  1. That is weird. 7937 capacity. 6935 seats. Where are fans standing when the seats are all full? Do they have a safe standing area? Im curious now! 😆😆😆
  2. I agree. Clear light / distance whatever you want to call it. No more of this "bawhair" stuff.
  3. I had a look and official capacity is 7600 but only 6950 seats. Not sure how that works unless they were allowed standing supporters in the lower leagues? I think they have 6k season ticket holders so not a lot of space for away fans. No worse than Hibs or Hearts do though.
  4. Thats fair enough from their perspective. But they have less than 7k seats. Not sure if they could have thrown up a temporary stand down the far side for this season, but they are certainly missing out on some significant revenue given the size of this seasons away attendances. Cant make this one as I have a family event, but I agree it will be a tough game. Be nice to keep our 100% league record on plastic this season, but Id be happy with another point on the road at a difficult venue to keep the gap between the 2 clubs.
  5. Dont know if it was mentioned further back. But absolutely fabulous attendence today. Well done to the 4600 Hearts fans in attendance. But to have over 6300 Motherwell fans there today is pleasing to see. More power to Jens elbow!
  6. Thought Just had a really good game and had he finished that chance he would have been my pick. However, Stephen Welsh was absolutely outstanding. Both defensively and bringing it out from the back. We really need to try and get him on a PCA in January.
  7. Thoroughly enjoyed that today. Dominated the first half without really creating a lot. Havent seen the disallowed goal again yet, so cant comment if it was fair enough or not. However, Ward was barely troubled. Second half McInnes changed it up and got their press working more effectively and stopped us playing. Still rarely troubled us, but we were getting worryingly deep before Jens made his changes and we wrestled back control. Finished the game strongly and created 3 really good chances. Just really should score and their keeper makes 2 excellent saves from Slattery and Fadinger. Could have won it. Really good performance. We need to maintain these levels going into the next run of games and more points should come.
  8. Away tie against some weird and wonderful opposition we havent played before. Or any home tie against anyone else.
  9. Im getting Motherwell as the away team in every result and there are some games missing / out of order....
  10. Thats the benchmark then. Need to beat that!
  11. Aye. Says I dont appear to be a member yet. And the results section is all a bit weird. Obviously a few early teething problems.....
  12. Dont think there is any chance of that. The team on Tuesday was picked for the specific purpose of targetting Hibs weaknesses and rotating some players to manage their load given our upcoming schedule. Hearts will pose us a different range of problems and those rested on Tuesday will be good to go again. No idea what team JBA will put out, but I expect there will beat least 2 changes. Be interesting to see if Stama is back in the squad. No mention of whether he was injured, ill or had family issues. Good to see SOD is fit again. He is having a good season.
  13. I think we will be comfortably over 10k. We had over 5k last night on a freezing cold midweek night with the game live on MFCtv and sandwiched between 2 other big games. Hitting 6k should be achievable. Add Hearts 4.6k and we should be looking at out biggest attendance in years.
  14. Really looking forward to this. Squad rotation last night should ensure a really strong starting 11 and our bench players have just demonstrated they are up to the task should they be required. Will we survive the "big expectant crowd" jinx? (again) And would a win get us back in the title race? 😍😍😍
  15. Must admit I did raise an eyebrow last night when I saw the team selection. But I neednt have worried. One of the most complete performances Ive ever seen from a Motherwell side. The players all now look so comfortable with what they are doing that there is a calmness about their play, and thats being transmitted to the stands. We are passing in areas that would have had us tearing our hair out at the start if the season, and its now just "normal" for us. Thats some transformation by the manager and players in such a short space of time. My only complaint about last night is we didnt put St Mirren to the sword and score 2 or 3 more and get 3rd spot outright. But thats just me being nitpicky. Although it looked like we were trying to score the perfect goal, second half, and turned down loads of opportunities to throw it in the box, it did mean we starved Hibs of any opportunity to catch us on the counter, probably something the manager has driven home after some of our early season collapses. Loved listening ro the manager talk about his change of tactics and thought processes last night, although, I might not have namechecked big Hanley! It doss show a higher level of tactical thinking than maybe we have been used to. Slightly concerned with no Stama on the bench last night. I hope it was just a matter of giving him the night off with a view to Hearts on Saturday. Another injury would be a bit annoying. Overall, very satisfying. Having rotated so heavily last night we should have plenty fresh legs for an entirely different challenge on Saturday. Life is good!
  16. Just and Maswanhise were great first half. Totally loved Saids mad scissor kick thing! Several others had very good performances. Overall 90 performance though I went for Priestman
  17. Id suggest when you are in the first team and playing regularly you still need to do exactly what you are asked by the manager and coaches, or you will be straight back on the bench. Lets just agree if Lennon Miller focuses on his club and is playing first team football by May, he is going to the world cup.
  18. He did. But he generally gives it away in the opposition half after he has dragged us up the park. If we can coach the final ball into his game he could be some player. He is 23 though, so not sure how much more development is in there when really its decisikn making that is the problem.
  19. Its mental that we sell a generational talent for £4.5m and end up with a better midfield than we had before. I would have loved to have seen how Miller might have thrived in this team, but alas, thats not the way the world works. I expect Slattery may well be the next one to be sold and there will undoubtedly be suitors for Watt and Fadinger. Just need to enjoy them while we can (no pun intended).
  20. Thought we controlled the game in the first half and had majority possession, albeit Kilmarnock still created some decent chances. Thankfully we were able to defend them properly for a change, and took our chances when they came along. Second half, Killie pressed us really hard and we lost control of the ball. The game became far more end to end and it was really disaapointing to lose the goal from a really encouraging position for us. The goal gave Killie a lot of encouragement and we were a bit fortunate to survive with one off the line and one off the bar. The penalty settled things a little and although we werent fully comfortable I think overall we deserved to win the game. Good 3 points. We have played much better and lost/drawn this season.
  21. Big test against one of the form teams in the league. It would be a statement result if we could beat them and re-inforce the feeling that our league position should be better than it is (albeit still more than adequate). Might need to refresh a little given we are playing Sat/Tues/Sat so would expect to maybe see Stama, Just and RCC from the start. Maybe SOD featuring at some point. Thankfully the squad is in a decent place right now and some rotation is possible without necessarily weakening us.
  22. Fadinger for me. Works so hard for the team and the second half he really came to the fore to ensure we didnt conceed further and held onto our lead.
