  1. Skewed thinking that. Inexperience over Experience? Moot point, but, Owen Coyle had a stellar record in Scotland before moving Southwards. Relative success then moves to clubs at varying stages of crisis - could've been here with a point to prove & rebuild. All the best to Mr Robinson, just need to remember he has the signing of Josh Law on his CV, I'd say that wasn't too clever.
  2. Aye? Suspect the truth will out... No cryptic or any fortune cookie chat - the club wanted Coyle, Coyle fancied the challenge then reneged due circumstances outwith our control. I forgave him for a lot because of the penalty at the open air Masonic Lodge, but, he's back to being a soap dodging, bog trotting Airdrie bastard It won't be long to find out if replacing experience with inexperience has worked.
  3. It would surprise you who did... Gary Locke whilst in the employment of Kilmarnock?
  4. Just thinking... Mark McGhee's never been short on confidence. Interesting to see if he applies to replace himself at Motherwell.
  5. Na, just offering a different slant. Don't think our thinking is that far apart. Oldham, although second bottom had the most clean sheets in the league. He makes the team difficult to beat first and foremost which isn't a bad thing. We will score goals unlike Oldham given our striking options. I wouldn't be averse to having Robinson in charge till the end of season.
  6. So maybe it isn't going to be Robinson? It could be a coach that is a little streetwise who doesn't want to be named too soon so he can distance himself in case we are pumped again at Pittodrie...
  7. “To be fair, they were straight on the phone to us and the league after the match."
  8. Peter Houston? Really? Even in our current position, I'd wager our stock is considerably higher than what he could bring to the table...
  9. They are millionaire's? Even if they haven't done 'the knowledge' - must have a few taxis on the go...
  10. Outwith our reach? Both are on the dole...
  11. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story will you? The billionaire tax exile had more than a say in proceedings...
  12. Walking, talking fortune cookie
  13. Good job you're not on the coaching staff...
  14. He's not the only option though... Alan Campbell falls into the good enough, old enough category for me.
  15. Lasley in the holding role? Belter. He's not got the discipline for something he should've been doing 3 or 4 seasons ago!
  16. Can only echo Modernist's sentiments. A gentleman to boot - teacher, guidance teacher & coach. A highlight of my time at Garrion.
  17. Bore off... 'professionals'
  18. Eh? I was offering how referees & media hacks alike interpret such tackles. I agree our man was in control of his challenge, still don't think it even merited a foul. As for Lucas, the original point was regarding his sending off in the Hamilton game
  19. Not disagreeing with your main point, but, not sure Lucas should have gone? Behave yourself. The rules are you have to be controlled in the tackle. Winning the ball is irrelevant - which is a poor rule to be fair & the problem is further compounded by poor interpretation of the rules by those paid handsomely to handle these situations. Nobody else feel the second today was offside? I was directly in line & Heneghan took the high line perfectly for me & Goncalves was offside when the ball was played through. No claim by hand in the air & no protest after the goal may suggest different.
