  1. You make a good point, the chances of alessio working out at kilmarnock were slim from the very start.the guy has worked at the highest level and will have standards to match it,there was no way guys like boyd and broadfoot would be up for changing there diet and doing extra training sessions, they two have built a career on having it easy at ibrox.mind the same happened at rangers with paul le guen and it was barry ferguson that was leading the clique against him cause he didn't want to be doing anymore than he wanted to.you would the players at kilmarnock at the time would have been desperate to learn from someone that's worked at the top but there seemed to be issues right from the off.
  2. We really need to bringing in a couple of defenders that are actually going to make us better, magloire isn't good enough,I would much rather give oconnor game time that bring him back.
  3. That devlin is as injury prone as they come,he's definitely one to avoid.our defence does need a bit of work in the summer, especially at full back, constantly going between odonnell and mugabi and carroll and mcginley just isn't good enough,we need two full backs to come in and be first choice and actually improve us in those positions.
  4. Today was an example that we can be effective when we take our time in possession and even keep it simple.first half was shambolic,we gave the ball away at every turn from long hoofs up the park to trying to play a 5 yard pass in the middle of the park, everything was all rushed,it was like nobody wanting to be in possession.the second half we were a bit more composed in the middle of the park and with players actually looking to get on the ball, there was some good balls played down our right flank in the second half and not the aimless punts into space that we see a lot of the time.im.not convinced by alexander but chuffed we made it over the line consider it feels like we had spent most of the season in the top 6,I'm glad we have some games to look forward to with a bit of meaning about them rather than those bottom 6 games that feel like pre season friendlies.
  5. Didn't see us turning that around so fair play,I would much rather be top 6 with the extra finances involved and still in with a shout of europe but we're absolutely dire and alxeander being here next season just doesn't do it for me.
  6. Agreed, the performances and results go hand in hand, approach games like we do and more often than not were going to lose,he's the most negative manager we've ever had.
  7. Agreed,he's clueless,we can't go into another season with him in charge.
  8. No effort to try and block the shot at goal, sums this current lot right up
  9. I'm at the point now where I actually detest watching this current team, there's nothing about it that's enjoyable.
  10. It's absolutely brutal to watch this long ball shite and the tactic of kelly kicking long out wide to mugabi only for him to header it inside to nobody is dire.
  11. This has been embrassing so far from us
  12. I agree,I don't see him being sacked anytime soon especially after they paid compensation for him and reportedly made him there highest paid manager.he might come under pressure early into next season if there run of form was to continue between now and then.it will be interesting to see what players he takes there.it was definitely strange to be throwing some players under the bus giving the fact that they were in with as good a shout as anybody of getting into the top 6 and now he will be relying on those same players of trying to stay away from the play off spot, you would think st johnstone will really have st mirren in there sights now.
  13. Even though st mirren were comfortable and on a decent run of form when robinson took over,he said as soon as he seen the squad he realised they were in a dogfight and he's supposed to have told a number of players there that there not good enough.there results have been poor since he went there but the fans seem to be against him for behind the scenes stuff,it looks like he's went in there with a bit of an attitude and it's backfiring on him.i wouldn't rule at mirren out of finishing in the play off spot.
  14. Judging by some of the comments online, there seems to be a fair few st mirren fans that have turned against robbo already after comments he made after the game against us.
  15. There isnt many players that I liked when they were with us and then couldn't stand after they left and tait is one of them.hes had some really shocking tackles on our players and some of his comments are laughable,he's made a cunt of it a few times this season against us and it's been glorious each time.
  16. Finishing in the top 6 is in our own hands,we should be going all out for the win knowing that we don't need to rely on other results.efford wasn't great yesterday but we really need to be sticking on a settle line up.livi are quite slow at the back so woolery off the bench in the second half could be a good option for us to have.it won't be a pretty game but hopefully we do enough on the day.
  17. We needed that today, that's a big win for us.we started the game brightly then conceded a comical goal and I bet we were all thinking here we go again,we got a bit of luck with our equaliser but we were due that against that mob after there dodgy penalty and retake against us earlier in the season.the finish by shields was pure quality and deano showed real composure with his,how much of a difference it makes having a midfielder getting forward into a goal scoring position.the midfield that started today definitely has the best feel about it,alexander can't go tinkering with it,leave it as is for the rest of the season if possible.ive been critical of odonnell but he had a good game at left back,it might not be a long term solution but I would leave him there for the remainder of the season.that win has gave us a real chance of a top six finish and with fourth still up for grabs,we need to keep a settle side now and hopefully have a good end to the season.
  18. We need to be winning this if we have any ambitions left of getting into the top 6.lose and st mirren will be above us and with aberdeen playing dundee they could easily be above us as well and if st johnstone win they will only be 6 behind us.i know that's a lot of ifs but we really need to get the finger out and get a win here.
  19. Aye kelly will be sold the minute the club gets the offer that suits.the club have played it well whatever happens,we either sell for a few times more than the fee we paid for him or have a quality goalkeeper for the length of his contract.theres bound to be interest in him this summer,I wouldn't be surprised if were already keeping an eye on potential replacements just in case.we always seem to have a really good goalkeeper or a total diddy, there's never much in between, let's hope we can bring in another good one when the time comes.
  20. I agree with that.its probably the same at any club, after a few bad results the rumours start that theres problems behind the scenes and the manager has lost the dressing room etc.weve had it with managers in the past and the only one I can think of was jim gannon.there doesn't seem to be a great feeling around the club the now but when is there when the results have been as bad as we have been getting lately.
  21. I know dundee were meant to have offered a good bit more than us for lamie but I'm guessing we only offered him a modest wage rise while they have giving him probably more than hes worth.i wouldn't be surprised if they offered him such a good deal in the hope that he might try and engineer the move in january as they were clearly desperate for a centre half.im still a bit disappointed he's going as he's went from a liability to as things stand probably our best centre half but he's not worth going overboard with in terms of wages.
  22. Now your talking,if robinson would take any of our left backs off our hands,I will be forever grateful, there both dreadful.
  23. O'Hara did an interview recently saying he hadn't been offered a new contract from us yet,so he's done the right thing and took the contract on offer at st mirren.hes only a decent player at this level and giving that he seems to be a bit injury prone and meant to be one of our higher earners then it's best we didn't keep him.lets hope robinson signs donnolly before he gets the chance to stay on.
  24. Aye it's quite an odd time to be signing a pre contract,I wouldn't be surprised he's took the first opportunity to get out the mess were in with alexander.in all honesty it can't be a great prospect right now for any of our players playing under alexander.
  25. I still can't believe we resigned mcginley, the thought of him and carroll battling it out at left back for another season is grim.
