  1. I'm the same,there's nobody I would be wanting off dundee it'd.
  2. I think we will sign a striker in january even if watt doesn't leave, alexander seems to be quite ruthless and I don't see him taking any chances with watt if he doesn't want to be here.if we can get watt out the door and somebody in by the morton game, that would be the ideal scenario.i can see united offering about a 100k for him, hopefully they don't waste our time by offering any old shite that can't get a game for them.
  3. It wasn't our best performance but it was all about getting the 3 points today and going into the break on a bit of a high.if we can get watts situation resolved and a replacement brought in before our next game, that would be ideal, all in all I'm delighted where we are going into the second half of the season.
  4. Aye he got injured against hibs,I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with him though.
  5. You've made some good points there.utd must have offered a big signing on fee, like they did when they got shankland and for that reason I can't see them then offering us anywhere near enough that would tempt us to sell in january.i would sell him if we got a half decent price but I think he's here to the end of the season, your last point about watts attitude is the most important thing for me as this could turn sour pretty quickly if his performances and attitude decline.i hope were looking at bringing in a striker in january to cover all bases.
  6. If he has signed a pre contract with utd,we find ourselves in a bit of a dilemma, utd won't offer us anywhere near enough that it would make sense to sell him in january and would we want him going there anyway when were basically competing with them for 4th place.this won't go down well with a large section of our supporters and we could easily have another gallagher situation on our hands, where the player down tools.
  7. If true, that's a shocking move for watt, clearly he will be earning shankland levels of money at them but as far as ambition goes,it's a total sideways move.
  8. You have to laugh at that balloon mcpake even mentioning watts name like he stands any chance of signing him.
  9. Watt won't turn a contract down from us then end up at dundee,if he stays up here it will be with aberdeen or hibs but even then I don't see it,I think he has ambitions of moving down south again.
  10. I didn't quite pick up on it at the time but that's some through ball from big sol for van veens goal.
  11. A straight forward and deserved 3 points, well done boys.
  12. I can't mind the last player that i took too so quickly after they joined us,i love the big man,he comes across a right good guy as well.
  13. I see watt is being linked with a few english championship teams today,if he was to move to any of those mentioned he would be getting more than an extra grand or two a week, there's no way he will be turning that kind of money down and let's be honest, rightly so.ive resigned myself to him leaving,as long as he doesn't end up at a hibs or aberdeen that will do me,I actually think he will have eyes on moving down south again and trying to do that move justice now that his career is in the best place it's been.
  14. Aye you would think they three would offer atleast treble what we would.i would be gutted to see him go to any of they clubs after we have pretty much helped to save his career, hopefully he has ambitions to give playing down south or abroad another go and gets the opportunity.I would love him to stay but sadly for me there is zero chance of it happening.
  15. Hopefully we will have a couple of fit centre half for this.i don't see us getting anything but if we can do ourselves justice and not do any damage to our confidence,I'll be happy enough to settle for that as there's definitely points up for grabs in our next four games after this
  16. Am i right in thinking other than goss and slattery all our midfielders are out of contract at the end of the season?
  17. Watt and van veen should take turns in winding that clown porteous up,he will eventually bite and do something stupid.
  18. I would say we have a slightly better chance of watt signing a new deal than say someone like moult, just for the fact he's from the area and it's the best he's felt at any club he's been at.theres no doubt we will make him the best possible offer,if that will be enough time will tell.hes finally got his career on track and if he does leave i hope it's to have another go outside scotland,I would hate to see him end up at a hibs or aberdeen for nothing more than a extra few quid.
  19. To get a result in those conditions is always pleasing and we seen a reaction after saturday,so it's been a good night's work for us.there was some stand out performance, watt was outstanding not just for his goal, his hold up play and work rate were just as good.goss looks like he's really finding his feet,he brings a bit of composure to the midfield that's been missing, that was woolerys best game for us by a mile,he was a constant threat and worked hard back the way too,if he can show that more often then he will be a real assett.the only downside was the injury to sondre,I would imagine if it's a hamstring he will miss a month or so,to be fair to the big man he was right onto the park at full-time to celebrate with his team mates,I love the passion he has brought since being here.ojala is a class act, hopefully he isn't far away and that would soften the blow of losing sondre.
  20. Good to see goss and van veen back in, hopefully the rest are out to make amends for Saturday.
  21. We have a good chance of progression provided we turn up with the right attitude, play like we did against hearts we will go through comfortably, play like we did on saturday then it could end up being a tricky tie.
  22. I couldn't make it today but fair play to you and the rest of our fans that paid to endure that rubbish.i said earlier in the thread that you could tell after 10 minutes what to expect from us,there was no urgency, passing was woeful then we inevitably concede a poor goal and there was zero reaction afterwards.dundee imo are the worst team in the league and they didn't have to break sweat, that's how bad we were especially in the first half.i have to agree about mcginley he's absolutely woeful, with him and grimshaw in the same team were always going to be up against from the start.alexander seemed to be pretty pissed off after the game so hopefully we see a positive reaction on tuesday.
  23. Our midfield just hasn't looked comfortable for a while now,I don't think a flat three in there works,I would much rather we went with an actual holding midfielder with two in front or an attacking midfielder with two behind,we really need to start getting the balance right in there.a decent left back would be nice in january also.
