  1. Any ideas how long it will take to finish the pitch? it must surely be touch and go for the european game giving how much work is getting done, like you say fuck having to go to airdrie again.
  2. That's not quite the line up I was hoping to see but giving the bug doing the rounds in the squad,i can't be critical.no van veen is a huge blow,I just hope shields or efford can put in a match winning performance.
  3. The current groundstaff have done wonders with the pitch over the years but going by what flow has said it seems like we're at the point where we have had to bite the bullet and fully redo the pitch.its going to be a big outlay but if it does save the club money in the long term then it will be fully worth it.
  4. There hasn't been many players that I closely keep an eye on after they have left us but alan is one of the few,I'm chuffed to bits for him that he's done that well.we have some decent midfielders at international level but he surely can't be that far off getting a call up.
  5. I was reading quite a few comments from dundee utd fans earlier and they were all saying how pissed off they are with watt diving all the time,he's at it every game supposedly.
  6. 3 points here will be huge,we need to go all out for the win, let's hope we see a similar performance to the game earlier in the season.
  7. What a massive 3 points that is,I didn't see us getting anything so I'm chuffed to be proved wrong over my earlier prediction on this thread.at half time it looked like it would take something like a penalty to win the game for either side,I'm just glad we got the break this time,we were due one.i didn't like the way we were dropping deeper and deeper towards the end but I have to say I thought we defended our box brilliantly in the second half.
  8. Mccart was excellent for st johnstone last season much like there whole team but has struggled this time around.judging by some of the comments I've read from there fans the change in formation this season hasn't helped mccart,he seems to play better in a back 3.he would be a good shout for the left sided centre half role if lamie does indeed move on but I would think he done more than enough last season to get a decent enough move down south.
  9. I agree he could easily have been the difference in a number of the tight games, the run of fixtures we had in march in particular come to mind.
  10. I get why we sold watt but it was always going to be a gamble and it's backfired on us.i don't think all our problems since coming back from the break are down to him leaving but there's no doubt we have really missed him,his ability to get us up the park, hold up play and win fouls in the opposition half has been really missed.we were never going to sign someone that came straight into the team and carried on what watt was doing but not bringing in an actual central striker and signing another anywhere across the front merchant in efford was the mistake,I don't rate him at all but he just wasn't the type we needed to sign.to be honest if I never hear the words anywhere across the front three again when we sign a player,it will be to soon.
  11. If that's up for it then god help us
  12. When was the last game we were up for it?there's been little evidence of it of late, this would be the ideal game for us to be at it and put a performance in.

    Alexander.

That's sums up my thoughts perfectly,I'm not convinced by alexander but that means nothing and it's what the club decides is all that matters.next season will be the real test for alexander,if we carry our form into next season then he will be under pressure almost straight away.i never want to see a motherwell manager fail so I'm hoping that we can turn things around going into the new season.the summer recruitment always feels like it's vital but none more so than this time around,we need to be bringing in players that will improve the starting 11,we can't be bringing in bit part players and jersey fillers this time around.
  14. For as bad as we have been lately,it's fair to say that luck hasn't been on our side, this would be the ideal game to get a rub of the green.
  15. Ross county will be up for it and we won't,I can only see another defeat here.

    Alexander.

I don't believe for a second we won't be able to afford to sack him, there's no way the club would have got themselves into a position where there stuck with a manager and can't afford to change it.

    Alexander.

That's my biggest fear giving him the summer transfer window,if he just adds more shite to what we already have, then there is no doubt we will be in real trouble next season.were a shambles throughout the team and anything other than bringing in players that will actually improve us will be a disaster waiting to happen.
  18. To have 1 win in 18 games in this league is beyond a joke, there's something seriously not right to be on a run of form like that and it certainly isn't down to bad luck.
  19. I want alexander gone but can't see it happening until next season.if he makes an arse of it with recruitment over the summer we will be in serious.we are absolutely shite
  20. Sums it all up,couldn't score in a barrel of fanny's and then get beat off a shit side with a deflected goal,we really are shite.there isn't one area of the outfield of our team that needs serious attention in the summer.
  21. Did you not get taught technology at your school
  22. And there we have it,missed chances have came back to bite us on the arse

    Alexander.

I don't particularly rate alexander but there's no way we should be getting rid of a manager thats got us a top 6 finish.i do think he has a big job on his hands over the summer though as the recruitment must be spot on or we could easily carry on our poor form into next season and get off to a bad start and I think then he will come under some pressure.were very one dimensional and easy to play against,he has to find other ways of playing, even a plan b would be a good start.we could easily go two ways next season,we could kick on if we bring in the right sort of players or we will really struggle.i.hope every player that is out of contract moves on and we can add 3 or 4 that will be genuine starters and make us better, there's zero point in ridding the squad of guys like Justin, grimshaw and donnolly only to then fill the squad back up with similar standard.football wise it's been brutal to watch this season and there's been a couple of home games recently where it's felt like a bit of a chore to go too but the fact we could still end up with a european spot is crazy,if we could pull that off and get to the end of the season then the speculation about new players starts,it might actually be a bit of an exciting summer for us fans.
  24. It's easier said that done but we should be bringing in half the amount of players that leave this summer and looking to bring in a better standard of player,we have a recruitment team and manager that are getting paid to improve us with in that area.other than the goalkeeping department we need to improve,if we could add one good player to the defence, midfield and up front it would be a great start and could make all the difference at this level.by all accounts johnstone and oconner are doing well on loan so there's two younger players that could be brought into contention without going and bringing in any lower league english gambles.
  25. Mugabi has looked all over the place of late at right back,we would benefit more having him at centre half beside lamie.im not much of a grimmy fan but having said that I wouldn't be against him at right back for this game,I would even go with ohara there before mugabi.
