Bullshit. What have you seen of their progress? I’d wager not a lot. WOW factor to come in and play consistently? Only one can really be said of that was Turnbull and he is genuinely a once in a generation type. He’s gone, we’ll benefit from monies generated. Allan Campbell didn’t have a WOW factor, but, those who did could see he’d progress - it’s now time to think of life after Campbell. Incredibly naive to think he’d extend a contract beyond his 22 years. Each has come in when given their chance and offered something different. To further develop a sales pitch for them, those behind haven’t been offered same opportunity- time is on their side though.

Nobody said it wouldn’t be tough - replacing an international defender like for like isn’t happening, doesn’t mean irreplaceable - granted, evidence not great this year, that’s where we trust they get outlook & recruitment correct. Outside of Celtic, I’m not sure Gallagher will favour a move away that may impact on his Euro’s place. Tin hat on maybe, both players haven’t performed in weeks either & contributed to poor displays without criticism.

Are you saying both players to be irreplaceable? As we did with Campbell, those behind need the opportunity to flourish. Versatility isn’t always the answer. Recruitment this summer has been done to death on here of late & with plenty of merit, certain amount of trust needs to offered regardless who may be in charge.

Rangers and Celtic youths are on salaries some can only dream about & are commanding similar terms elsewhere whilst their holding clubs are commanding development fees way and above what’s affordable. Are you seeing value for money there?

For all his faults, we’ve lost a lot of drive and energy from the team with his removal. That’s drive and energy that forces us further up the park... not the flying anorak type chasing favoured by some on here.

McGinley is never a full back, he’s the best fit for filling in at the moment. The first has been explained further up, both he and Gallagher move one across to cover the gaping hole left by Mugabi... again. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t and the ball is dropped centrally. Whilst caught in possession for our 3rd, regardless if the game is gone at that point, Mark O’Hara can’t escape criticism for another non attempt at protecting the back four - the primary role of holding midfielders.

That’s on the management team for sure. Playing with the shape changed in Campbell’s absence and expecting a different answer was folly. Campbell won’t be around forever.

Really? We introduced a player who won’t be available for a squad place next weekend. When do you aid development if we’re not 4 goals ahead and cruising ? Business end of the season when stakes could be even higher? And before the usual suspects proclaim ‘they’ll get their chance as its not felt they’re ready’ - they’re at the club because coaching staff see their development better served around the first team & loan moves were ruled out.

I’d doubt Gallagher given social media release this week. Take Lamie out the equation...
