Confidence is high with the players and amongst the support. Cant see Jens letting us drop our standards and dial one in. But its still a tough place to go and Hibs are ticking over just fine and right on our tails. Be nice to collect another 3 points, widen the gap and stay on the tails of the ugly sisters, but a point would still be a very acceptable result.

Aye but this time it will be funnier, cause they know its gonna happen! Best leave him out for his own Health & Wellbeing! ๐๐๐

Really enjoyed that today. Mostly because we won in spite if everything that was going on. The diving, the grabbing, the holding, the time wasting, the referee doing absolutely nothing about it and then having a go at our players when they started to take matters into their own hands. Not crying about it, as I actually quite enjoyed it when Robbo was employing it with us, but it is still nice to see that "passing without a purpose" can comfortably beat Thunderdome! We still played our football, but we refused to be bullied. This team has fight and spirit in abundance as well as ability. Great to see JT back. He is the striker we are looking for! Although Im still up for a big dirty Norwegian if he is already in the post. 2 really good goals, bucket loads of entertainment from Just, Slattery and Mr Chaos! SOD rampaging thru midfield to join in. It was a joy to watch. We really are witnessing something very special.

Aye, but its Tony Watt! ๐๐๐

Oh absolutely. With hindsight and a new Sports Scientist who actually monitors load management, its maybe no surprise that our injury problems seem to have diminished. At the time of issuing the new contracts though, it still seemed a risk....
-
Agreed. The thought of renewing both SODs and McGinn last year seemed mental. Especially after McGinns injury problems. Both of them have been outstanding this season and contribute so much both on and off the park. Who woulda thunk asking footballers to play football would have had such success!
-
Get Slatts on a longer term deal, renew SODs, clear out the deadwood and get 1 or 2 in to bolster the squad and we go into the second half of the season in pretty good shape.
-
I know this is the reality for a club like ours. But it would be nice, just once, to be able to keep a group together and build something special. I think this manager and this group of players are capable of winning something, particularly if the gaffer got 2 or 3 windows to do it. The good thing right now is our relatively strong financial position will allow us to see off any lowball offers for our better players. So we shouldnt be losing too many bodies, if any, this month.

We got ยฃ1.8m for big Theo for a 15 goal season. Maswanhise is a different kind of player but is on a higher trajectory in terms of goals. No reason to think we couldnt emulate that fee.
-
I wouldnt be too worried about the Watt to Rangers story. They've already indicated they need to move other players on to free up money for Rรถhl so I dont see them being willing to pay what we would ve looking for to let him go this window. I also wouldnt be selling Maswanhise this window unless it was utterly stupid money. We really need his goals. I like the sound of a big Norwegian striker that batters people though! Much more exciting than Hale or Nisbet rumours!

Happy New Silverwear! ๐งกโค๏ธ๐งก

St Mirren fans will come to the game too....... ๐ค๐ค๐ค

Reflecting on last night, for all our good play, possession football and generally ripping the pish right out of Celtic, it was nice to see the first goal being scored as a result if a good old fashioned cross into the box! Also, some of our balls over the top behind their defence were magnificent. We really should have won that game by more! Great to see the manager mixing up his tactics.
-
Not for me. Talented player, but doesnt work hard enough for the team or at his own game in general. Dont think he would improve in our system.
-
The manager and the players wont. But we are allowed to! Some if their fans (and one of our former captains) were a little less than magnanimous after the semi final. So I would "really really love it if we beat them now" ๐๐๐
-
JBA can do whatever the hell he likes! If we can beat Celtic with 4 right backs and no strikers he can probably walk on water! ๐๐๐

Only 7 points from safety! ๐งกโค๏ธ๐งก

Welsh and JT back. And we owe them. We are pumping them. 3-0 Motherwell.

Really difficult to pick tonight as every single player gave everything. However, Just was my pick for his workrate, energy and pure nuisance value. Celtic didnt know what to do with him at all. It was no surprise when our performance dripped off a bit after his substitution, albeit we were trying ro close the game out at the time.
-
Absolutely magnificent game tonight. We absolutely bossed that for about 80 minutes. I dont think Ive ever seen that against either of the big two in 57 years. The energy, determination and tenacity of the team to get after Celtic and not give them a minute, was immense. They JUST couldnt handle us, or him! This team/squad/manager has something. We might not win the league. But we ARE in the conversation and we should be looking at the Scottish Cup as a viable target. In Jens we trust!
-
Probably not. But we are in the conversation, and if we cant win it, we can definitely be a determining factor on who does. We should definitely be targeting the Scottish Cup though. This team is definitely good enough to win that.

Brilliant goal from the middle of the park. Is JT the striker we've been looking for? ๐๐๐

Not sure why any of this needs to be a conspiracy at all. 1. Our officials are poor and often get decisions abysmally wrong. 2. Big teams always get more decisions in their favour. Especially at home. Its a tale as old as time. 3. There will undoubtedly be unconcious bias with all officials. As human beings, we all have that. As for the penalty. Thought it was a stonewaller in real time. Less so now Ive seen it from the side view. Fernandez hangs his leg out and there is definite contact, so I think its still a pen, but it is of the softer variety. If thats a goalkeeper going to ground and not getting the ball and the attacking player takes the contact and goes down, its being given all day long and he is praised for being "clever". Its 100% given at the opposite end, or at least reviewed by VAR.

Anyone watched Morocco? Asking for a friend! ๐๐๐

Delighted enough to let him play tomorrow night? ๐๐๐
