Not for me mate, that lopsided 442 we played in a midweek game at firhill has scarred me for life.we really need to do something with our midfield though,I would like us to to go with 2 strikers and someone to link the play between midfield and up front, most likely roberts.
-
I don't think there is much wrong with the way the people at the top are running the club,I would even say it's as good as we could ask for at a club like ours.the only problem right now is the manager who seems to be pretty clueless right now and has no idea how to set us up,making 3 and 4 changes every game is bad enough but to then go out and play exactly the same way as the week before is laughable.like you I don't see playing 442 as much of an answer either,we don't have 2 good enough wingers to play in the same team and we struggle with 3 in midfield as it is without only playing 2 in there.
-
Giving his height goss would be good option to get into the box when the ball is out wide, having another target to hit and ariel threat wouldn't go amiss.having two midfielders getting forward or taking it in turns would be good but right now I would settle for one.
-
433 would work just fine if alexander used it properly, having 3 sitting defensive side of the ball all the time is a joke.our midfield is so easy to play against,we should have atleast 1 midfield runner to get the opposition midfield thinking and get another goal threat in the box.its anybody's guess what our midfield are actually there to do.alexander makes 3 and 4 changes most games and yet still sets us out to play the exact same way so I don't see changing formation making much difference.get your best 11 on the park and actually try and go and win the game would be a start, having nothing but defence type midfielders at home to the like of county and dundee is nonsense.

Good post.the buck stops with alexander, what we're seeing on the pitch is clearly how he wants us to play, long hoofs up the park, zero football in the middle of the park,no forward runners from midfield, full backs that stand off and let crosses into the ball and were a team that has very little goal threat.we got away with it earlier in the season when we were reasonably solid at the back and had watts quality up front but now that we can't buy a win, alexander doesn't have the answer.the constant changes to the starting line up are one thing but to then just keep playing the exact same way is just madness.how can we expect consistency on the park when the manager makes as many changes every week that does, there's not one solid partnership that's been formed throughout the team, the players must be wondering will I be playing and who will I be playing with.the cup tie is 50/50 lose that and the season is over, there's no way we're getting fourth and I would say we're most likely to be bottom six than top.
-
We are absolutely fucking hopeless
-
Anything other than a win at home against the team bottom of the league when we can potentially go back into fourth with a win will be unacceptable.i don't care how we do it but the three points are a must today.
-
I often wonder what happened to the old tombola machine that did the half time draws,it turns out that's how alexander makes his team selection.
-
I can get to a point where performances don't matter,in games like last night for example,we all knew it was never going to be a classic but do you think ross county will be bothered that they played shit and still won.were brutal to watch right now, there's not one positive to take from our play and fans will only accept that for so long especially when were shelling out good money to be bored out were tits every game and watch so called professionals that can't even find a team mate with a pass.alexander can go on about performances not mattering but see when he's actually setting us up to perform like we are, long punts all game and no goal threat then he seriously needs to have a look at what he's doing.
-
Were shite at keeping the ball but yet our best midfielder on the ball is slattery and yet he can't get a game.theres absolutely zero drive or forward thinking from midfield but yet we see cornelius dropped yet again after having a good game at Ibrox.theres some poor players on show but what chance do some of them stand when they don't know who will be playing beside them from game to game.alexander has fucked our league campaign with the constant messing about with the starting 11.
-
Part of the managers remit is to improve the squad, were also paying recruitment people for that specific job.i get the lower the budget the manager has to work with the options become less limited but I don't believe for a second there isn't better options out there than some of the players we currently have.our full back options are a joke, there defensively poor, offer nothing in attack, take odonnell for example how many times does he put in a cross only to know get the ball off the ground and beat the first man, there's guys in our squad that are lucky to be with us and earning wages that most of us would love to be making.as a club we always seem to waste wages by offering players that should be moved on a new deal, mcginley for instance has done nothing of note that's deserving of a new contract,I wouldn't be surprised grimshaw is next up.theres key areas in the team that have to be improved on over the summer, alexander has to go and make it happen.

How can he come away with that performance tonight doesn't concern him.the performance wasn't anywhere near good enough hence why we lost the game, were simply not playing well enough to be winning games even on a semi regular basis right now.we couldn't string two passes together all game, showed no real threat in front of goal and he isn't concerned, worrying stuff that from the manager.on alexander his constant tinkering with the team has to stop but it wont, there's no partnerships being built up and players that look comfortable playing with the guy beside them.i think he's done a decent enough job and I'm not saying we should be getting rid of him but the way he is setting us up right now is putting us on the back foot before the first whistle.we should have been buzzing after the comeback on sunday but we looked like a team that couldn't be arsed there tonight, there's serious issues when we can't even string two passes together and show some effort and movement off the ball.

McKinnon, now your talking grizzly.i would be happy with a solid enough left back, somebody that will do us a turn without constantly costing us goals.
-
Carroll is a liability, he constantly gets caught out of position, never gets out and blocks crosses.we should be looking at moving him on at the end of the season as the left back position is a constant problem, there has to be better out there than what we currently have.
-
The fact that were only 2 points from 4th spot is crazy considering how bad we have been since the break, were still in with a shout but are rapidly running out of chances anything other than 3 points against dundee and we can forget it.no doubt there will be personnel changes for that game but if there isn't a change in shape and approach then we will struggle yet again against a poor dundee team.
-
We must be the worst team in the league at passing the ball,it's embarrassing for paid professionals that can't do even basic stuff.
-
First in a run of fixtures that could define our season and we play like that, absolutely dire.we have been rotten since the break so losing to ross county yet again comes as no surprise.
-
Never a penalty but we have had plenty of time to show a reaction and have been poor.big second half coming for our top six chances.
-
I missed our first goal at the time but having just seen it there, that was top drawer wing play by woolery,he should be doing that more often getting the ball out his feet and knocking by the defender and using his pace as there's no left backs in the league that will keep up with him.he should be full of confidence going into our next game.
-
Fucking magic,well done lads.
-
We know the old firm have better players so they least we should be doing is competing and making it as hard for there players to play, they dont even need to earn a result against us these days and it's so frustrating,it's like we lose 5 and 6 nil and it doesn't really matter.we must have the worst attitude in the league when approaching these games.
-
I never expect to get a result from these games but I'm sick to death of how easy we make it for the old firm these days, they don't even have to break sweat to pump us.
-
We have a really good goalkeeper in kelly, who should be playing every game and rightly so,fox giving his age is probably happy to play second fiddle at a premier league club where pj really needs to start playing games to get his career going,he's only 24 so has plenty time on his side but I think it would benefit him if he was to move on and be a number one elsewhere.
-
Left back was an area i was hoping we would be looking to really improve for next season so having carroll and now mcginley tied up is disappointing.right back is also a bit of a problem, odonnell is the captain and surely one of our highest earners but doesn't put in enough good performances to warrant either,I wouldn't be against him moving on if we could find any takers.i wouldn't be in a rush either to sign any of the rest of the players that are out of contract, there all squad players and could be easily replaced.
