  1. Deary me. There’s a few on here get pilloried for the nature of their posts yet this is sanctimony that knows no bounds. Your preferred midfield 3, experience, maturity & dog eat dog determination? 2 of those mentioned got us in this mess by shoehorning them in on a regular basis. How do you possibly set them up? No balance whatsoever as for being in the trenches Donnelly and O’Hara would be the last on the list and the adjectives used certainly don’t describe them. I’d be stunned if Alexander were to drop Cornelius, calls to change are crass at best. Wether it’s right or wrong - general rank and file support don’t know nor understand what’s being asked of the midfield. As I alluded to earlier in the season the fully functioning midfield has to be supported by a defence who’s not soft centred and a forward line suplimenting the other parts of the team - that’s where the points haul from then came from.
  2. A striker being on fire suggests scoring goals which had deserted him. I did mention we slept walked into the situation where we haven’t recreated his other attributes. We weren’t a one man team either, there were others who gave him the platform and were sidelined after he left to shoehorn others in.
  3. Revisionism in the extreme. His purple patch had long passed him by. We have though sleep walked into this period with little or no plan to recreate his other attributes.
  4. Yet, extended deals for McGinley & Mugabi. Definitely not screaming ambition.
  5. Definitely best defender on form currently, it’s not a high bar. I don’t fancy him & McGinley being our left side as a long term option. I’m hearing you on the other two, suspect it’s how we’ve managed to attract Ojala’s pedigree
  6. But, you want improvement? He only made it out the Livingston strikers back pocket just in time on Saturday. Bullied
  7. Those statements are just not truthful. Anybody thinking different needs to give their head a wobble.
  8. Just seen something on a chat group this morning that is restrictive in seat choice & doesn’t offer under 16 tickets for their kid yet, freely available in the home end.
  9. Are ticket purchases proving difficult?
  10. Really. One of a few stats offered at the recent AGM when questioned about ‘leaving somebody up the park’. Football has evolved too.
  11. Which every team in the league does except the one we beat on Saturday. There was stats offered recently for conceding 0 from around 170 corner kicks against us.
  12. Noted. What’s smart about saying we’ll be well served if it came to pass? We just ripping up remaining two years of a contract now?
  13. There’s a dedicated thread to house unfounded rumours. Unlikely. We’d be well served if this came to pass.
  14. Onto the game, showed conviction to make required changes and it’s paid off - I don’t see it as easy as making these changes some weeks ago, but, it would likely have helped. Far from the finished article, but, I’ll back commitment like that everytime
  15. Regulars weren’t playing. Take from that what you will.
  16. Well, I’d discount the headline as the first team squad have the weekend off except those representing their international sides.
  17. One thing I don’t think can be levelled at the fans is not getting behind the team except from some derision against Ross County recently.
  18. But again, the optimum time to sell may be this summer. If some think he wasn’t brought to the club to sell on they’re not reading the room. Sweating the assets is what we do. 11 players on a par with Nathan McGinley will give everybody the fear - that’s another debate.
  19. Right to ask the question, but, business model and longevity of the club will decree. The optimum to sell may well be this summer? Good keepers are plentiful South of the border - it’s how we never realised financial potential on Randolph, Gillespie & Carson. Good recruitment would soften any blow and not foist a Craig Samson upon us.
  20. Inexplicable benching was discussed publicly by the manager, it was protecting the player himself on demands of 90 minutes week by week physically and mentally amid a rising disciplinary points total. All said & done, it’s a step up from development football in England. Reluctantly have to take that at face value. Do I agree? Like many, I don’t. Telling a 23 year old he can’t be playing each week in Scotland given his background & previous appearances doesn’t sit right - add in the performances of others selected ahead of him & it’s clear this particular train of thought should have stopped weeks ago. I was more concerned he stated another player was first pick when fit. Veil of secrecy? Think you answered your own frustrations. As for fans understanding, if some of the takes on here are anything to go by, Alexander discussing in a one to one still wouldn’t register. This unfettered access? It’s the reason why information has become scarce. I’ve seen some stuff trotted out with reference to ‘fan owned club’ in a quest for titbits lately - it’s high time some realise subs upwards if £5 a month don’t mean you have open access to how the club operates. I’d wager those at other clubs around us Hearts & St Mirren for example, don’t even get a similar insight to their clubs.
  21. Well aware of current run of form. However our average players are being deployed is for another debate. Rumours abound? Not one has been credible and certainly not substantive. Players being omitted and voicing displeasure is phenomena? Criticising Alexander would see offenders banished - how do all these players make matchday squads? I’d discount a few theories on here for sure. Wait till Kelly goes in the summer, incandescent with rage will be the order of the day on here.
  22. Problem? Some would say these average players should be chased.
  23. I’m intrigued to find out what others base this on? And if I hear his ‘box to box’ credentials I may scream.
