the field of play and making inflammatory guestures to opposition fans. Im not precious about these things as we as football fans dish plenty out, however there is no denying he is a 'bawbag'.

Felt very proud to be a Well fan on Wednesday night. The 500 or so Dossers fae the Shire that made the trip were a credit to club and country. The noise generated by such a small group was fantastic and Im sure greatly appreciated by the players. Big shout out to the East Stand boys once again. The time money and energy they invest in supporting the team is incredible and their enthusiasm so infectious. LOVED the "we are all Stuart McCall" song which will surely be a standard as long as he remains in charge, although song of the trip has to go to "Joe Wark knew Mo Farah, Mo Farah knew Joe Wark" at Syntagma Square. Athens itself was fine but predominantly a working city so not sure I would rush back. Only negatives were the flapping by the local police over flags on trees and our safety neither of which was necessary and the transport fiasco. All minor irritations however because we are now and always will be Motherwell Champions League! Milan anyone?

Sissoko is greek for arsehole, no?

In the Tin Goose, Terminal 1 @ Heathrow with 3 hours to kill before the flight. Where are all the Steelmen?
-
Think it was because we werent using the wings of the POD and it would have looked great laid over the empty seats.
-
This may be my one and only chance of seeing Motherwell playing away in the Champions League. I would be distraught and very angry if we didnt at least try and win the game and see what happens in the tie. It would be a total slap in the face to all the fans travelling if any other attitude was adopted. However, I think Stuart McCall is a winner. Cant believe he will have given up on this tie yet. Cmon the Steelmen. Remember the spirit of Wembley '99!

Keith Lasley. Fantastic Captains performance. Ball retention and energy was fabulous. Just kept driving the team on in search of that elusive goal.

Couldnt get it to work on my moby mate. But sorted it on the PC. Belter!

How do I get a copy of this for my Facebook profile?
-
Fantastic! Worth buying just for the cover!

Whats the general consensus on this? Given what the trip is costing anyway, I would probably prefer to pay the extra and get a better view of game (probably touchline instead of behind goal) but the most important thing is to have as many of us together as possible to maximise the noise for our boys. Splitting our support would be detrimental to the experience and our chances IMO. Thoughts?

Lol! Okay. I knew they used the Olympic Stadium for big European games, just wasnt sure that they used it on a full time basis or whether they would have taken us to their own stadium, however, I see from Wikipedia that it is no longer suitable for UEFA games and is due for demolition. Shame, would have been a better atmosphere there. Mind you, that might not have been in our favour!

Two of us going out Tuesday morning on the 0630 from Edinburgh - Heathrow, then on the 1150 to Athens. Hope to see a few of you in the bar at Heathrow for 'breakfast'. Staying at the Airotel Alexandros. Anyone know what the club are doing about tickets and if we are all guaranteed one?

All of the above........ I also love our colours. They are bright, unique in Scotland and even further afield you can see folk screwing up their face trying to work our who you are. I love the fact we were the only club to break the OF dominance in the early part of the 20th C to win our only league title. I love the fact that we took the passing game and shared it around the world in places like South Africa and Brazil. I love the fact that we were the first non city club to win all Scottish Footballs major honours. I love the fact that despite all the good players that have left Fir Park over the years we continue to discover exciting new talent and give it a stage. But most of all I love the fact that Motherwell fans will dig deep and ensure our club survives in these uncertain times for the sake of fairness, sporting integrity and the general good of scottish football. Champions League......yer havin a laugh!

Ive now gone past the point of no return on this one. I was of the opinion that the only way for this to be resolved was for Rangers to apply to the third division. However, the last few days have made it clear that no matter what, they will climb back with their sense of self entitlement to rule the roost over us and blight our lives. I now think total expulsion is the only way to go. This article reflects my feelings more eloquently www.henryclarson.wordpress.com/2012/06/30/when-theres-no-room-left-in-hell sorry guys, cant get the link to come up clicky on ma phone! -
Straight Question(S) To The Board Of Mfc Re. Sfl Proposal

If this is true, the club should be demanding the resignation of Neil Doncaster or whoever was resposnsible for the publishing of that document with immediate effect.
