  1. And for a third time ? My point? Shamelessly taking an odd quote from this and another thread... We're now approximately 18 months into his contract, he barely featured in his first six as the then manager had him down as a chump. Much lauded performances by the usual suspects, when in reality a good game is hitting a shot within a foot past the post or winning a foul speaks volumes. Decent creative player? As steelboy posted above "when a players best quality is that he gets fouled a lot then he's hardly going to be difficult to replace". Goal scoring and assist records are there for all to see (entire career if you need further convincing) Stands up against these mythical matches where he's been terrorising opposition defences. FACT. Recent team formations - Was he missed? Doubt it! Jamie Murphy has offered a lot, lot more going forward. As for your closing statements...
  2. Again ? So by your reckoning he's contributed to the winning of two spot kicks, one securing points at Tannadice and the other missed (you can get your hand on the dummy with another at St Midden). His wing wizardry has opposing players sent off which you agree we then fail to capitalise on. So where does he had the strength to our team? Vivid dreams, the Jim O'Brien that you and others get all misty eyed over is a MYTH.
  3. ? One and the same? I'd love to see this Jim O'Brien playing in claret and amber.
  4. To Dianne, credit where credit is due, a big thank you from the players and committee at the Motherwell Fans Club for organising last nights Chrimbo bash at Fir Park. We've seen over the last couple of months the work that you've input and a top night had by all in our company. With his best performance since Scott Leitchs' house the other week, methinks we may have seen Jim O'Brien playing for the last time at Fir Park if the rumour factory is to be believed... All sorts of shenanigans to be had especially Joeboys' dancing technique although Grimmy and Big Tache stole the show for me with the Quo!
  5. Well, to me, in accommodating him for little return, that's where the team has lost its balance over the last 3 weeks.
  6. Erm, kind of self explanatory then? No law binding Mr Gannon to share his opinion so he's exercising that right. You could even get their dad to read about how the manager thought the game went and how he thought his selection/formation went later in the week when he talks to the official site. You take it easy on that keyboard now...
  7. Well, flat hunting in Aberdeen without female as she refuses to move there would suggest otherwise. Zander Diamond, a relation, was telling all and sundry out Dumbarton way not so long ago... Not as big a loss as some would have you believe.
  8. Doh! Was talking about Giles, I didn't realise 'juke' was highlighted...
  9. How? In what way? Plenty have stated similiar in this thread without explanation, seems to me that it's only affecting the sycophants on here that have a self importance that knows no bounds... Remembering it's the Jim Gannon show! I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall at his Thursday press conference. Believe Mr keevins was given his place. Todays' edition of the Daily Rebel should be good (using that term very, very loosely).
  10. Fibber! He signed plenty for me.
  11. Tin hat on here. Decent pub, but, lager is one of the worst in Motherwell
  12. Whit? Deary me big man, consider yourself dropped for our next match... ridiculous.
  13. Eh? Well, I was in Edinburgh and I'd wager plenty others who were there are concerned also, how does sending media hacks into a self importance tizzy not do us good? All good things come to those who wait... Official website not enough? Power to Gannon I say. Well, until he falls out with our man Burrows Apparently not. So why the fuss? This evenings news had the SPL pushing a motion that it may become a requirement to offer themselves for post match media purposes. Now will those who made this claim in print on Sunday and Monday mornings retract? Silence is Golden right enough!
  14. Prediction? We'll hear it often enough over the course of the day no doubt, but, Athenry Mike was a thief! I've a funny feeling I'll be discussing referees at the lodge this coming week on account Charlie Richmond is officiating. Hoping a motion from our Uddingston brethren succeeds in having Brother Brines black-balled for this weekend performace... Defeat is unthinkable with the Christmas festivities kicking off on Saturday night at Fir Park, face apologising to the neighbours again if we were to win (Well it's Carfin, there still smarting over my Skippy Sunday antics), I'd happily take another point.
  15. Indeed! Bubba of JGF fame to the left and has followed Motherwell as long as I've known him... showing my age noo, known Cloudy and him since they were nippers.
  16. I'd wager Mr Gannon would be a harder punch than Jim McLean
  17. Very much in vogue. Usual detractors apart, the club have worked themselves some very good PR with seats that would have lain empty.
  18. To save any more PM's and pant wetting accusations... 'A' League or MLS
  19. Well, going by what he said on Saturday that would be difficult as he's likely to be...
  20. Nay lad. Granted, I'll give you a few of your points, but, Western Bar is where it's at Wednesday afternoon anyways. Cloudy WILL be there
  21. Opinions are like arseholes
  22. Well, he played for Leicester City then no? That picture was the night Softie's shoot out penalty rattled the square post in the League Cup Semi-Final I'm sure.
