Yup we're all gonna die;; we're all gonna die

BBC sport site confirms appointment of McCall on a two and a half year deal. Derek Weir says McCall was the first person to be offered the job. Onwards & upwards. Mon the Dossers.

All the best Stuart. 3 points against the Accies will do nicely for starters. C'mon you Well
-
SteelmaninOZ we must have started watching the Dossers/Steelmen the same season. Now that was a team.
-
To each their own. There have been numerous threads on here about why we are known as the Dossers. If you don't like it --- TOUGH Mon the Steelmen ??? Better

Well said that man Mon the Dossers

Did anybody see Big Mitch at the Rangers game on Sunday. ???? I'm only asking the question. I don't know if he was there but he is foreign and his name was mentioned earlier in this thread. Or Mio or Luc for that matter.

Bound to be a total sell-out. If you read your papers you'll know that the Mould Firm keep all the other teams in existence with the thousands and thousands of fans they bring to the wee diddy grounds.

I don't see the point in Boyle asking Aberdeen to delay the appointment till after the game at Pittodrie.. The pair of them are going there and their first priority is to prevent the Dons from falling into the 1st division so how the F*** can they motivate Well to go up there and work against the team they will be in charge of on the following Monday ?? Let them go now and lets hope they manage to take the Dons to where Magoo was leading them i.e the 1st Division. Mon the Dossers,

Got to be Blackman for his hat-trick but special mention for the Humph who was at times totally unplayable . Grainger must have been glad to see the back of him. Special mention also for a bit of an unsung hero just now. Big Randolph made some terrific stops at crucial times. Just how good he is is testified to by the fact that nobody seems to be saying anything about missing Ruddy. Mon the Dossers.

Don't know if this is any use but backpagenewcastle.com still have the book for sale on their website. Mibees it's an old web page but you could always try; I think they give a phone number you could ring before parting with any cash.

76 semi was one of the worst along with the Rangers CIS final. But going back a bit the 1-0 defeat to Airdrie in the cup after beating Ranngers 5-2 at Ibrox in a replay takes the biscuit for me. I think Airdrie had one shot on goal the whole game and scored. We did everything but get the ball past Lawrie Reilly ( I think??) who had a stormer of a game for them. Anybody else on here old enough to remember it ??? Mon the Dossers

FFS according to half the folk on here we would be as well no turning up at Hampden. Its a one off. Ninety minutes eleven against eleven. What happened at Ibrox or more especially the last time at Hampden doesn't come into the equation. Granpa Broon and Erchie will have the team up for it. WE need to get behind them at Hampden and who knows what might happen. We were supposed to get humped against Celtic at Hampden in the semi when we won the Scottish Cup so lets get behind the team. Mon the semi final Dossers.

To be honest all thats happened is the board have appointed a new Vice chairman and everybody seems to be jumping onto the fact we will be moving to Ravenscraig. It doesn't say that anywhere that I can see. Everybody seems to think we will be stuck with " A BARR Flatpack stadium" and are saying that they want a nice wee oval stadium with no empty spaces in the corners etc. When and if we move to the Craig site I think it will be in a joint venture with North Lanarkshire and we will have some sort of 100 year lease on the stadium or some such idea. Onwards and upwards Mon the Dossers

Jam 20 there was an announcement at half time on Saturday which as usual nobody could hear. I said to the guys beside me " did you not hear the announcement to evacuate the East Stand " That's where we're coming from.
-
Yer right Richie. Thanks for that.
-
How many people in the East stand on Saturday heard the announcement at half time that the East Stand had to be evacuated immediately ??

Watched the end of the Barca/Mallorca game last night and they were slaughtering Barca for the state of the Nou Camp. Apparently they have just relayed the surface and it was cutting up something awful. One of the Barca players ( can't remember who) did his hamstring and the commemtators were attributing it to the pitch. Only good point is that he's one of the Spanish side who looks like he won't be playing against Scotland next week. If a wee diddy team like Barca canny get their pitch right what chance have the Dossers ???

Congratulations to Chris, his partner and all connected to their families. Mon the wee Dosser

Lasley for me. 100% effort as usual. I know he's not the most gifted of players but he sure puts in a shift for the team, but we desperately need a bit of creativity in the middle of the park. Could Gow be the answer ?? On the strength of his cameo role yesterday the answer might just be yes. The only bit of creativity was when he sold the defence a dummy by looking to pass out to Humphrey then turned inside and fired in a cross which might just have got us the winner. Humphrey for me is a bit of an enigma. Sure he has loads of pace but there is very seldom an end product. His awareness is lacking as far as I'm concerned. Every time the player behind him gets the ball instead of getting on his bike and making a forward run for the ball to be played to him he stands and waits for a ball to feet. On the occasions he does get a ball in front of him he seems to run past his marker and then turns back on himself instead of whipping a ball into the box. I'm not having a go at him but I feel there is something lacking although it's not all his fault; the number of times the ball goes down the left hand side of the park and nobody ever seems to look up and try switching it to the right where he is invariably standing in acres of space waiting for a ball to run onto. Oh aye and yesterday proved one thing to me Hateley will never be a left back.

I know that if we had got through the draw would have been completely different but can't help thinking that if we had got through and were given the group that Odense got we might actually have had a right good chance of making it a season to remember. look at Fulham last year/ Mon the Dossers

Jimmo another option would be as follows If the train gets into Queen St at 23:29 it gives you plenty of time to get down to the low level and catch the 00:06 train to Airdrie. When you get to Coatbridge phone Penny Cars (private hire company) and get them to meet you at the station to get you over to Motherwell. They always give you a decent rate and are really reliable Mon the Dossers.
-
We definately need somebody in the midfield who will make runs to back up the front players. I though the big difference between us and Odense last week was the ability they had to play a ball up to their front man who basically trapped it and played it back into the path of their midfield who were always willing to get forward to support them. On the other hand when we played a ball up top if we manged to get it under control there was never anybody backing up the front players and Blackman and Murphy were left looking for some way to get past the defence on their own.

Apart from the usual Irish folk songs coming from the South Stand why the F**k were the "Green Brigade" allowed to stand for the whole game and not just stand but stand in the passageways that are supposed to be used in the event of an emergency. Anyway shite game; shite ref. If the penalty hadn't been given we could still have been playing now waiting for a goal. Whether it was a penalty or not is debateable but there is no way McDonald's position on the halfway line gave him a view to make the call and deem it a red card. (Reynold or Craigans nearness doesn't have any bearing on the decision. All the talk about last man is bullshit. The rule is if a player is denied a goalscoring opportunity its a penalty.) Onwards & upwards. Mon the Dossers
