  1. I went £4m but fill yer boots! Im in!
  2. Every club that was offered the option voted against. Telling......
  3. I wouldnt have him back now either. Celtic chose to recall him. They have now chosen to cup tie him. They will undoubtedly come back and offer him as a makeweight in any deal for Maswanhise. Id be telling them no thanks. Just show us your cash ( lets start at £4m). If they still want to loan him back to us at that point and we still need cover, then Id maybe think about it. But lets do it on our terms, not theirs.
  4. Both incidents involved the defender dangling a leg and the attacking player going over it. So we are comparing like with like......
  5. I think his rationale is the problem. He is saying in his comments you are not allowed to go down easily regardless of the actions of the defending player. (Fernandez clearly hangs his leg). His boss just went on camera and said that going down easily doesnt matter. The contact justifies the penalty decision. Both cant be correct.
  6. Didnt we used to own it when it was The Fir Park Club? There must have been financial reasons for getting rid of it? Although, given some of the things that have happened in the past, thats not to say the Club/Well Society wouldnt be interested in taking it back on, maybe as a Community Hub?
  7. Ordinarily I would agree. I hate to see players going down too easily with insufficient contact to cause it, and Id love to see it removed from the game. That said, its not the world we live in and the authorities dont seem to want to change it, so what are we to do? The Gassama incident at Aberdeen is actually worse. Minimal contact didnt seem to be an issue there and Collum was of the opinion it met the standard and was a clear penalty. Its the inconsistency that boils folks piss. And it always appears to be inconsistent in favour of the big clubs.
  8. I love Maswanhise. He has really added to his game and his goals would be difficult to replace. But if a £4m plus bid comes in for him them he will be away. Hopefully we can keep this squad in tact to the end of the season though, as I think we have a real shot at the Scottish Cup this season. Especially after yesterdays results.
  9. Thought SODs had a very good first half. Just and Fadinger had good games when they came on. Went for Oscar for his overall performance, although he did spoil it a little with a couple of slack balls at the end. Special mention for Said noising the shit out if Big Iacovitti! He is some boy!
  10. Thought that was a pretty comfortable performance today. Totally controlled the game. Created some good chances and apart from the double save in the first half (which was offside anyway) and the one at the end, we limited them to pretty much nothing. Given the squad rotation we should ve absolutely delighted with that. Of course we looked better after Just, Fadinger and Longelo came on, but I think it would churlish not to appreciate just how far we have come in such a short space of time. This time last year Kettlewell was still our manager and we were getting pumped 3-0 off the very same Ross County. Right now we havent lost a goal at Fir Park since October and we have only lost 3 in total since the Cup Semi Final. Enjoy. Stiffer tests are around the corner.
  11. Holy shit! Seriious Stuart McCall vibes about that lineout! Hopefully Big Jens has called it right! 😍😍😍
  12. Same thing will happen. No action. But at least we would be doing without the unecessary delays and spoiling of goal celebrations!
  13. Given all his talk about developing a winning mentality in the squad, I dont see any way Jens doesnt go with the strongest team available. If he does he sends out totally the wrong signals and lets the players know he isnt actually serious. Not gonna happen.
  14. I had hoped this would be the situation also. Then I found out he was contracted until 2027. Dont imagine he will be keen to throw away £10k a week, no matter how much he is enjoying himself. Unless Celtic are happy to get him off the wage bill and we can give him the nominal transfer fee? I suppose there are always ways to get deals done if both parties want it.
  15. The technology is definitely letting us (and the officials) down. But I guess thats what happens when you pay for "VAR LITE". But I agree with you. The inconsistency in decision making is the really frustrating thing. Not just from game to game with different officials. But also different games referred by the same official. (Yes Mr Dickinson we are looking at you!)
  16. If the big Viking signs, Im happy to agree now! (Unless of course he doesnt actually run around smashing anyone and also cant score goals) 😍😍😍
  17. No stills? Funny that! When you see the Gassama one before it, it really brings into question how "honest" some of these mistakes are. Never bought into conspiracies before as both uglies benefit from decisions but Fadingers is a pen all day long in the modern game.
  18. I dont recall all these chances Stama has missed? Yes he has missed key chances, ones that would have won us more games. He has also missed a couple of straightforward ones. But tonnes? I dont think the evidence is there for that. Its clear though Jens has made his assessment and he feels he needs someone different. So best cut our losses and try get our money back.
  19. Given Hendry is injured, I think you are correct. I know we have danced this dance before, but Stama was injured for the majority of his first 12 months, so although your logic in respect of contracts is sound, I dont believe in football terms there has been a lot of difference.
  20. The frustrating thing for Stama is he was bought by a manager to play a particular style and that manager then played him up top by himself rendering him impotent. He now has a manager who plays a possession based low risk game, again rendering him impotent. He would actually be a perfect fit for St Mirren alongside one of their giants. The amount of thru balls and crosses a Robbo team puts in the box would have his numbers looking pretty good. Regardless. Its clear Jens isnt for changing (neither should he) and a striker that fits our current style will be incoming.
  21. I guess with it not being on the season ticket and against lower league opposition, its not a huge draw. However, we havent been at home for a couple weeks, so hopefully a few last minute walk ups..... The Scottish Cup was always traditionally well attended. Like you say, with the pricing, you would hope for a decent turn out.
  22. Do we even have a song for Jens yet? Repeating it from first minute to last would send Kettlewell the message without uttering his name. Make it so.....
  23. And has delivered bugger all.....
  24. Aye! Of course! Fixed it! 😆😆😆
  25. Whilst Im happy to accept that Stama hasnt worked out and is probably on his way out the door, I think, of the two, Hendry is the more disappointing signing. He has plenty of physical attributes, but his body language at times betrays him. Possibly because his body just isnt right and he has been struggling, but nonetheless, he hasnt brought any more to the party than Stama. Hopefully he can get himself right and contribute more, but at the moment, I dont see him as more than a back up......
