Our information is NEC Nijmegen invited the club for a pre-season friendly. Unfortunately, the League Cup schedule doesn't allow for that. It would've been fun to invoke the postponement of an early league fixture like the Shettleston Harriers are afforded every season. Imagine the seethe.

Our amateur team would be among the last to utilise the facility on a regular basis. As I recall, a local boys club recently failed in their attempt to take the place over. It would certainly align with the current zoning of 'leisure use'.
